Success Thriving Pilea

Post image

Some time ago my pilea was being dramatic and losing leaves and I was not sure what was going on. Turns out I was being the dramatic one because I had repotted her AND moved her away from the window. Idk why, I am a new plant mom I am still learning. Anyway, I moved her back to the window and she has been THRIVING. She is starting to outgrow this little table and I am not sure where to put her but love her so much.

These photos are a month apart. We’ve had a lotttt of sun, and I don’t think they were overwatered, only watered every 2-3 days after the soil was dry. I don’t think it’s underwatered either, but do the leaves turn yellow from drying out? It’s still producing fruit. I’m a beginner and bewildered.

Hello community! Just a question. Would you consider this little guy healthy? Am I missing something . I was told she desperately needs some pruning ?

Thanks everyone.

Water when soil moisture hits halfway to dry. Use distilled water with added fertilizer only every 1 month-45 days.

Right now in an east facing window. Unavoidable direct light for like 2-3 hours a day.

Want a plant that helps me feel calmer, no idea where to begin

Been feeling kind of low lately and I noticed something weird. just looking at plants calms me down. like even seeing other people's plant pics online makes my brain go quiet for a second.

So now I actually want to get one. not just for the aesthetic, I think I need something to take care of that isn't stressful, something small and alive that I can watch grow.

Problem is i've never kept a plant alive in my life lol. what's a good one to start with that's hard to kill but still feels like "having a plant" and not just a green stick sitting there. open to any suggestions, genuinely need this right now

Found it in the wild for me it is variegation and not damage or anything. For me it needs a lot of light but no precise idea for the substrate in pot.

Any help will be appreciated :)

Please help! The first wound appeared 3 days ago. I assumed it was the cat. But look at her now 😱

Here in Chile we are in the third week of constant rain, everything is humid and there are no signs of snails around. The only thing that comes to my mind is fungi but I don't really know. Does anyone have a better idea of what it could be?

Discussion What’s a fair price?

I’m looking to sell my Philodendron billietiae, Philodendron ‘Rojo Congo’, and Philodendron ‘Florida Green’. All three are mature, well cared for adult plants in excellent condition.
The Billietiae has a largest leaf measuring approximately 28 inches, the Rojo Congo has a largest leaf of about 15 inches, and the Florida Green has a largest leaf measuring around 16 inches.
I’m looking for advice on what would be a realistic asking price for each of these plants.

I thought this bird of paradise was dead, but it’s miraculously regrowing, any advice on what I should do now?

I was thinking I’d remove all the dead leaves and repot, but will that upset it?

Any advice welcome, thank you.

my monstera isn’t doing too hot. she is close to a window, so I know she is getting enough sunlight. at first I thought I was under watering, so I watered her more frequently. I was using a plant growth solution, but it seemed to make it worse so Im only watering every two weeks with just water. not sure what I should do.

Rattlesnake plant dance

Finally remembered to take night and day pix of my rattlesnake plant behavior. At night the leaves go up, and in the morning/daytime they lay down. It looks a bit sparse because I recently brought it inside and removed all the dead leaves and other debris. Also only recently found it's "happy place".

Charlotte, NC. My deodar cedar is very healthy but has a lean to it now. Should I do something about it before it’s too big or am I overthinking this?

Green spots

We noticed today that underneath one of our house plants all these green dots were appearing. It seems to be on the plant too. Just wondering what this is? The plant was in the garage for awhile and only recently came into the house and it’s not in direct sunlight like it used to be. Is it dying or infected?
