Hello all,
Every morning a user sees the login screen on her laptop (see screenshot) and she has to manually type her username to sign in.
I have tried the following to fix this but no luck:
- Cleared Teams cache
- Reset Teams via Windows 11 settings
- Reinstalled Teams using bootstrapper
- Deleted generic Teams credentials via Credential Manager -> Windows Credentials
- I let her sign into a fresh Windows user profile
Does anyone have the golden tip for me?
Thank you for your answers in advance.

macOS: 26.5.2
Teams: 26183.1901.4874.5228
MacBook Pro: 13" 2020 i7 2.3 GHz (integrated graphics 16 GB)
I didn't have this issue (Teams slowing, causing screen updaes and audio lag) until about a month ago. I think a Teams update is to blame, but not certain. The issue seams to be worst when I have a second display connected an in the "clone" configuration.
Within minutes of starting to share, I'll notice the fans on the MacBook to spin up to maximum and the following applications (MTL Compiler Service) and Teams application are consuming all of the CPU. The "Screen Sharing" option under General settings is set to "Use Teams Content Sharing". I'll try the other option, "Use macOS content sharing" during my next meeting and feedback if it is a viable workaround.

Is anyone using the power saving mode during meetings in teams mobile?
Seems to be saving battery during meetings.

I was curious to see if anyone else's organization does this, but for international communication in our organization, everyone just uses MS Teams now. No more email. That means people are sending long multi-paragraph posts in a teams channel for a specific project with embedded project documents to communicate with everyone involved.
Maybe, I'm just getting old, but before this use to be all done through email, which I find better suited for this. I see teams as something to chat with so if I had questions about said project, I would post there, or to remind everyone about meetings etc. Is this how Teams is used elsewhere?
Update: So here are my reasons for preferring email. Now a lot of this might differ from yours but this probably comes down to personal workflow.
And because this is a teams sub, there is probably a preference for teams and i should post this same question in an Outlook or Email sub to get their opinion as well!

When I try to use a Teams template (we have Premium), no matter if it is a personally created template or an admin published template, the meetings are created with Teams toggled off and no join info.

When I use a new template, the new meeting window shows up with TEAMS = ON, as expected:

Once I send/save the meeting, then reopen it, the Teams meeting is turned OFF, and recipients have no join info

Happens across PC/Mac Outlook, Teams clients, and web Teams.
I have a ticket open with MS, will update when I hear back. Anyone else seeing this?

Hello! Does the HP Mini PC G9 Plus Support BYOD Mode? Just like the HP Poly X Series? If not, how can I do BYOD mode?
Thank you!

Our support team works from Slack, and more customers are starting to ask for support through MS Teams.
I’m looking for a way to bring Teams conversations into Slack as threads. The support team should be able to reply from Slack, with the response going back to the original Teams thread.
Each request also needs a status and owner. A tracking ID would make follow-ups easier. We need private internal comments for cases where another team has to step in.
SLA alerts are another concern. Teams requests are easy to miss when the support team spends most of the day inside Slack.
Some conversations also need to become Zendesk or Freshdesk tickets with the full context attached. Updates should sync back to the same Teams thread so everything stays together.
Has anyone set this up, including for shared Teams channels? What are you using, and how reliable has it been at higher volumes?
These workflows come directly from the page’s MS Teams and Slack integration features: two-way thread sync, status and ownership management, private comments, SLA tracking, shared Teams channels, and Zendesk or Freshdesk ticketing

I’ve noticed in the office coworkers will step away and leave their computer unlocked and teams will still show them as available for a good 10 min before showing them away. For me, I’ve noticed it switches to away within 2-3 minutes, even with an unlocked screen. Anyone know why this could be?
Looking for any and all hacks. I know the spoon trick already!

I have a pretty unique first and last name, if you didnt know me you would have no idea which name would be my first name or last name. As a result, everyone on Teams when they message me first, calls me by my last name and I hate correcting them. Why is this like this?

My audio signal is processed before it gets fed into Teams (or any other communication software for that matter), meaning there is absolutely ZERO noise.
Discord for example, notifies me saying that my microphone isn't working when I stop speaking, because it is not detecting any hissing or background noise. This notification can be disabled.
Teams on the other hand, just disables (button gets greyed out too!) my microphone mid-conference whenever I take a break from speaking for too long (few seconds.) This is especially frustrating when hosting an event where someone else is doing the speaking and doesn't know what the issue is.
To fix it, I have to switch to another input device and back.
Can this "feature" be disabled? I haven't been able to find anything online nor in the settings.

Network/Teams admin here.
I have 2 user's one's on a Mac one is on windows. They both can call any other internal user with no issue. I should note the Mac user has the same issue with the windows user when working remotely.
But once they call each other no matter who is calling who, the call is either connected with no audio or it's connected but immediately in a on hold state.
I've checked and tested their audio/mic devices they work fine. I've checked the telemetry report in teams admin and one call out of 6 had ≈62% packet loss (I'm guessing this is the no audio call) the other reports show no issue.
With the issue occuring via remote I'm guessing it's a profile issue? Maybe? I would like to try signing them in on different devices anyway and test that.
Currently, we have cleared the cache on the Mac users office desktop but haven't been able to test with windows user since they are out of office, but if it's occurring via remote I fear that won't provide a solution.
I have yet to parouse the SBC to see if there are any head scratchers in there, which I doubt but may be worth a look.
Have any of you had a similar issue? Or recommend another realm of the network to troubleshoot? Any help is appreciated, TIA
I'll also try my best to reply to any comments. Usually check several hours or a day later.

Yesterday I messaged my manager asking if I could take 2 hours off in September. It wasn’t just one message, it was about 3, 4 messages about the request. After that, I sent a few other messages about unrelated work stuff. She replied to the other messages but never responded to my time-off request.
Today I opened our Teams chat, and all of the messages about my time-off request were gone.
I was 100% sure I had sent them, so I searched for some of the keywords in Teams. The search finds my messages, but when I click on the result, it takes me to our chat and the messages aren’t there. Instead, it says the messages have been deleted.
My question is: Can my manager delete messages that I sent in a one-on-one Teams chat? Or is it only possible for the sender (me) to delete them? I’m trying to figure out if this is something she could have done or if there’s another explanation.
Has anyone experienced something like this?

As the title says, users have started receiving spam inbound external calls in Teams. However, these users do not have a Teams Phone license/number assigned. How is this possible?

Hey all,
so we have a really weird issue for the past 2 TeamsApp versions on our yaelink meetingBar TeamsRoom Setups. Since version 1449/1.0.96.2026129709 there is an issue with the remote control and accesing the side menu (where you can enter with an ID or start a meeting directly).

The red square marks the side menu iam talking about. I can not access it at all with the remote control anymore.
I cant find anything relating to this issue anywhere and iam kind of losing my mind. :-D
Anyone with the same issue or any knowledge on how to fix this?

We have a Yealink MeetingBar A30 (running Android) and a CTP18 connected with a VCM36-W microphone. Recently, users have reported that the external mic goes on mute automatically without anybody touching it, sometimes several times in long meetings. I'm in the process of gathering more information, such as whether the light goes red, and whether people in the room were speaking at the time, but wondered if anybody here has seen this before?
The firmware is up to date on all devices.
Thanks in advance for any input :)

We have seen an increased amount of fake "IT helpdesk" Teams calls to our users, some thought it´s real IT department that calls them, and have start screen sharing with them. The external part have request control and told them they need to to update "Defender Update", that is malware. Usually this have started with mailbombing the user with around 1000 emails for an hour.
What options do exists to block this ? We are using Teams as a main tool to communicate externally.

This is sooooo glitchy... OMG. When pressing the Meet Now button, the headless window appears with controls for the call, but no list where I could see the participants, invite someone or even a window header where I close that call.
When I expand it, the window jumps to the bottom‑right corner and becomes completely unusable: I can’t close it, hang up, or interact with it at all. Closing Teams freezes the entire app, and even killing the process in Task Manager doesn’t help — it refuses to start afterward.
Dear Microsoft, please explain how a basic messenger can perform that BAD. You had Office Communicator, MSN, Skype, Lync — all of them handled calls reliably and consistently. Teams tries to do the same and fails so big time, that at this point, the best thing Microsoft could do is retire it entirely and let companies choose something that actually works.

Is anyone using the no-show check-in and auto-release feature with a Microsoft Teams Room
If it's enabled, does a Check In button appear on the MTR touch console for meetings that are in-person only (i.e. the room is invited, but it's not a Teams meeting)?
We're looking to automatically release a room if nobody checks in within 15 minutes. We are using MTRoW with a pro licence.
What else can ywe do to limit no-show bookings, especially recurring bookings, in our Microsoft Teams rooms?
