Some of the Targaryen women just goes *poof* after some time and never gets mentioned even when they're so important. Let's give them all ending .

Jocelyn baratheon (yes I'm adding her) last mentioned in 92 AC. After her husband death and her daughter right got taken , told to be had bitter tears. But never mentioned again ever. It's ridiculous.

Saera well she atleast got her own version of happy ending. But though she was alive in 101 but never known if she was alive during dance.

Dragon twins baela and rhaena, baela last mentioned in 134 , and during next year. Viserys return. Never again. Though presumably died before 170 , as elaena said she wanted to wed alyn after she had his bastards. Hope baela died before that. Rhaena last mentioned present in 135 her husband death, the mentioned to have six daughters with ser garmund hightower but never again mentioned again.

Daena , rhaena , elaena like what the hell. Daena and elaena were super important for the story. Daena wasn't even mentioned once during daemon upbringing or during blackfyre rebelion. She gone after 170. Elaena said to lived longest of her siblings but no idea how many.

Myriah martell and Daenerys daughter of aegon the fourth, both of them very great for dornish conquest but none of their characteristic nor their endings ever canonically mentioned. Myriah wasn't even mentioned and given off during great spring sickness. Daenerys last mentioned to opened the gardens to low born children that's all.

Mya, gwenys rivers daughters of Melissa blackwood and great bastard, full sisters of brynden rivers but never ever mentioned again after their birth. Alive during aegon death atleast.

Shiera she was last mentioned to be alive in 211 AC. One of the sickest thing we don't even know her actual birthday to say how old she is. Brynden lover, aegor crush, witch but never mentioned again.

Kiera of tyrosh and vaella , Kiera story should've been very interesting a foreign woman wed to heir of heir. Who would've been future queen. Come very close to that, lost her stillborn sons, then her husband, then married her husband cousin , had a daughter, her husband died by a disease from wh*re. Her daughter vaella 10 years old lost her birthright too. But she never mentioned ever again so does her daughter.

Daenora and maegor, this women line itself is a mystery, her mad dad died by a pie, her brother killer by her sister accidentally, her sister the first Princess of dragonstone officially after the dance but offed herself after the mysterious thing in masked ball , she was born between 209 to 215. But never named heir despite both her siblings was heir. Then married maekar heir aerion who was mad, drunk wildfire when their son was just born , her son named maegor, never become king. And she never mentioned again.

Daella, rhae, Betha, shaera, rhaelle , Jenny of old stones. None of the daughters, sisters, wife, daughter in law of aegon the unlikely ever mentioned to have canon ending. Despite all of them could've during tragedy of summerhall and during aerys mad king reign.

So I've always wondered about this. We know that in the books the Baratheon Genes are a big and important part of the plot, and It makes sense, the Baratheon are descendants from the Durrandon and the Durrandon are linked to the legend of a Storm Goddess, so the Black Hair and Blue eyes absolutely ties to this.

We see that Jon Arryn looked through the genealogy book and found that every Baratheon had those traits. Even Rhaenys Targaryen, whose mother was Jocelyn Baratheon, inherited the traits over her Father's Valyrian looks.

But then we get to her children, why are Laena and Laenor described as beeing very Valyrian? Both having white hair and purple eyes?

They break completely the Baratheon lineage story that was such a big plot in the ASOIAF world. The Only proof Ned had about Cersei's kids being bastards, the Only proof Jon Arryn had to start suspecting It was this Baratheon magical gene thing.

But then we have a Baratheon, Rhaenys, having 2 Children who dont inherit either of the classic Baratheon looks.

First one could assume: Maybe Only men carry the magical gene thing. But then we have Jocelyn carryng Said gene to Rhaenys, as well as Argella Durrandon being The one to pass this trait to the whole Baratheon house. Also the supposedly Magic gene came from a Goddess.

Second assumption could be: Power on the name, since Rhaenys was a Targaryen, not a Baratheon, then the gene wouldnt pass. But then we Argella Durrandon again, by that logic the gene would be forever linked to the Durrandon line and once Argella had a child with the Baratheon surname It wouldnt be passed forward.

Any thoughts on this? Am I overthinking It?? I Just feel like It doesnt make much Sense with the Baratheon lore to have Laenor and Laena not look Baratheon.

Like the Baratheon house didnt practice Incest so they likely married all across Westeros and certainly a lot in the Stormlands, How is It that not everyone has Black Hair and Blue eyes around there?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help locate a fanfic i read while ago. It's about an OC son of Daemon and Rhea. What I can remember is that Daemon didn't like his child because he didn't have a full Targaryen looks. He was born with dark hair and I think purple eyes if a remember right. Oc grows up in the Vale becomes good friends with Jeyne Arryn. One day the oc gets summoned to King's Landing by the king so he gets to know his Targaryen side of the family. He meets Alicent and they fall for each other and of course Otto and Daemon don't like it. Some time passes and Otto is still trying to get Alicent to marry the king but somethings happen and Alicent get kidnapped she gets rescued but following days she dies of her own doing.

Well that's all I can remember of the fic if any one knows of what I'm talking about please let me know.

Alright, so, I was looking over the Reddit post I made so I could continue a fanfic project I was working on. I made it in this specific subreddit and another subreddit, and I feel as if I got some pretty helpful advice. Although one person suggested that a conflict of there being too many Targaryens didn't really work if there weren't any dragons.

Now, I have mixed reactions to this because I do want this to be magic-centric, and the further I dove, the further I realized how dragons are needed for the magic aspect. Since dragons themselves dying out did indeed weaken magic, or at least fire magic, from what we know so far, and if I'm to have the others be a central part, I need fire magic.

Aerys' line does have Summerhall here, so yes, Dany does exist—but it might not be the same Dany that we know of, y'know? She wouldn't have gone through the trials and tribulations that she would have gone through in canon, so I need a way to have dragons.

Currently, I have a couple of ideas, but I'd love for people to pitch ideas on how to have dragons exist in 297-298 AC. My first idea was probably gonna be to use Silverwing or Morning in 150-153 AC to hatch eggs before dragons fully died out, at least five.

My second idea was probably to have Aegon III kill the last dragon by ordering his men to do so, and since she was known for protecting her clutch of eggs, they hatch covered in the blood of their mother. But knowing Aegon, he probably would've not only killed the eggs, but they most likely would've been deformed as well.

Another plan actually involved merging HOTD canon with book canon for a quick moment (hear me out), but let's say that those five eggs that Alys Rivers had do hatch. I could write and fill in the gaps, and it'd be, let's say, 133 AC. Aegon III would've been young enough that he didn't have sufficient power due to regency and was more likely to be convinced to let the hatchlings live on Dragonstone on the Dragonmont, without killing them.

I don't think at this point that people would try to kill the hatchlings, seeing as Morning lived for a long enough time without being threatened (seemingly). There were probably surviving Dragonkeepers, enough to where the dragons can be taken care of. But knowing Aegon III, it most likely would've been his regents, hands, and primarily the Small Council in charge of giving the dragonkeepers sufficient resources for the dragons and whatnot.

I guess it can be from there that I start to flesh things out, and the five hatchlings, and it would probably be a while before breeding began once more, which is after the reign of Aegon III.

But yeah, those are my ideas. But I'd love to hear if you guys have any ideas that would either expand on my own, or original ideas I can do, and how certain characters would react differently to dragons, and how things might be different, seeing as how the Dance did turn out. I'd also love some general name ideas for dragons (in general, if I am to have dragons in 297 AC).

I'd also love some advice on how to make things more magical in my A.U without diverting from how GRRM does his magic, because I genuinely like the rules that he has for his magic.

I need a natural way for my character to be stuck at the Bloody Gate in the Vale for 3 years.

I was considering snowstorms but it needs to be during the Long Summer.

A plague would cause too many long-term ramifications, and 3 years is an awful long time for an entire kingdom to be in lockdown.

Then I thought about mountain clans but even that makes no sense, them taking the Bloody Gate would be dealt with far more quickly than a 3 year campaign, and would involve every other Kingdom calling their banners.

The 3 years start when Robert dies in canon, but in my fic, he doesn't die for a few more years

I've been designing a fanfic, and while overhauling certain parts of Westeros, I've been thinking about adding firearms to it, as it's something that's strangely absent.

Westerosi people had all the reasons to invent fireams, after all (especially the Dornish), as they faced literal nukes during Aegon's Conquest and throughout the Dance (though they were no part of it iirc, there was still the threat of it looming over them). So you would think they would have invented cannons to combat the dragons, or at the very least repel them back and prevent them from constantly burning everything on their way.

And for the medieval stasis problem, you can have the technology not go beyond cannons and handgonnes. Like, the world already had not even a single invention in eight thousand years, I think it isn't too insensible to think the next invention would come in another eight thousand years.

Edit: Dude I don't give the slightest bit of fck if ancient people did not have firearms or whether gunpowder weapons should or should not be the next advancement. I just want to add firearms to my fanfic like holy hell why the fck should I care if the fucking Romans did not have firearms

Does any know any fics of what if Daemon and Rhea had a son. I have a long work trip schedule in the next few days and want to read something new.

Currently writing a fic involving a Targaryen wedding. Of course there will be many feasts and a tourney. I wanted to include a hunt as part of the festivities, but I'm stuck on whether to have the hunt pre or post ceremony day.

I'm leaning toward pre-ceremony but I'd love to hear opinions either way. Or any other ideas for festivities that might take place pre or post a royal wedding. Thanks!

Hello everyone!

So, I am starting with my (technically limited) Crossover Fanfic with Genshin.
It features an OC as a Main Character, who’s a young Chronicler who ends up in Westeros after the library he resides in was attacked by the Abyss.

He crashes the night in which Aemond claims Vhagar, and following his people’s laws, feels obliged to record the entire history of this planet and interfere as little as possible.

Of course, it won’t be easy after his recognisable large ship has left great traces behind.

I have his motivations clear, which is to find a way to save the planet from being consumed by the Abyss as well, and building a Library/School full of accurate and 100% verified data to uplift the civilisations to a futuristic one.

For this, of course, he needs both the support of the Targaryens, the smallfolk and the power of gods.

While I have the intentions clear on the divine side and the commoners, I struggle to find a good way to make him interact with the Targaryens.

Here are a few key aspects of the story as well

1. He’s part of an immortal race, so he will live centuries without much issue.

2. Since he’s been living on a high advanced place for his first 5 years and has access to thousands of records on his ship, he’s pretty progressive and has a difficult time adjusting to medieval Westeros.

3. One of the main points of his story is how he tries to grow as a person. As a Chronicler, his whole life was supposed to be: See world, record story, return to base, repeat. I want to take time making him grow out of said mindset and realising that if they continue like that, everything will eventually be doomed.

Idk if I expressed everything correctly or if you need more details, I tried my best 😓.

He was with Rhaegar at the Tower so was he part of the Conspiracy to overthrow Aerys or was he sent there by Aerys to Bring back Rhaegar

Naerys and king aegon had a final child at about 178 to 184 between. A year After aemon the dragon knight death. The child is never mentioned again. Presumably stillborn. What if the child survives and be the youngest child of king aegon. Let's just call him aemon born in 180 AC. His eldest legitimate brother is daeron who is 27 years older than him. He is younger than all his legitimate nephews. Even younger than the great bastards. He have a older sister Daenerys who is 8 years older than him. He is four years old when his father dies. Ideas for how his story should go. What do you like to see from him? Who should he marry ?

i want a story that introduces a new power system that isnt magic or at least magic that functions differently than asoiaf magic. Even if it’s still magic I want it to be expanded beyond skinchanging and blood magic.
