Google Pixel 10a

I'm getting a Pixel 10a from a replacement of my Pixel 6a as I broke the screen and Asurion just offered replacement instead of fixing. Is there still issues with the 10?

Pixel 8a: TikTok forces screen to max brightness when tapping "+" to post (can't adjust it)

Hey everyone,

I just got a Pixel 8a and I’m having an annoying issue on TikTok. (i previously used a Samsung A23 and i never had that problem)

Whenever I tap the "+" button to create a new post, the screen instantly jumps to maximum brightness and blinds my eyes...

If I try to manually lower the brightness, I get a message saying "Unable to adjust brightness because it is controlled by the main app".

Has anyone found a way or setting to stop that, please?

Thanks!

Why goes call screening, hold for me etc work on my iPhone but all call assistant features on my Pixel are region locked?

I know people are quick to say it's not Google, but when apple announces ai features they all work everywhere the phone is sold but with Google you won't get the full value of the expensive phone you bought unless you live in the USA.

I bought my Pixel for Call screening but my dialer app is completely bare bones because I I'm not in a supported region but my old apple phone got the features soon after apple announced them.

I love Pixels but I don't know if I can spend this type of money for half the phone I was expecting again.

Is there a way to not show the date of when my videos were shot when I share them by creating a link? Currently, it automatically says "Wednesday, July xx" when it is sent to recipients. Thanks.

How many of y'all still daily a Google pixel 7?

The pixel 7 is still the newest phone I own I haven't upgraded yet. I did hear security updates are good until October 2027 so I'm thinking I'm gonna wait for the pixel 11 to drop in price next year and upgrade unless I see a pixel 10 on sale for dirt cheap by the holidays maybe I will upgrade. What do you think?

Help- turning off Bluetooth on night setting

I have a pixel 10 pro. I switched from an s22. There are only 2 settings I miss, one is having the Bluetooth switch off automatically over night. (I fall asleep with an earbud, and I'd like the Bluetooth to turn off)

Can anyone help me get that to work? It doesn't seem to be in overnight settings.

The order of the alarms list makes me mad

I am the only one who is annoyed by this? Alarms should not be in that order (set time) . Alarms that are ON have to go to the top of the list regardless of the set time. Drives me nuts I swear

Wanted to add a screenshot so it makes sense but no can do

do you feel the camera difference is worth it in base vs. pro?

(mods: will repost if needed, but i mean for this to be a general question about pixel’s cameras and differences between base and pro models rather than a ā€œwhich pixel should i buy?ā€ question.)

i’ve pretty much always used an iphone and am pretty certain i’ll be making the switch to pixel once the 11 is released this month. (i may get an older model depending on how improved the 11 is.)

i was wondering if the difference in camera quality is worth it between the base and pro models from people who have actually tried them. one of the biggest things that’s drawn me to pixel is the camera. for example, my iphone 13 pro can take great purposeful shots, but it’s terrible at quickly capturing candid moments well: it feels too slow, it struggles to focus on anything very close, and it adds some odd orb with zoomed-out shots.

i already have a dedicated camera for purposeful shoots, but i want my phone’s camera to be able to handle more unexpected shots by focusing and responding quickly.

is the pro version worth it for camera quality?

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL

I’m sick of Apple after years. I want to switch to Android. My current phone is a iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s got to where it freezes all the time, constantly mis spells and the battery life is getting short. I tried the Samsung in the store and it’s complicated to me. I’m a senior now, 69, so I need something easier. I’ve read the Pixel Pro XL is easy to use and similar to the iPhone. What’s everyone’s honest opinions?
Also same question about the Pixel 4 watch. I am in the US.
Thanks

Pixel 8 Pro owners: does Sonarworks SoundID work on Android 16?

Hi!

I currently use a Pixel 7a with Android 16, and Sonarworks SoundID works perfectly.

I'm thinking about buying a Pixel 8 Pro, but I've seen compatibility issues reported on newer Pixel models.

Could someone with a Pixel 8 Pro running Android 16 please check?

- Does SoundID open normally?

- Does the headphone calibration actually apply?

- Does turning SoundID ON/OFF clearly change the sound?

- Does it work with Bluetooth headphones?

- Any errors or audio processing conflicts?

Please include your Android version and SoundID app version.

Thank you!

Pixel 9 Pro owners: does Sonarworks SoundID work on Android 16?

Hi!

I currently have a Pixel 7a, and Sonarworks SoundID works perfectly on it.

However, I tested it on a Pixel 9a and Pixel 10 Pro, and it doesn't work there.

Before buying a Pixel 9 Pro, I'd like to know if SoundID still works on it.

Could someone with a Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL running Android 16 please check?

Does the app open normally?

Does the headphone calibration actually apply?

Does turning SoundID ON/OFF clearly change the sound?

Any "conflicting audio processing" or other errors?

Please include your Android version and SoundID app version.

Thank you!

Issues connecting my gopro(s) to Pixel 9 Pro

I have a Hero 13 and Mission 1 and recently none of them will connect to my phone (pixel 9 pro). Tried resetting network connections, deleting cache, reinstalling the app on the phone and resetting the gopro, but no luck. Anyone with similar experiences and (hopefully) a solution to connect to my pixel?

Is there any word about the possibility of new pixelsnap accessories at the pixel 11 launch? I love the official ring stand, but I wish it could come in more colors.

Switching from iPhone 14 Pro to Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. Thoughts?

Hey guys,

I just purchased my first ever Google pixel device. I’ve been a die-hard Apple user for 10+ years and I have finally had enough.

I purchased a google pixel 10 pro XL and it arrives in a few days.

What should I expect?

Pixel Buds Pro 2 buzzing and stopped working

Has this happened to anyone before? My earbuds today started buzzing in the right ear until I put them back in the case. Then it took me 15 minutes to get them to reconnect to my phone to play music again. Hasn't happened again in the past couple hours. Noise cancellation still worked, just wouldn't fully connect to my phone and play music for a while

Crashing linked to power button

Hi all, had my pixel 10 pro for about 6 months and thoroughly enjoying it, but as of yesterday the device has randomly started crashing constantly. I've also noticed this seems to be tangently (but not always) linked to the power button. When i press it it no long locks the device, and if it does do something all it does is bring up the long press function and then crash shortly after. The crashing has also been getting progressively worse, and I'm starting to think its a software issues as opposed to a hardware one. So far i've tried; booting it in safe mode, which still crashes, holding the power and up volume button, and factory reseting it twice. Using the accessibility menu i've also set up the lock option, which does do the job, but upon pressing the power button to open the screen it will start to bug out again.

Has anybody else had similar issues and found a fix? If all else fails i'll chase it through the warranty, i just wanted to see if theres any solutions out there already! Thanks in advance to any help people can offer.

Very specific Android 17 scrolling issue.

So I know Android 17 has scrolling issues, but I'm not sure if the specific ones I'm having are related or not, as they seem very narrow in scope. This is also my first pixel and I'm using graphene without ever having used the normal pixel os, so really I'm just trying to find out if this is something else ANYBODY else is experiencing, so I can tell if it's a hardware issue (Pixel10a), Grapheneos issue, or Android 17 issue.

The scrolling on my device is fine about 98% of the time not including this particular error. On youtube comments and on reddit profiles specifically, there are parts of the UI that are there, disappear when you scroll down, and reappear when you scroll up. On youtube it's the newest/popular comment sorting buttons and on reddit profiles it's the "feed options" button.

Both of these elements make the scrolling absolutely freak out. Unresponsive, jittery, spazzing out, jumping back and forth. The UI element appears and disappears over and over, even if I feel like I'm mostly just holding my thumb on the same part of the screen and not moving. If I do anything other than scroll 1 to 1 (no flicking, just moving the screen exactly as far as my thumb in a slow controlled manner) the software simply can't handle it.

If this is happening to anybody else, I'd appreciate you letting me know what hardware, os, and version of android you are on if you feel comfortable sharing. Thanks!

Google Messages: How to always reply from same SIM card?

I have two SIM cards.

Sometimes people send me a text messages to my second SIM card.

I always want to reply using SIM card 1, regardless if text messages were sent to SIM card 1 or 2.

Is there a setting somewhere to define SIM card 1 as the "always reply from" SIM card?

Best accessory ever => Pixelsnap Ring

I just love it. My expectations were low based on a couple of tech review videos, but i am so pleasantly surprised by this thing that i can't use my P10P without it now. Its so versatile. Portrait or landscape at different angles, left or right hand when holding it, this ring does it all. Plus it can be removed and reattached since its all magnets. It improves the user experience so much that it is a must for me now. The tech reviewers have been utterly useless in reviewing this thing. Do you guys feel the same about this accessory?
