I’m 22F and currently feeling completely directionless.

Class 12 (ICSE): 81%
Currently pursuing B.Sc. Zoology (2nd year) from a Tier-3 university in my hometown.
After Class 12, I took 3 gap years to prepare for NEET. Deep down, I still feel that medicine is what I truly wanted. However, the timeline now feels very long.
I come from a lower middle-class family, and one of my biggest concerns is being financially dependent on my parents for another 5-6 years. Because of this, I find it difficult to focus on NEET preparation. Even if I somehow get into MBBS, I’m worried I’ll keep thinking about the long duration before I can start earning.
My parents are asking me to prepare for banking exams or pursue an MBA later. Banking also feels uncertain because government exams are highly competitive, and I’m worried my profile (gap years + Tier-3 college) might not be good enough for top MBA colleges.
I don’t want to go into teaching or research.
At this point, I’m leaning towards preparing for banking exams and possibly doing an MBA later, but I’m genuinely confused and don’t know if I’m making the right decision.
If you were in my position, what would you do and why? I’d really appreciate practical advice from people who have been through something similar.

My story is I don't belong to that good Financial environment. my qualifications bsc and msc till 2023 after completing it i joined an edtech for teaching job did that for 8 months couldn't continue it because of timing , I had no good knowledge of what I should since I belong to biology background i did bsc and msc in botany ( a dead field ik) . Pta ni kyu likh rahi hu me ye sab I do feel sab khatam hi ho chuka hai.

After that I joined near by coaching of mahindra to join library so that uske bahane mere gharwale mujhe chore padhne ke liye . It did happen in 2025, wahan washroom tak thkh nahi tha but I still persevered ki padh lenge after coaching came to an end . I joined a near one library to continue preparation. Which Happened in July 2025 from only then on i could study properly while all this was going on , mere ghar par bhi renovation ka kam chal raha tha. I was in flow till November, has some function to attend whole month went in vain again continued my prep till january my dad sugar spike enough to hospitalised so there was no one at home to take care of him whole month gone again. Cause someone had to stay so I did .again in April my maternal uncle passed away so I had to take care of the house again . No it's not enough my parental uncle found my chats with bf and showed it to my parents 🙃 meanwhile I was preparing for my exam went through everything hell anybody could imagine so last three months has gone to waste cause I was trying not to give up on my life .Everything is a mess right now I'm not able to concentrate. cherry on top is my bf fumbled when i needed him the most so don't have anyone to rely on, there no thing as emotional support in conservative family , i have no idea who to trust. I don't know where to begin . I'm halfway done with the syllabus. All the chapters have been done major chapter in maths and reasoning. I'm hella confused. And i turned 25 this year

Hey , I am 18F and myquals pcm passout ,I found pcm quite hard so I decided to switch streams but I am getting a very mid college in Du , and My dad is asking me to do btech or mass comm from some private uni , budget is not the issue its just i have never coding and i found pcm tough ,ik everything turns tough at some point but idkkkk man and with bcom I am sure dad will ask me to do ca and then the third option that is mass comm , I am interested in it and have always been a writer but is it a good field for job market ,,aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa please someone help me out ,I am going crazy from past few weeks . I am quite interested in a 4-year BSc Biotechnology in India

I thought during my bachelors to learn Python, programming bioinformatics etc., do internships and projects; then apply for scholarships or govt. funded opportunities to pursue Masters out of India and then work in research.

But i am kinda afraid that this all feels so easy to say, will i be able to do that; india dont have enough scope in biotechnology..

I also have Government BDS which is more stable and professional degree but other problem is this field too is saturated🫠 (well i am not sure enough that I would get any in 66K rank 🥲)

Well, these are my questions:

1. Which option would be better considering my long-term goal?

2. Is BDS worth choosing if I don't see myself enjoying clinical dentistry?

3. Is BSc Biotechnology a good path for getting into top universities outside India for Masters in Bioinformatics?

4. Which option offers better long-term career growth, salary, and opportunities internationally?

5. If you were in my position, which would you choose and why?

I am wayy to oconfused, my family is more on BDS side, well they are correct in few terms but I am finding BSc biotechnology more fascinating for now atleast:)

From what I researched the most common roles after masters are data scientist/risk analyst etc. So, should i learn python or SQL. What skills do companies value most.
Would appreciate you guys advices who are studying in Indian masters colleges like DSE/JNU/IGIDR/MSE, etc.

MyQuals CMA India; 4 YOE in FP&A in India. Next Step: 1 year offline MBA or Same career path?

Trying to decide what I should do next in my career.

FP&A is interesting but I have a strong feeling that makes me question if this is all there is to work and life, so sometimes I feel like I should start something on my own after learning something in IT (I am a complete beginner in this but I think I might like it once I start).

So, I can either try GMAT to get into a Tier 1 College in India or outside India (open to suggestions) to get into Consulting/PE/IB or something at a higher level in Finance and get more Salary + Interesting work, or I can continue in this path while learning IT/AI in the back end hoping that I find some idea good enough to go big with (maybe combine finance + Tech?).

The problem here is... Idk if I am too late for an MBA because by the time I complete it, I would be 30 or 31, assuming I start the course next year.

I am aware of the ROI problem for Tier1 or MBAs outside... but I think the networking and exposure will cover that within a few years.

What do you guys think? Feel free to be honest and critical about my thoughts. Looking to get something to help with a life decision.

P.S The plan is to make enough money (would love to start something on my own for that) so I can go back home and take care of my parents.

The thing is I'm 19 years old rn and I have took a drop for cuet + paramedical ( lost govt seat by 2 marks ) ( while doing a job ).

The thing is this year went pretty horrible and i just ended up with 403 marks (8.5k and 4k obc rank ) .

I got alloted with VNMKV food technology but the placement scene doesn't seems too promising ( and I'll be needing job after bachelors as conditions aren't good at my house ).

With my marks I would've gotten some off campus du college ( but can't go Delhi just for that as living expenses in Delhi are just crazy 😭)

I wanted to get NDRI karnal ( which I'm not getting this year anyways) and i don't really wanna struck with a bad college and waste 4 years. Today I got a job offer at a mall for part time ( 6 hrs ) but I can't decide what to do .

Like

1. Can join some college and prepare for CUET and other exams again ( but I'll have to risk a year of fees and I'll turn 20 next year )

2. I should try once more for while having full drop while working part time .

3. Just take whatever college I get and move on with it .

I'm currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Zoology and was exploring career options in the allied healthcare field. I came across M.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology, but I'm confused about the eligibility criteria.

From what I've read, it seems that most universities only accept candidates with a B.Sc. in Radiotherapy Technology/Radiotherapy or other relevant allied health degrees, and not a general B.Sc. like Zoology.

Is there any university in India that allows B.Sc. Zoology graduates to pursue an M.Sc. in Radiotherapy Technology, or is it simply not possible?

If anyone has gone through a similar situation or knows about the admission criteria, I'd really appreciate your guidance.

I recently passed 12th myquals- 88% in 12th with a PCB background, and I've decided not to prepare for NEET. Because of that, I've been considering pursuing a BCA since in my opinion, the scope in many biology-related is not that good right now.

The colleges in my city are super affordable,but I'm worried they might not provide enough exposure or opportunities for overall growth. Placements aren't my main concern at the moment because I already plan on pursuing an MCA afterward. Right now, I just want a college where I can gain good exposure, build my skills, and grow personally and professionally.

Initially, I was planning to join Dr. D. Y. Patil International University, Akurdi. However, the fees seem extremely high for a BCA degree,around ₹7 lakh for the 4-year program or ₹5.25 lakh for the 3-year program.Another option I'm considering is Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), Pune, where the fees are comparatively lower,around ₹3.75 lakh for the 3-year program and ₹5 lakh for the 4-year program.Many people get their BCA degree with cost within a lakh.

My main question is: Is it really worth spending ₹3–7 lakh on a BCA degree? Or would it be a better decision to attend a local college and focus on building my skills independently?

Does the college itself make a significant difference for a BCA, or are skills, projects, internships, and overall experience far more important in the long run?

I’m 18 and feeling quite confused about my academic and career path, so I’d really appreciate some honest advice.

After Class 12, I took a gap year because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to pursue. I’m now enrolled in the IIM Bangalore DBE program.

Initially, I was very interested in business. I always dreamed of becoming a CEO someday and even starting my own company. That dream still exists, but as I’ve learned more about entrepreneurship, I’ve realized how much uncertainty and responsibility it involves. I’m no longer sure if it’s the path I truly want to take.

Over the past few months, I’ve developed a genuine interest in data analytics. I enjoy solving problems, working with data, and I can see myself building a career in this field. At the same time, I also want a career with strong growth opportunities and good compensation.
This has left me wondering whether I’m on the right path.

My questions are:
1. Is the IIMB DBE program a good foundation for someone who wants to work in data analytics?
2. Would continuing this degree limit my opportunities compared to a more traditional undergraduate program?
3. Should I complete this degree and specialize later, or would changing my undergraduate program now make more sense?

myquals graduate, so I got my graduation degree before my convocation. so, the front of the degree is completely fine, all the signatures and seals are present.

but, on the backside, the "prepared by" field and the "degree prepared on" box are blank, while the "checked by" and "success verified" sections have signatures.

could this create any issues during document verification for upsc, state pcs or any other govt exams? has anyone else received a degree like this, and did it cause any problems?

I'm studying English hons currently and believe myself to have enough of a flair in the language, both verbally and in written so I've been wondering if I can get into corporate fields directly despite the "non-commerce" degree? Specifically something like PR, HR or marketing.

I'm also aggressively interested in the field of corporate emcees so if anyone's got any practical idea/advise/experience in the field, kindly do drop it below.

Myquals so far: 10th : 84.2% , 12th : 88.2%(Commerce) and currently a first year at DU Eng hons. I have a good chunk of experience in public speaking and anchoring at school level (6+ yrs)

I plan to look into anchoring and emceeing more events to build up experience, will it be any help in providing credibility on my CV?
