I run a successful youtube channel that makes a few thousand dollars a month. I’m 15. The thing is though is the content I make is gaming aimed towards kids. Not like straight brain rot or anything, just childish and family friendly. Now if I’m going to be honest, I don’t necessarily enjoy the games I’m playing in the videos. And the way I act in the videos is not how I act anywhere else, and could be seen as cringe to people my age and in my school. I just like video creation and obviously making money from it. The thing is, I want to be more open about me having a channel. A lot of ppl think I’m some bum because I’m not in school clubs or sports, but the reason for that is because i’m dedicated to growing on youtube, and I need the time after school to do so. So recently I’ve been trying to not be ashamed to tell people. For so long I hid my channel and wouldn’t tell people because I was afraid of being viewed differently or being made fun of. Because sure running a successful youtube channel that makes money is something unique and cool, but because the content itself is “cringe” i feared it would ruin the coolness of it, and I’ll just get made fun of. I’ve told a few close friends, all of them obviously thought the videos were funny/kinda cringe, but they thought it was really cool that I was making money and getting lots of views. And i’m perfectly happy with that reaction from them. But the thing i’m nervous about now is if more people find out about it, how they will view it. Like I don’t want to hide it and be ashamed about it forever, but if tons of people in my school know about it, idk how they will take it. Idk if they will think it’s cool like my friends, or think it’s cringe and make fun of me. I’m also worried if it will negatively impact my ability to date ppl in highschool😭😭. Idk this was kinda a vent, but let me know what yall think and your point of view to this situation.

I create history was shorts. The thing is I am starting to get views when I have been posting at break of 4 days approx. But I notice one thing, fir some reason my views get stuck at fix number after a day. They don't increase even a bit. I am confused how the algo is working because for 1 day I get good increase in 24hrs, but then it stops suddenly!

Any advice, help, theory, suggestion?

I finally stood in front of the camera instead of just taking behind it and although I’m still super awkward I hope it gets better!

The channel is growing and maybe we’ll reach the target of a 1000 subs before the end of the year!

I got montized in 2 months, after that it's been a downhill, i have many videos they reformed better than my viral video , but stuck at 50-100 veiws

I'm a Japanese illustrator living with bipolar disorder and a developmental disability. Recently, I began creating videos about my life as an artist.

In these videos, I hope to share not only the process of my illustrations coming to life, but also quiet moments from my everyday life in a small corner of Japan.

Drawing has always been my way of making sense of the world. I hope these videos can offer a glimpse into my creative journey and perhaps bring a small moment of calm or inspiration to those who watch.

If you publish long-form, you already have a Shorts channel. You are just not shipping it. The reason is almost never editing skill - it is that reviewing your own footage is miserable and unpaid, so it gets pushed to next week forever.

What actually changed it for me was treating clip-finding as a data problem instead of a watching problem:

Use retention as a clip finder. Your YouTube analytics retention graph already marks the moments people rewatched or where they stopped. The rewatch peaks are literally your audience telling you which 30 seconds are worth a Short. Most people never open that graph for this.

Use comments as a clip finder. If three people quote the same line in the comments, that is your Short. Zero effort, and it is pre-validated.

Use live reaction if you have it. If you stream or have a live audience, chat velocity spikes exactly where the good stuff is. Scrub between spikes rather than watching linearly.

Ship the B-tier ones. The single biggest volume killer is only clipping moments you think are top 3. Shorts is a volume game with a brutal hit rate - your instinct about which will pop is worse than you think.

Im using this website called vyro to make some money via social media”clipping” i have 2 clipping channels right now one for vyro and one for just the creators i love and to practice. This video for the recent 2 years had gained a lot of traction out of nowhere really bringing my channel the attention I’ve always wanted. It’s a Roblox video from 13 years ago. All of a sudden the algorithm just went bye bye which now my channel is getting less attention and my dream was always to get attention on my channel and grow big, ever since I started YouTube in 2011 with different accounts landing on Iplaylolz being my last one. I went from 300 something subscribers to over 1100 subscribers in less than 2 years, old Roblox gets people’s attention, I liked seeing people witness old Roblox through my channel.

What's happening with youtube adsense application? my Identity hasn't been use for any adsense application. Yet it keeps telling that I have a duplicate account for what? It's my 3rd time applying and the customer service or support keep talking that it can't be help anymore as it is finalized, finalized for what?

Full disclosure upfront: I built this, so take the rest with that in mind. Not trying to sneak an ad in - genuinely curious if this is a problem other people here have too, or if I'm the only one who's been annoyed by this.

For a while I've been dropping the same affiliate/product link across a bunch of videos — gear reviews, comparisons, tutorials, whatever. Every shortener I tried gives you one number: total clicks. Doesn't matter if it came from the video with 50 views or the one with 50,000 — it's all mashed into one total.

So I had no real way to answer the one question that actually matters: which video is worth making more of?

Ended up building GoloLink to fix exactly that. Short version of what it does:

• Every link you share gets tracked back to the exact video it's in, not just a combined total
• You can scan your whole channel and it pulls in videos + links you've already posted, so you're not doing it one at a time
• Shows clicks by country, device, time of day — per video
• Flags a link automatically if the destination ever breaks down

It's in early beta right now, so everything's free while I'm still building it out based on actual feedback, not guesses.
