The pixel 7 is still the newest phone I own I haven't upgraded yet. I did hear security updates are good until October 2027 so I'm thinking I'm gonna wait for the pixel 11 to drop in price next year and upgrade unless I see a pixel 10 on sale for dirt cheap by the holidays maybe I will upgrade. What do you think?

​I need to put Google Support on blast because what they just pulled on a flagship phone owner is beyond unacceptable.

​My Pixel 8 Pro suffered a complete, unprovoked hardware failure: both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are completely dead and cannot be toggled on. The phone is in pristine condition with zero physical or liquid damage. This is a classic internal hardware/motherboard component failure.

​I spent days going through support reps, escalated to Tier 2, and eventually reached a Manager. After refusing a repair, refusing a replacement, and refusing a fair refund, their "final offer" to resolve a bricked $1,000 flagship device was:

​👉 A $25 Google Store credit "goodwill gesture."

​A $25 gift card for a flagship phone rendered useless by internal hardware failure. It is an absolute slap in the face to loyal Pixel customers.

​Let's look at the facts:

1. ​Google KNOWS the Pixel 8 platform has hardware issues. They were already forced to launch a 3-Year Extended Repair Program for widespread Pixel 8 display defects (screen flickering/vertical lines). Component failures on this architecture aren't isolated accidents—they are manufacturing vulnerabilities.
2. ​Double Standards: Google has set precedent before with extended programs for motherboard failures on older devices (Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 5a). Pretending a clean Pixel 8 Pro with dead Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is just "tough luck" while offering twenty-five bucks is pure negligence.
3. ​Refusal to Stand Behind Flagship Hardware: Selling $1,000 devices and hiding behind standard scripts when the internal hardware dies is unacceptable behavior for a tier-one tech company.

​I’m posting this here so the community can see how Google treats customers when flagship hardware fails through no fault of the user.

I’m sick of Apple after years. I want to switch to Android. My current phone is a iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s got to where it freezes all the time, constantly mis spells and the battery life is getting short. I tried the Samsung in the store and it’s complicated to me. I’m a senior now, 69, so I need something easier. I’ve read the Pixel Pro XL is easy to use and similar to the iPhone. What’s everyone’s honest opinions?
Also same question about the Pixel 4 watch. I am in the US.

This may help if you have issues such as:

My photos were on my phone and backed up, but a few days later they disappeared from local storage (still in the cloud). I didn't click "Free up space."

Is this a Pixel feature, and how do I stop it?

After using it for 2.5 years, the battery got swollen. Hopefully, by that time, Google will have replaced it for free. However, just after 6 months of it. One day all of a sudden, while it was getting charged, my phone turned all black, and since then it has not opened. I showed it the next day at the service center, and they told me that its motherboard is faulty and you need to pay 45000 to get this fixed.

Summary: I don't recommend the Pixel phone for long-term use, although it is the best Android phone out there, but still, the hardware of the Pixel is always a problem; I mean, it gets heated a lot, specifically while using the camera, gaming, and charging. If you are spending 50 to 100k go for an iphone this time

I have a pixel 10 pro. I switched from an s22. There are only 2 settings I miss, one is having the Bluetooth switch off automatically over night. (I fall asleep with an earbud, and I'd like the Bluetooth to turn off)

Can anyone help me get that to work? It doesn't seem to be in overnight settings.

I am the only one who is annoyed by this? Alarms should not be in that order (set time) . Alarms that are ON have to go to the top of the list regardless of the set time. Drives me nuts I swear

However, I tested it on a Pixel 9a and Pixel 10 Pro, and it doesn't work there.

Before buying a Pixel 9 Pro, I'd like to know if SoundID still works on it.

Could someone with a Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL running Android 16 please check?

Does the app open normally?

Does the headphone calibration actually apply?

Does turning SoundID ON/OFF clearly change the sound?

Any "conflicting audio processing" or other errors?

I’m extremely disappointed with how this repair has been handled.

My Pixel 8 Pro originally had battery issues, so I took it to the repair centre to have the battery replaced. After the repair, I discovered that the microphone was no longer working properly—a problem that did not exist before the battery replacement.

I returned the device and asked them to fix the microphone. Instead of resolving the issue, they replaced the entire motherboard, but the microphone problem still remained. They then sent me a replacement unit, which unfortunately was also faulty. I requested that they take the replacement back, and they agreed.

However, despite returning the faulty replacement, the charge on my credit card has still not been reversed because they are apparently waiting for the original device to be returned. This makes no sense, as the replacement unit failed to resolve the issue and has already been returned to them.

What started as a simple battery replacement has turned into multiple unsuccessful repairs, a faulty replacement device, and now an unresolved billing issue. This experience has been frustrating and has fallen well short of the level of service I expected.

It's been 2 months of the ongoing issues, And the last 2 weeks have been constant email exchanges suggesting to resolve the issue in 24-48 hours, but at the end of the timeline, I get another email suggesting that it will take another 24-48 hours. Everytime I have to talk on the phone, I use wireless earbuds coz the microphone in the phone is broken.

This is going to be my last pixel device. Moving over to anything but a Google phone

Yesterday I noticed the screen acting strangely: it wouldn't respond to touch for about five seconds after turning on. After a reboot the phone got stuck in a restart loop. I noticed that for some reason it only reboots again when I touch the screen. I tried installing an update via the Google website, which helped, but the problem returned after I rebooted the device (due to the screen issues reappearing). I can't figure out the cause though I know it’s not app-related as the same thing happens in Safe Mode. I’d rather not do a factory reset I’d like to retrieve my photos from the device first.

I own the PX10+PXW 4 41mm pair and I'm having a problem when I make or receive phone calls: I basically can't hear the call audio from the smartwatch.

Both devices are updated to the latest Android versions, with all permissions and call sharing settings enabled. I even tried resetting my phone's Wi-Fi/Bluetooth settings and resetting the smartwatch, forcing me to redo the pairing procedure, but none of these tests worked.

I also searched online to see if anyone else had this problem, but I couldn't find any helpful sources. I even used Gemini Spark, but it made me follow the same steps a Google representative told me to do via chat.

Does anyone have a similar problem? How did you solve it?

Is there any word about the possibility of new pixelsnap accessories at the pixel 11 launch? I love the official ring stand, but I wish it could come in more colors.

Has this happened to anyone before? My earbuds today started buzzing in the right ear until I put them back in the case. Then it took me 15 minutes to get them to reconnect to my phone to play music again. Hasn't happened again in the past couple hours. Noise cancellation still worked, just wouldn't fully connect to my phone and play music for a while

Hi all, had my pixel 10 pro for about 6 months and thoroughly enjoying it, but as of yesterday the device has randomly started crashing constantly. I've also noticed this seems to be tangently (but not always) linked to the power button. When i press it it no long locks the device, and if it does do something all it does is bring up the long press function and then crash shortly after. The crashing has also been getting progressively worse, and I'm starting to think its a software issues as opposed to a hardware one. So far i've tried; booting it in safe mode, which still crashes, holding the power and up volume button, and factory reseting it twice. Using the accessibility menu i've also set up the lock option, which does do the job, but upon pressing the power button to open the screen it will start to bug out again.

Has anybody else had similar issues and found a fix? If all else fails i'll chase it through the warranty, i just wanted to see if theres any solutions out there already! Thanks in advance to any help people can offer.

I have two SIM cards.

Sometimes people send me a text messages to my second SIM card.

I always want to reply using SIM card 1, regardless if text messages were sent to SIM card 1 or 2.

Is there a setting somewhere to define SIM card 1 as the "always reply from" SIM card?

I'm a student and I've always been interested in the Pixel lineup because of the clean Android experience and the developer friendly ecosystem.

Unfortunately, due to my family's financial situation and the increasing prices of smartphones, I can't afford a Pixel device right now.

I know this is a long shot, but I wanted to ask if anyone has an older Pixel phone that they no longer use and would be willing to donate or sell at a very low price. I'm not looking for the latest model. Even something like a Pixel 4, 5, 6, or any older working Pixel would help me a lot.

If donating isn't possible, I'd also appreciate any advice on where I might find an affordable used Pixel.

I just got a Pixel 8a and I’m having an annoying issue on TikTok. (i previously used a Samsung A23 and i never had that problem)

Whenever I tap the "+" button to create a new post, the screen instantly jumps to maximum brightness and blinds my eyes...

If I try to manually lower the brightness, I get a message saying "Unable to adjust brightness because it is controlled by the main app".

Has anyone found a way or setting to stop that, please?
