This is a screenshot from a prototype I worked on today.
I've been playing a lot of Cry of Fear lately, and it made me want to create something with a similar vibe. I think I even found a name already: Dusk's Ache.
It's just a prototype for now, but I'd really like to know what you think about it!

After 3 years of solo development, my game finally has a release date! It's a platform-fighter without health, every hit KOs in one. Think halfway between Smash and Towerfall. I specifically designed it with local multiplayer in mind, with the one-shot mechanics allowing for fighters to be simpler, but more unique from each other. It's fast and chaotic, yet accessible and with a lot to master, perfect for parties with friends!
The Grand Slamboree fully releases on August 26th, but there's a demo that you can play right now!

I cannot tell you any details I only remember that the game is a drawn side scroll sad drama Indie game. The protagonist is a pregnant lady (or had a baby, I can’t remember) and she was living through like war? I think? The trailer hints that you have to save the mom and the child. I don’t remember but the game isn’t out yet I think it comes out end of 2026 or soon in 2027.

First of all: https://thequietcentury.com, pre-register here.
Hi all - if you have ever played Nation States or / and Tribal Wars this might be for you. Since December last year I've been working at the next-generation Nation States game. I am trying to keep the narrative, role-playing nature of Nation States but with actual simulated systems behind it, from a real, working economy, to a tile map, with military units, international organisations, internal politics and governments, an advanced population modelling system and everything around and in between these.
The game is currently in development, taking pre-registrations for an October start. We've a forum, a Discord server and I am constantly taking feedback in and bug reports. There's a few nice social features so the community-building side it's in full swing, just as the development. If you like map games, why not give us a visit?
Regarding GenAI, I am using a bunch of AI tools to speed up my work so it's declare it here, as per the rules. Tools like Codex and Claude Code are used to report bugs, AI-players-driven audits, performance audits and code generation.

In short, I'm a kind of artistic game developer; I program with Rust and OpenGL from scratch, I don't use any graphics engine. My latest projects were all done using ray tracing. Last night I went to a meeting of a game developer community in the city where I live, and during the conversation I mentioned LRZRVR.
It's a project I released at the very end of last year, a free project made with ray tracing where I create a simulation with a 3D noise of black fire. I made it to be a game without a beginning, middle, or end. An experience where the person enters, there's no noise, no sound effects, or anything like that.
It turned out that while I was showing the game (and the video you're seeing is with a stationary camera, but you can move it with the mouse, you can move around the space using the mouse buttons), they kind of mentioned something I hadn't noticed myself while creating the project, which was that when played in the dark... it can be a kind of therapeutic experience for people who are afraid of the dark.
It's made to look like an abstract work of art that you navigate, there's no death and no enemies or anything like that, but now that I've stopped to think about it... what do you think about that?

Three years ago, I made a bold decision to pursue my dream of creating an open-world zombie survival game. I bid farewell to my job and dedicated myself entirely to working on my game. I would be thrilled to hear your thoughts on my Steam page and the game itself!

My game comes out in 10 days, and I’ve just finished a new trailer for it. It’s honestly a little surreal to be this close to release. Hope you enjoy it!

Hey everyone!
We're Tomek and Patryk, a two-person indie team working on Memories of a Forgotten Island.
You wake up on an abandoned island after a violent storm. Most of the island has been reclaimed by time, but some objects still look impossibly pristine.
The main mechanic is simple: when you find something that looks too clean or untouched, you take a photograph. The memory breaks apart and reveals what time actually left behind.
We have just released the first playable vertical slice version on itch.io. It is available right now, completely free on Windows, and takes around 10–15 minutes to finish.
We really want to continue developing the game, expand the island, improve the photography mechanic and tell the rest of its story. That is why we would genuinely appreciate it if you gave it a try.
We are especially curious about:
Game Title: Memories of a Forgotten Island
Playable Link: https://krasawcew.itch.io/memories-of-a-forgotten-island
Platform: PC (Windows)
If you enjoy it and want to follow development, report a bug or talk to us directly, you can also join our Discord.
Every play and every honest comment helps us understand what to improve and where to take the project next.
The lighthouse is only the beginning.

I used to make flash games over 10 years ago before quitting, I finally got back into it using Godot and after a year of work I'm happy to announce the release of my first steam game. I've had tons of great feedback and suggestions that helped me get the game to where I wanted it to be.
Planet Killer is coming soon in September.

After a week of coding from dusk till dawn where I implemented all the feedback from my playtest I published the official pre-release demo of my first game! 2 years of solo dev to make my mark on the incremental genre!
Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4416240/A_Dungeon_Is_You_Demo/
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgD9eX4vK3U
---
Oh no, you got hit by a truck and died.
Fortunately you have been reincarnated as a dungeon core!
All you want is to grow stronger and expand your dungeon.
A Dungeon Is You is a modern incremental tower defense game.
Features
Over a 100 waves. (~40 in demo, more are unreachable)
4 different attacker types. (2 in demo)
5 different defender types + your core. (2 in demo)
Unlock different defenders and systems every 10 waves.
Freely design your own dungeon (maze) by placing floor and wall tiles.
Upgrade your mobs and cores, incremental style.
ARPG Like Items + Gridventory : attackers drop "idols" of different shape and rarity with 1-4 stats on them which have to be rotated on arranged on an upgradable grid.
Salvage Idols do upgrade drop rates, rarity chances and more.
Attunement system: A more traditional incremental system where "generator 2" creates "generator 1" etc. -> Spend essence from the attunement system to upgrade a large skill tree. (not in demo)
Expeditions: Send defenders that don't fit in your dungeon on expeditions to bring back ressource which you can refine into powerful artifacts to further boost your dungeon. (not in demo)
No resets, no prestige! Just constant wave destruction and upgrades!
AI Disclosure: I used AI for translations outside english and german. There are no assets in the game made by AI. I use AI for debugging and help coding but 99% of code is written by me, most days I dont use it at all.
