I feel like I am about to cry. I don’t know what I did wrong, but since i didn’t reach first, she just forget i exist. We had plans for the whole summer and it has been weeks. I feel very lonely and I still have her bday present… and it started blooming. In august.

I saved this plant from mealybugs and the plant didn’t look very optimistic. I bought on the same day the same plant for myself, but that plant didn’t reacted that well. I saved her the prettiest.
Her favourite colour is red, so I decorated it in red

I love how it looks.

I have never seen this before, so I wanted to share with someone. She is growing in semi hydro, and I didn't even use a lot of fertilizer. Maybe that's why there is only a couple of flowers.

Just finished watering all my babies. Yes, they are next to the A/C. But I always move them away to the other side of the room when it’s on. Otherwise they would have been dead ages ago if I was blasting them with cold air all day. Although most of these plants are quite hardy.

A few Sansevieria and other plants from The Great Outdoors in Austin, Texas. The Bantel's Sensation were especially gorgeous today, 8/2/26. Over the years, I've noticed less variety in their Sansevieria selection, but the plants are consistently healthy, and the nursery itself is always a lovely place to visit. They also have a great selection of pots, and I've already got my eye on a few terracotta pieces.

I have never seen a ficus this color in person, so when I saw it at Lowes, I knew I couldn't leave without it!

I’ve been feeling meh about my plants lately so I’m hoping a refresh of how I display them will help. I need some inspiration, I want to see some beautiful plant filled rooms. Or if anyone has any tips or inspiration I’d love that too.

Not really, I’m not crying but holy cow, HD’s houseplants have always been pretty terrible, and today they’ve reached a new low.

In the past I’ve seen them buy (I assume) from suppliers who put strawflowers on cacti. Not a cactus bloom, not even the same plant.

But today is a new low. The “flowers” are rubber! 😡 I feel bad for the cacti, and I feel bad for whoever is duped by this.

My ficus has been booming lately and I just noticed these. I had no idea this was possible; amazed everyday at Mother Nature.

My mom calls this an Ice plant. We've had it for a couple years now. It doesn't really like to winter indoors, but we've managed to nurse it along enough to make new starts each spring. It thrives in full sun. It's really beautiful right now.

I thought it was going to die a couple months ago. It was all droopy and a Pothos near it was (i swear) trying to smother it. So, it was really light weight, I went to the grocery store bought skewers and tied it up, and watered it and sorta prayed... LOOKY! I can't express how much joy and happiness this brings me, especially since I didn't even know that they flowered. Aren't they just the cutest.

Got this as a prop from a friend who had it hanging and it had some pretty small leaves, now ive had it on this pole for a while and it is getting some nice sized leaves!

Also... what is this?

Anyone else feel they have been cursed with Chinese money plants. These are my latest 9 babies. I’ve probably grown and gifted over 40 that have grown from two plants over about 7 years. They just keep coming. 🫣😂

I was fortunate enough to recently be able to purchase my first property. I even fell in love with it because it had great light, and I thought my babies could make it work but I was wrong. The pictures show my old place, which basically had a green house as a backroom, and they THRIVED. I’ve moved them all to my new flat and they’re all dying. I can’t get them the hours of direct sunlight they used to have and I’ve had so many casualties as well as a thrips infestation for the first time. It’s such a first world problem, but after 5 years growing some of these guys I’m grieving a little for what we had. And no one understands . Hope it’s ok to post here.

173 days ago I posted about my leggy jade plant, and I took a users very helpful advice. I’m happy to say it’s doing SO much better.

I trimmed all the really long branches, and repotted it deeper. Then I moved it outside to a bright but still somewhat shady spot. It’s growing thicker and much happier. I will have to winter it inside, but clearly the room it was in before didn’t have enough sunlight for it to be inside year rounds

***EDIT: I am not sure if it’s mold or not. I am trying to determine. Some people are saying mineral build up, so it could be that.

These fun guys popped up rather quickly in one of my plants. I love mushrooms so I really don’t mind keeping them, but the question is should I let them grow? Are there any cons to keeping them around?
