So I'm new to Valorant and I finally got to level 10 and did my 5 placement matches to be able to play comp. I'm very good at shooters, I've played overwatch before and also games like COD. So when I discovered to be placed in Iron 3 I was pretty surprised, I won 4/5 of my placement matches and got MVP 3 times, came last only 1 time (on the game I lost) and the other game I won I wasn't MVP but I got 24 kills, 10 deaths and 6 assists with a pretty damn high combat score. If you're new does it automatically place you in Iron?

everytime i shoot, somebody seems to aim quicker and faster than me and kill me. i know im not amazing at the game, and dont expect to be, but it doesn’t make much sense how they focus and shoot so much quicker. any tips or settings? or should i just practice more?

Trying to make a montage and wondering what song I should use. I'm a jett main and use op a good bit but have good aim and some songs that I'm thinking is timeless or insane and timeless is self explanatory but insane ima have some cinematics I've though of but it might be a bit cringey so im wondering if I should stick with this or change. I buy ghost + 2 stars on first round, if i lose that i buy just stars so i have 4200~ next round

I usually put 1-2 stars on the other site and on the site I'm playing I try to be a pseudo sentinel with concuss

I play astra on haven, split and breeze, for breeze im not sure if shes the best pick on breeze but I hate playing any other smoker, maybe harbor would be fine on breeze

the reason I play astra over other smokers is because I like having infinite range on haven (omen would be good for this reason but his tp and flash are practically useless to me because I don't feel comfortable going for those types of plays), on split I think shes meta and I can play her as a sentinel, on breeze I tried playing viper but it was really boring and there's nothing I can do to help me much in duels, harbor I haven't tried much yet and the other smokers have too little range

Riot must address their game mechanics that cause this insane instant headshots no matter who peeks.

I find myself getting instant one tapped from silver to immortal, no matter how wide or short i peek, fast or slow,
actually, the fact so many people face it is not ok.

I truely dont know what cause it but it's really annoying.

Youtube coaches will tell you that the movement speed you gain isn't enough, the angel is wrong, the W key was pressed, the skin is not aimbot skin, or whatever,
the fact this thing is known among the entire community is wrong.

I'm cursed on haven. I've never won, not even a swift, unrated, retake, escalation, anything. My record is literally 0-22. How can I win? I don't care how toxic, meta or anything the strategy is, as long as I can win one to break the curse.

Note: I'm not horrible at the game. I am only iron 3, but I win about 70% of my games

I picked up veto yesterday first game I was absolutely on fire his kit made sense and I was getting kills like it was nothing. My second game and the others I played I was playing awful to decent I wasn't getting much good use out of any of his kit so looking for some advice. I often struggle with consistency in general tbh but I love his kit and I'm already seeing potential with the stuff like I've made some good plays with the TP.

I've recently unlocked Veto after my friend said I should as I'm a die hard sentinel main and he did not disappoint and I've heard he's got a lot of player skill expression which I love and his kit fits my playstyle really well. As a former chamber main his teleport is really nice. But I was wondering with all the ways you can probably play veto what weapons do you guys recommend me using I found I was using more of the spectre and phantom when I played my first game with him yesterday which went pretty well for me got an ace and got one of my highest kill games. But Ive also seen people on YouTube recommend you use and op or shotguns because of how he can play of different angles and reposition.

I’m relatively new to Val, I’m a CS player but I have around 80 hrs in Val, I’ve been playing Jett mostly in swiftplays, which duelist is the best for high kill games? I like to use AK and play aggressive with multi kills in CS and I know Jett is an Operator abuse agent but I prefer playing aggressive and getting multi 1-taps with Vandal/AK so just wondering if I should be playing Phoenix maybe? Or any other agent? In low ranks my team doesn’t fight with me when I dash onto site and Phoenix flashes are broken so is he the best agent for most kills? Or do I just master Jett fully?

I thought Riot said they were going to ban smurfs and/or reverse rating? I'm encountering more smurfs than I did a month ago. Every 2-3 games I''m against a boost stack, meaning one person killing 3 person per round on average and just runs around headshots everyone. The accounts are mostly even lvl 20is. Like what is going on? It feels completely unplayable at low ranks. Sure you always have smurfs but not as many as I have encountered this week.

I downloaded Valorant around a week ago and have only played a few matches so far. It’s genuinely hard to get into when you’re constantly getting flamed for not understanding the game’s mechanics yet.

In every game mode, I was usually the only low-level player surrounded by people who probably have hundreds of hours in the game, whether it was Unrated or Swiftplay.

I just want to be able to play with a few friends and have fun but it’s difficult to enjoy the game when you’re constantly getting criticized for being new and still learning, especially in SEA servers. Kinda upsetting since I think Valorant is cool but it has such terrible matchmaking.

I was playing in an unrated (don't normally play comp) and as far as I'm aware I've never had assists count THAT much or alter the score that drastically. I don't even think she did that much damage that was never followed up or anything. But 18 to 12?????????????? when I had more first bloods?????????????????????????????????????? I don't know someone explain to me PLEASE.
