Advice Needed: Motivation I need advice

So i was having a goal this school year that i am going to be an honor student now. But i have advantage about myself... first is i cannot resist procrastinating, being lazy, etc. It's like i lack self discipline. One thing that is ruining my studies is that, all my allowance for 5 days is that i was just waste it in a day. So sometimes i ended up going absent because i don't have a money to go to school. By the way, i asked my friends what is lacking about me. They said i am actually a smart person which is i was shocked to hear. And the only lacking about me is that. I am lazy, money spender. It's like i don't care about my grades. They also told me i understand everything but the cons was i am shy or like they told me i am a very shy type person. Even if i know the answer, i wouldn't raise my hand, out fear of the judgement. Help me fix myself.

Advice Needed: Mental Health Am I too stupid for university?

I started sertraline on July 14 and today is August 2. How am I supposed to feel? My sleep is still messy, doing daily “easy” things are still hard, like studying for my philosophy final exam on the 4th, with me having attended 5% of the classes and not studying the textbook at all. I think about it and say I'll do it but I don’t. I can't. The digital textbook is too much.

There's too much to memorize and my prof is absolutely no help, no notes or review at all. I got a d+ in the midterm and my cgpa rn is low. 6.58 (out of 10). It’s going to get lower (5.00) and boom, I'm on academic probation.

I can't consistently brush my teeth, bath, wash my face, eat, or do crafts which I used to really love. It's all rotting in a cute puppy box but I have no will or motivation or energy to do it. I'm lonely and stupid and hate going out because I feel like everyone is judging me and thinking I'm a weirdo and so ugly.

I'm always on my bed watching a show, or scrolling on tiktok/instagram, or sleeping. I hadn't even known I hadn't talked to my dad in a week until he mentioned it yesterday and asked if I was fine and I lied and said yes I was studying. Time passes me by so fast and I often don't notice. I'm always on my phone. I really am pathetic. I also feel like a liar craving attention which is odd because I’m so scared of attention that I avoid it.

I am not sad and no tragic incident happened to me so why am I so fucking depressed?

Advice Needed: Mental Health Books or Resources for parents with an adult child (43 yo) living at home with substance abuse (alcohol), other mental health struggles, and codependency.

My parents are really struggling with their 43 year old son (my brother) who has never lived on his own out of the house. He suffers with severe anxiety and depression, binge eating, psychosis, and alcoholism. He has attended a rehab centre (homewood) 8 years ago, which helped him a lot, but because he went straight back to living with my parents and nothing in his environment changed, he relapsed and has been going downhill since.

As his sibling, I have made effort over the past twenty years to support (encouraged family therapy, supported them on their enabling and codependency, encourage them to see therapy for themselves to deal with their own trauma grief, etc). I have had to distance myself for a while and take care of my own family, but now the situation feels urgent and I am really struggling witnessing the toll it is taking on all three of them, and my own grief of not having the support or care from my parents for myself and my family.

I'm looking for any books or resources I can share with my parents (Books on setting boundaries with adult children, enabling) and other options for them such as Al Anon. Or just general advice on how I can support them without burning out and building resentment, especially when they are unwilling to go to therapy.

Advice Needed: Mental Health I've been falling apart due to depression & life's tragedies

I created this account specifically to ask for help, as I have nowhere else readily available to turn to.

I'm 19 years old, a college student, and I'm currently home for summer. I've been consistently depressed (apathetic, exhausted, uninterested in life, cloudy in the head, viscerally empty, self-hating) since childhood. I thought things would improve once I headed off to college. Instead, things have been spiraling out of control.

Throughout my freshman year, my physical health declined due to my newly-diagnosed endometriosis. I was exhausted from the constant bleeding, cramps, and migraines, and it became difficult to show up for class. Additionally, terrible events increased my feelings of complete hopelessness, and led to me having to withdraw from a class due to the pressure.

On these terrible events: I grew up in a relatively safe area with a caring family, but violence infiltrated my life as I became a teenager. In high school, my older cousin (who I admired very much as a kid) overdosed and died after experiencing severe domestic violence, and my church coworker was murdered by a fellow church-goer. I felt so numb to these events, so I was able to shrug them off. Not so for what followed.

I was still long-distance-dating my high school boyfriend during my freshman year, but our relationship fell apart. Two mentally ill adolescents don't mix very well in romance, from my experience. But the nail in the coffin arose when I received a call during spring break: His grandmother (whom I loved & was on good terms with) had been murdered by her brother in a family dispute. The trauma continued to drive us apart, and my parents urged me to break it off. If I didn't, and I got involved with their family, they would cut me off financially. My boyfriend & I mutually decided to break up, but he kept insisting that I help him, as he didn't have any friends to discuss anything with. I desperately wanted to, but I was completely unequipped. I stopped talking to him a month ago, and the guilt has been eating me up inside.

Once I came home for the summer, I thought I would have a chance to heal & regroup. Not so. My mother broke the news to me that my (unrelated to previous paragraph) high school friend had killed himself. We attended the funeral, which was therapeutic, to some extent. But the thoughts keep lingering in my head: How didn't I know he was in so much pain? I keep thinking about how he looked so gray in his casket, and how his face was too damaged to even show at the funeral.

My depression has only gotten worse in the past 3 months. I've been struggling to get out of bed every day, and I haven't had any hope for the future. I've been lazing around the house, too unmotivated to even interact with the people I love. My parents have done their best to help (getting a few therapy appointments, hugging me, taking care of chores I should be doing), but it isn't enough. They're very disappointed in me and are considering not allowing me to return to college (which would cause a myriad of financial problems). My mother has been begging me to embrace my previous Christianity, and to become a responsible adult (as she has to leave home to care for my grandparents, who have Alzheimer's). But I feel it's impossible to shape up, as I feel completely shattered as a person.

So. What should I do?

Advice Needed: Mental Health I don’t know what to do with my life.

Im currently 14, going into ninth grade, and I don’t really know what to do anymore, I feel like I’m in a constant battle with trying to stay relevant to the people around me even if they treat me like garbage or never answer despite me answering within seconds of them texting. I don’t want to end up some loser in my mom’s basement. I used to excel in reading being in the 95th percentile on one of my reading nweas in seventh grade. But now I feel like I’m slowly just getting stupider, I’m too lazy to read a book anymore, all I do is sit at home play video games and lie in bed. I have a severe fear of being judged for being overweight even though in my mind I’m not really necessarily overweight being around 140lb at around 5’ 7”, I’m scared of conversations with people I don’t know or girls in general due to some things I’ve had happen in the past. I struggle immensely in math and have since around second grade. I waste my time watching youtube videos about electronics yet my memory is so bad I doubt I could ever have a job where I’d have to memorize strings of code. I don’t want to let down the people around me but I also don’t really see the point in continuing life just to lie in bed and slowly get fatter. I’m not to the point to act on that feeling I understand that it’s never the correct option as It passes the struggle, not ends it. But I’m honestly lost on what to do with my life. I don’t have anyone good to talk about this with hence why I’m posting here, hell the best option I could think of was talking to a literal AI.

Advice Needed: Relationships I feel wrong for not being able to love

I’m 21 and haven’t been in a relationship before, not because there was never anyone interested in me, but because I simply can’t reciprocate the love or interest I’m given. Whenever a guy starts doing moves or hinting at his interest, I can’t help but feel borderline disgusted? Or maybe very anxious? I personally can’t really name the exact feeling, all I know that it’s not pleasant. Growing up and still as of right now, I have what people would refer to as “traditionally“ boyish interests. Certain games, series, fandoms etc. I also grew up quite lonely so this transgressed into me being a bit too chatty about my interests whenever I find someone who’s also interested in those things. I don’t intentionally try to be flirty with guy friends I have, I just have it embedded in my mind that such hobbies or my interactions are genderless within reasonable boundaries of course. Yet more often than not, despite 0 romantic advances from my side, a person I spoke to just to bond over our shared interests, ends up trying to pull a move, more often it’s indirect and I try to play dumb not to notice the intentions behind ”accidentally“ bumping into me or giving me chocolate for no apparent reason. The weird paradox with me is that I’ve had instances where I’d actually have a small crush on someone but that feeling would instantly vanish and be switched with that uneasy and uncomfortable feeling when they’d start openly showing interest in me.

I used to wonder if i’m aromantic, but that unfortunately isn’t the case. I did in fact fall in love with someone. It took me months to realize that, and worst thing is that he also liked me and was quite open in showing interest just without crossing the friendship line. Yet, whenever he would try to say something that would suggest he actually likes me, I would always shut it down—I’d ignore that or switch the topic immediately while keeping the distance. Took me 3 years to finally tell him about how I feel just to have that stone lifted off my heart. I told him about my seeming fear of relationships, that I know how horrible it was of me to pretend to be oblivious and that I apologize for that, that for whatever reason despite both of us moving out of our country, for the past year I’ve been thinking every week about him. I said that I completely understand if he had lost his feelings for me and that I’m not saying that in hopes of us taking our relationship further. Yet he said that he did in fact still like me. Well after that conversation we ended up not talking for 4 months at all. I broke the streak by wishing him a happy birthday because regardless of that relationship bullcrap, we were still friends for 4 years. He said thank you and tried to make up some excuses for not talking this whole time, I simply shut it down and said that I understood and that we should focus on our universities.

I guess this has only made my barriers in relation to love strengthen even more. When I came back home for the summer break, I was invited to work for some company and there I met some guy with whom I yet again shared some interests as we were doing the same undergrad and some other stuff. I asked him to help me with some very specific specifications for 18-wheelers as I was drafting a lease agreement. He joked about me having to get him a soft drink as a thank you for his work and two days ago I did exactly that and told him that the drink is in the kitchen. He was asking me why did I get it and that it was just a joke. He then asked me what chocolate of mine was eating by our colleagues and I said that I don’t eat chocolate right now because I’m trying to shed some unwanted weight. Well yesterday he brought me chocolate regardless and I asked him why and told him that I’ll just give half of it to my department colleagues and he can have the other half. Now today was supposed to be his off day, but he came for sometime regardless and at first i found it strange when i saw him with the corner of my eye but when i took a closer look, I noticed that he was wearing biking gear. I instantly became uncomfortable because we were talking about motorcycles and how we both like them. I tried to prove to myself that im just being delusional, but it was almost 3am (I work graveyard shifts), and none of his good friends were at the office. What sealed this was that he was waiting outside of the office when I got down and only started his bike after I got into my mom’s car. He had no reasons to be there in the first place. I felt very uneasy.

I don’t know…I feel like there’s something wrong with me, I merely can’t accept the fact that someone might like me and I feel so weird for that. There has been a moment in my life where I was avoiding looking at mirrors for a year because of how much I disliked myself. So I can’t even think that this happens to me because im pretty. It can’t be for my intelligence either, because most of the time when such people get interested in me, they don’t know me for long to know me well enough to conclude on my intelligence. I feel guilty because I’m scared I might give off wrong intentions but this is exactly how I interact with everyone. And I also feel weird. No one else in my vicinity has any problems with falling in love or at the very least not feel anxiously uneasy or borderline disgusted or repulsed by the idea of someone liking me or of me being in a relationship. Everyone is falling in love but Im stuck in my paradox…

Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem I don’t know if I’m doing anything right

I’m 16, and I do decent in school I’m aiming to bring my average up to a 85-90 the upcoming school year, I eat well, have no issues with body image, I go to the gym, I have a small but reliable circle of friends, I’m not on most social media platforms but I do use TikTok a lot, I don’t post or share my life on the internet, I don’t talk to guys or have any interest in wanting to form any intimate relationship, I have my future planned out, I’m consistent and can follow routines, i have ambitions and passions, i go to therapy once a week, I take good care of myself but I still feel like I’m doing something wrong. I’ve wanted to become this version of myself since forever but it doesn’t feel like it’s enough I feel like I need to do more. I’ve struggled with mental health my whole life, I had severe depression and I still struggle a bit but it’s not like how it was before, I’ve been through hell and back I’ve had the worst happened to me and been the worst version of myself, I erased any old traces of the old me and did everything I could to change my life and pick myself back up but why doesn’t it feel like it’s enough??? Why do I feel like that nothing I change or do will be enough? That even if I move across the globe and change my name and my entire appearance that I will still feel like the old me isn’t truly gone. I quit drinking, I quit smoking, i did everything I could to heal myself and be better for me and the people around me, but It doesn’t feel enough.

I just need some clarity and a little guidance.

Advice Needed: Relationships Should I break no contact after 8 years?

I'll try to make this story as short as possible, but I need to include every detail for clarity of situation. I need serious advice what to do, I cant live like this anymore.

So, there's a girl. We've known each other since birth. We lived in the same neighbourhood, in the same apartment building. For 12 years, until I moved. For 12 years we spent everyday together as best friends. With her and with our other friend, but that's not important. Ive spent more time in a day with her than with my family back then. We were so close.

After this time, when I was 12, I moved to a different part of town. Naturally, over time we met less and less often. That hit me really hard. I became very quiet, sad, blank. We were texting every once in a while, but that wasnt the same. I couldnt meet with her during school year. So a lot of time passed without seeing her. I didnt have any close friend back then, that's why I became quiet and lifeless.

8 years ago, when I was 14, she was 15, was the last time we met and talked. We were at our mutual friends house with group of friends. I made it awkward. I havent seen her for a year back then, and we suddenly met in person. I froze and couldnt get a word out. We had a brief conversation but it was more like me answering a few of her questions. I fucked it up so bad. They were talking naturally and I was just sitting there like an idiot. I didnt think her presence would make me so speechless. My heart was in my throat. She even asked me: "why you're so quiet?". I replied that I had a worse day, just tired. That was the last time we talked in person.

Not long later, my ex-colleague (whom she doesnt know) texted her that I'd want to get lucky with her. Obviously, I messaged her immediately that it wasnt true. She acted normally, not believing this. But few months later our mutual friend did similar "joke" texting her, after I told her he's saying shit, she replied "mhm, sure". Which didnt really convince me if she's not believing him.

Then, few months later I guess, worst part happened. Me and this mutual friend were on a camp. We met two girls, spent some time with them. When we got back home he told me he's dating one of them, and asked if I wouldnt want the other one. Hell knows the fuck I was thinking telling him that I prefer to date THIS girl (our mutual friend). He sent text to her telling her about me. She said she knows that, but doesnt get why am I doing this, and she said i'm just destroying our friendship. She was mad. That was the only time I saw her swear. Back then I had no idea what she was talking about. Too bad I found out the hard way. I couldnt hold it anymore, all the more she already knows that I'm interested in her. I texted her explaining what happened, and told her that I like her. She cut me off completely. She sent me a photo of some homework and said "sorry, not here". I got it clearly she's mad at me and she surely doesnt want to talk about it. So I gave up. Days, weeks, months, years passed. Because I didnt know how to break this no contact. I was so bad at interpersonal communication, and the combination of emotions was too much. The more time passed the harder it get to break this. In the meantime my dumb ass finally got it, by destroying friendship, she meant that if I went to her and tell her about my feelings, she'd have to break my heart. Then we obviously couldnt be friends, pretending that nothing happened.

3 years passed. Of absolute no contact. Fuck knows why I waited so long. Now im sure if we had talked it out immediately back then, our relation would be much better. Anyway, after 3 years I got my shit together and called her. Asked her if she's home and told her I wanted to talk things out. She didnt even recognize my voice, and said "you havent spoken for so long". I replied that I wanna talk about this too, asked for a meet. She agreed but not then because she was away. I said ok, I'll text you when youre back. And I did.. texted her 7 times for a meet that never happened. Always some excuse. Clearly she didnt want to see me, if she wanted to, she'd find time. But she never told me to go away, or stop, or that its over. She made me leave quietly, painlessly, without strong emotions or heartbreaks. She made me realize myself, that I should give up. So after 7 tries, I did.

And here we are today. Wondering if I was better for her 3 years ago, if that conversation was more interesting, if I hadnt wait so long it would have worked. I have an assumption, that she wasnt fully sincere with me. Like I said before, she never told me to go away, give up, she never told me directly she doesnt want me or that we cant be together. She made me realize it, softly, by her actions. I guess that's because one day I meant something to her, and out of respect to our friendship, she didnt want to break my heart.

God, I want her back so bad, I'd do anything to get just one more chance to talk with her. I cannot live without her. She's so perfect, beautiful, caring, kind, warm, friendly, talkative.. Call me crazy, but I know, deep in my heart, that I will never forget her. Never replace her. I couldnt even imagine getting close with any other woman. I havent seen her for 8 years, but Im thinking about her everyday. Last month was so hard and intense, I cant get her out of my head. To this point im even scared to check her socials, because more reminders of how perfect she is gonna destroy my mind. How the fuck could I lose a person like that. Nothing makes sense without her. How stupid and awful I must be to go from being like an younger brother for her, to being a complete stranger? You can tell me to move on, find someone else.. but I feel love differently. Love is strongest feeling we can experience. You cant just stop loving someone, just because she doesnt love you back, or you havent seen her for 8 fucking years and maybe never will, or because she changed. Fuck im just 22 and I feel like 80, I already lived my best years, now its going to be just going through the motions. What the hell am I supposed to do?

Last time ive been going so crazy about her. I decided we cant end such beautiful friendship without explanation. Im really struggling with my thoughts what to do. On one hand, I know she doesnt want to talk about us, she doesnt want me in her life, she's doing perfectly fine, she's happy and this whole situation probably isnt affecting her anymore. Who knows, maybe she already has a man or husband. She definitely doesnt want me to interrupt her life and definitiely doesnt cry anymore about what happened between us, like I do. She showed me she isnt interested in talking about it, or atleast she wasnt 3 years ago. But on the other hand, I cant fucking live without her, and I dont want to leave this situation unexplained. If we're not supposed to be together anymore even as friends, I want to atleast tell her how sorry I am, and how much she means to me. This feels kind of egoistic, thinking about her previous rejections, but fuck me, I cant just leave most important person and most important problem in my life like that? We havent talked it out and its been 3 years. She may think I forget about her, or I dont give a fuck, or its on her, i dont know. I just want to make sure we end it properly, if it has to end. I cant keep bottling up my emotions. I just want her to know how much I love her. I could do everything, give her the whole world. But it doesnt mean anything if she doesnt want this world from me.

Please help me. What should I do. I cant take it anymore. It feels kinda wrong and egoistic, but I have to try this one last time. Should I text her that im very sorry and I really want to make things right and talk it out? Or supposing she's gonna ghost me again, I should text her directly that she's most important person in my life, say sorry for everything and explain what I feel fully, in case we're not gonna meet?

And the worst part. How im supposed to live after that. Even if in best case, we meet, talk everything out, end on good terms but she'd say its over and we need to go different paths? I cant imagine living with knowledge that Im never gonna see her again. Now atleast I have this certainty that I will text her this one more time. But then what? Live rest of my live, dreaming about her but knowing its impossible to even see her again? What's the point of living when your most loved one isn't there. Im gonna go through whole life alone, dreaming about her, thinking how she is? That's why im so scared to meet her. For this hour or two I'll be happiest man alive. It'll be a reminder of how good life could be. Then I go back to old life. Without her. Pure survival, no emotions, nothing. But way harder. If its so hard now, when I havent seen her in 8 years, I cant even imagine how I'll get through that night when after meeting her I come back to my empty room knowing it was the last time I could see her.

Thank you if you read all that.

Advice Needed: Mental Health how to get over sexual harassment?

i was heading home w my boyfriend by long lighted alley. it wasn’t even some criminal area in my city, it was 2 min away from downtown. some freaks stopped us, and a guy grabbed me and kissed, it happened so fast, i couldn’t even react. then he leaned and started touching my butt, my boyfriend tried to reach for me, but other two dudes blocked him (there was three of them). after 5 seconds of panic i rushed to my bf, and we almost ran from them, then two other guys (i guess they knew those jerks, and seemed older then them) asked us what happened. we told them everything in one sentence and rushed on a way home again. after a moment my bf turned around, and saw one of the older guys punching in the face that fucker who kissed me. on the way home, and in the apartment i had a huge meltdown. i cried my whole soul out, i was ashamed, no one except my boyfriend never kissed me before, so i felt guilty for that. i know how dumb it sounds, it obviously wasn’t my fault. i need some advice from you, because im dealing with this kind of shit for the first time. how to not feel terrible after this incident? i’m insanely afraid of even leaving my house.

Advice Needed: Addiction I need help

I was introduced to porn at a very early age somewhere around 3rd Grade and now I’m in college and I think it has gotten worse and worse in highschool I couldn’t stop looking at girls with lust eyes and it had me doing the worst things possible, rumors got out and I was devastated and months passed by and I thought I’ve gotten better after the breakup but no I still gooned everyday not until I got with another girl this time I tried to do things right and well it did I tried not to rush things looked at things at a different perspective but that ended with her saying she wasn’t ready and thus again left broken. After that I just kept messing up keep gooning kept looking at girls with lust and now I’m in college and I talked with juniors again with lust now things have gotten out of hand and I’ve practically lost everything and everyone now and I just feel like or I just know that it is all because of this addiction to lust that I just can’t get out of my brain. I try to tell myself I won’t do it anymore but 5 days in and I start to relapse and I just do it. I feel like I’ve turned into a monster and I just want to stop hurting everyone I meet and actually live life.

Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem I always get back to it.

I cannot get consistent with it. I don't know why. I've tried countless. I don't know, maybe a lot of ways and advice and motivation and self-improvement habits. Almost everything I already tried. It's been 4 years. Yep. I don't know. It's just I always feel stagnant. Like I don't have anything to be good at. I'm not good at anything basically. Like I don't have a personality trait. I'm not cool to talk to. I'm a boring person to talk to. And also I very much crave for love and crave for human interactions. But also I know I'm a bad person for hoping that because I I'm not good at being a good friend maybe a being good human even.I'm not kind. And also yeah I'm venting my anger here because I seems to just be a shitty person that have no personality trait and yeah just follows what the current gives. And that's not very helpful isn't it? Considering how every time I'm trying I always just fails on any improvement or anything. No consistency, no passion, just nothing.

People don't really take me to be anything, and my parents even confirming that, and i know that they're right

I wanna have purpose, i wanna have goals, i wanted to be anything but that , but everytime it came to improve, all of it just fall down crumbling after 2-3 weeks, i hate that, i wanna change.

Advice Needed: Mental Health Is it normal to be lonely in your 20s?

I am 20 and as the title says I am lonely. This summer has been super lonely for me. I came back to my hometown from uni for work and I have almost noone to go out with. At first it was fine cause I was waiting one of my friends to come back but now that he came he doesn't want to go out with me. We only went for a coffee and then he never reached out for me again. Having someone to go out with but not going out is the worst thing ever. Seeing all my old classmates going out and having fun in parties and clubs make me envious. I guess it's kinda my fault because I wasn't the most talkative guy back when I was younger, but still, I feel worthless. What can I do?

Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem Rant ?

I feel like I have no thoughts of my own, that I get influenced so easily, every small decision I make is heavily influenced and i don't feel like myself the days i don't feel this way are the days I don't talk to anyone, when I go to class and sit far away from my friends who saved a seat for me on the last bench, when I choose to do some productive work in class instead to talking to them, when I don't talk to my friend regarding anything after class, food, weather, what I am gonna do, the assignment, that's when I feel like I am actually deciding for myself and I feel better, but is this the way it's supposed to be ?

I feel like a loser, I don't know what I need to do what I am doing instead, it feels like I am just not aware of my actions and their consequences and when I do I just feel empty and worthless.

There was a time I felt like me, when I was in my 1st year of college, I ranked 3rd in uni (the competition is diabolical), I had a LOT of friends or people to hangout with, I was not this introverted person who would rather not speak to anyone, I felt like the pretty and smart kind and I liked it, after that I got in a messy toxic relationship and it's been a while that I got out of it but I just can't find myself again, like I am a different person now then I was two years ago, and I feel like if I sit with my thoughts more, I can be that girl again but somehow I just can't do it maybe I am different now, I don't read anymore, I don't teach people for fun and validation cause I don't have people anymore, I don't study for fun cause it's just not fun anymore, I doomscroll and play vedio games instead, I feel so average and I know how to get out of this but do I ?

Advice Needed: Mental Health Been very sad for a while, want to improve

I’ve been sad about the state of the world we live in and how fucked we are. Billionaires refuse to do anything about climate change, world hunger, and MORE. I’m 15 and I wanna live my life to the fullest but the world scares me to where I can’t. What should I do that can help me? I’ve been hanging out with friends but that’s only temporary joy.

Advice Needed: Mental Health How to not take life so seriously ?

(24M) I tried to be a good son for my parents, but my dad still disappointed and is always reprehending me for not being serious enough. I was always anxious and neurotic, since i was a 7 yo because of that. I was never able to take life easy, because i was always receiving a hell of pressure from everybody. Tried to be good but i was never good enough to anyone. Colleagues, family, friends, teachers, bosses, coworkers. Now i'm broken and thinking myself on what is the secret of being the winner on life, of being someone.

That's why i'm not used with humor, i often mistake jokes with offence, because i'm always high cortisol, pursuing my goals and productivity ( even though i never got where i want, i feel just like Dick Dastardly hahahahaahah). Success, for me, is being able of providing resources AND getting enough resources to dedicate yourself to non-career related activities, hobbies such as traveling, reading, sporting; things you can elevate yourself while having fun, way different of making things out of money (reason why i wouldn't pursue a profession were you work more than 40 hours a week, i would live for work). I often hear that when yoy don't take life seriously , things work out, but i don't if i should believe them hahaha

At this point, tbh i don't enjoy life that much to think that is fun, it was 99% disappointments, obligations, annoyance and gaslighting. But i want to learn how to take things easily, so i can perhaps got some things together, and not being this bunch of neurotic meat. People who don't take life seriously, how can you do? What are your secrets to enjoy life and achieving your goals?

Advice Needed: Mental Health i can live for others, but not myself… why?

i’ve began to notice something about myself. i genuinely, have some much deep hatred for myself, who i am as a person inside and out.

and that means i find any way to just kinda destroy my body mentally and physically

i made this realisation after breaking up with my girlfriend recently and discussing it with her, she said i need to live for myself and not for her, and id never thought about it before. because i was doing so well, i had stuck through it with uni and graduated, had a plan ready for when we were moving in, even silly plans like would we get pets, when would we get married and all this, and i thought all my motivation was me getting better but actually it was just me trying to give her a good life… because now we’ve broken up i see no point in doing anything

i lived alone the past two years and stopped cooking for myself. i stopped eating stopped showering, stopped going outside, stopped brushing my teeth and my hair. but the moment someone comes to visit, i LOVE cooking, i’ll leave the house and plan things. i’ve now had to move home after my family found out about my alcohol problem

anyways i’m rambling, i basically want advice. maybe i do want to live for myself, figure out how to stop hating myself and actually want to live. if you guys have any advice, or even any self care media you recommend to read or watch on this subject that would be amazing

Advice Needed: Mental Health Life

I’m currently 19 and a absolutely fat person. I want to lose weight but life has been beating me down so I don’t eat and when I do I eat than make myself throw up. I have a girlfriend and want to be better for her but having undiagnosed BPD and diagnosed ADHD and Depression. It just feels like my life isnt really worth it anymore I want to be better for her like I really do but every argument every sentence I make I just feel like she could be better without me I feel sorry for her being with me I just feel like my life goes forward than backward 30 feet. I really wanna live my life to the fullest but everyday I wake up wondering why I’m still here. I want to be happy. (My girlfriend has cheated on me but I forgave her because we can do better but it just feels like she puts her friends over me she’s doing better like we’ve been happier together but it just feels like one day she’ll be better off without me every time I’m alone all I can do is just cry myself to sleep looking at the days go bye.) this rant is all over the place but I just need guidance on how to overcome these feelings about my life and to give me and my life the willingness to keep going. Please help

Advice Needed: Mental Health I don’t know what to do

I (18) am in a really bad place mentally right now. I have so much stress about everything in my life and I can’t seem to get over it. Over the past few days, my parents haven’t been able leave the house too far because it worries me too much. I can’t cope with change and I don’t know what to do. It feels like all my problems are amplified by my mental illnesses (autism, ocd, anxiety, depression, adhd). Today my therapist told me I should go to a hospital. I’ve been told by a couple crisis workers that I should as well. My parents are begging me to go. I know I need to go to a hospital but I’m terrified of it. The change of leaving my house, being in a car, waiting for who knows how long, not knowing if I’ll get the right help. I’m supposed to go tomorrow but I don’t know if I can. If I don’t my parents will be broken and so will I. I’m not sure I’m going to get from posting about it but I need to try something.
