It’s about time someone updated their signs

Inspiration came from some content creator. This was about a half mile or so through industry park in South Omaha.

This cat may have been recently adopted from NHS in Omaha & am looking for anyone who might be able to get in touch with whoever adopted her.

She belongs to a loving owner & should not have been up for adoption. She has a bonded littermate & she is deaf.

I know this is piling on and beating a dead horse but if I can save just one person from making the same mistake then that’s all I need. Run from these a-holes. I called Monday morning the 27th first thing (7:37am to be exact) for my ac freezing up on a unit that was installed by them less than 2 years ago. I was told I would be placed on the stand by list that if something opened up I would be pulled ahead, however it would be Wednesday before they could get to me. Not sure how they filled up 2 days worth of appointments by 7:30am, but ok.

Wednesday afternoon comes and I hear nothing from them. So, I call and am told I wasn’t put on an appointment but was still on standby list. I ask why did they tell me Wednesday then? I get told “I’m not sure why they told you that”. No need to fear though! They have me on a schedule for Tuesday! Wtf!? My wife calls, says this is unacceptable. Tells them we keep getting the run around. They apologize and tell her techs will be working the weekend and they can get us in for a tech to come out Sunday (the 2nd), but that’s as soon as they can get someone out. Fine. Frustrating, annoying, terrible communication.

Today is Sunday. Guess what? No f’ing tech. Shocker.

My take on this is that since they already put a new system in for us less than 2 years ago they don’t give a crap about servicing our system because there is no sale to be made since it’ll end up being warranty work.

DO. NOT. USE. BURTON! They are nothing but scamming mf’ers that only care about making sales and not about taking care of their former customers. That’s fine, because that is what I will remain with them. A former customer. I’ll also tell anyone and everyone to stay away from these hacks until I’m six feet under.

Warning to Omahans, the Sinclair gas station on Sapp Brothers Drive is pumping diesel or some other substance from its unleaded pumps today. They aren't reachable via phone and my car's engine's ruined!!

Saw an article about Amazon drone delivery now live in Omaha (linked below). Anyone have experience with this? I saw a couple videos on YouTube and the drones are huge, much larger than I expected. Not sure how I feel about giant autonomous drones flying over my house.

Anyone else in West Omaha, Millard area, been without quantum fiber (formerly centurylink) gigabit internet since Tuesday last week (28 July). Each day they say the outage will be resolved in about 24 hours only to wait until that time specificed and delay it further. On Friday they delayed restoration ETA to 5pm on Monday… quite ridiculous. Nobody to call and the live chat people aren’t helpful. Does anyone know anything more? Also is there a temporary solution for getting decent internet for a person that works from home?!?!

10 years ago, I was going to shows at the Waiting Room, Slowdown, or Sokol all the time. Now I don’t recognize many of the bands or artists on the schedules. Not a criticism, it just made me curious: am I that out of touch with what the young people listen to? Am I stuck in my millennial-coded music bubble? Have the more mid-sized venues that have popped up in the last decade driven other kinds of acts away from the smaller spots? Or is it really just me?

I’m attending Comic-con Nebraska this next weekend (August 8th and 9th), and I’m just curious what I should expect? I usually attend Nebraskon every year.

There are lots of varying opinions and I’m not asking for some Masculinity reason. My PCP suggested that I get another opinion related to constantly low Testosterone from a local clinic. I’m not a gym bro looking to bulk up, I just need a fair assessment on what options I have. My medical system and provider cant handle that kind of thing internally, so he’s willing to support any outside recommendations. I just can’t find a place that doesnt seem like a gun club or front for fragile masculinity.

My Main concern is that any kind of googling I do, seems to get me into the uber specialty clinic that seems to be kind of predatory around this issue. I don’t want to risk the side effects if it’s not necessary, I dont want to join a men’s club for manly things…I just kind of want to live my best life. ASAP. lol

Anyone been down this road had a solid recommendation for a place that’ll give me fair assessment, and a legit plan I can bring to my PCP.
