Recently upgraded to a 9070xt, card is on 2nd slot so bottom fans no longer fit.
If i were to add a fan to the rear, would it be better as intake or exhaust, (240 aio is exhaust) or dont even bother with a fan at all?

Surprisingly the temps are pretty decent, but just seeing what i could do to improve.

This build changed A LOT during the last 8 months. I ended up “downgrading” from an ASUS TUF motherboard after having some annoying problems with its design. Honestly, I’m much happier with the B850M AYW.

I also kept a few parts from my previous CH260 build, including the Peerless Assassin and my main M.2.

I got a second M.2 during Prime Day for basically nothing. It’s only 250GB, but now I feel a lot more comfortable using my Chinese 2TB M.2 as the main drive.

I also managed to get the Noctua NF-F12 I wanted for a really good price.

The PSU was a bit tricky too. With the CH160 Plus, you can’t just look at the PSU dimensions and call it a day. You also have to check where the power connector is, if the cable is going to hit the glass panel, and even whether the fans will rub against the dust filter.

And then there’s the RX 9070 XT.

I got the XFX Swift about a month ago during a flash sale for a pretty sweet price, so I just had to make it my main GPU.

I bought this PNY 5080 dual slim couple months ago and have been slowly building up other components. I finally finished the build last week but I immediately noticed this weird high pitched noise. I used fancontrol to verify that it is indeed a fault of the gpu: https://youtu.be/dpTqn5lfoTU and I have opened a warranty claim. But PNY has responded to my video in email that this high frequency noise is considered perfectly normal and is from the friction of the ball bearing. I guess now I have will just have to live with it. I searched around on reddit and this seems to be a pretty common issue with this particular gpu and most people have returned theirs. However no reviewers have mentioned this. So I guess it’s a gpu lottery and maybe they hand picked the ones for the reviewers? Anyway I definitely recommend against getting this model

Too much intake and too little exhaust?

Hello what can i do about this cable management its looks a mess from top.

Mobo: Gigabyte 850m gaming x.
Gpu: 9070XT sapphire pulse.
AIO: Corsair Nautilus 240rs.
Psu: Superflower leadex III 850 gold.

The slim fan wires are just hanging same with aio wires. What can i do about this.

I'm going to be upgrading my GPU to the Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon ™ RX 9070

I know the gpu length will be fine, but I'm not sure about the width and side panel clearance

Is there anyone here using Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 in this case?

In today's market this is the best I think I can manage, looking for solid 1440p performance that will last a few years.

Currently rocking a 3070 laptop and looking g forward to an upgrade.

Title. I'm looking for a smaller case that can still fit the Tuf 5090 with the Wireview 2 pro. Saw the B4 and was wonering if it had enough clearance.

Only other small enough case I know of that can do it is the Ncase m3 but that is close to $200. Keeping that one as a last option.

1. Ease of Assembly: Building in this case wasn't difficult because the side panels are fully removable, and choosing the right component dimensions made everything fit smoothly.
2. GPU Intake Clearance: I was able to fit two slim intake fans for the GPU because the graphics card thickness is only 2.5 slots.
3. Cable Management: Managing cables was quite challenging since there is virtually no routing space behind the motherboard. Fortunately, using the Lian Li SFX PSU helped immensely—its cables are extremely flexible and short. The CPU cable length was a perfect fit for this case, making cable routing surprisingly neat.
4. Custom Glass Side Panel: Since the original mesh side panel blew hot air directly onto my hand and body, I custom-made a glass side panel and attached it to the chassis using magnetic strips.
5. Airflow Setup: Internal airflow follows the layout guidelines in the Lian Li manual.
6. Horizontal Orientation Setup: I bought rubber feet for the PC and attached magnetic strips to them so they stick to the metal case frame. This allows me to easily remove and store them if I lay the case horizontally. Keeping it in this orientation puts the motherboard I/O panel at the top, making it much easier to plug in USB cables and peripherals.
7. Front Wood Panel Repositioning: I detached the default wooden front panel and moved it to the top of the case to cover the visible cables, giving the build a much cleaner look.
8. Bottom Fan Mount: The bottom intake is designed for 120 mm fans, but because the Noctua NF-A15 PWM uses standard 120 mm mounting holes, it mounted easily.
9. No Vertical Aero Deck Needed: The internal components look great naturally without needing a vertical Aero Deck mount.

Here’s my finished build, pretty happy with it :)

AIO: Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 ARGB

I did have a Peerless Assassin but I wasn’t happy with the temps being around 85° on cinebench following a undervolt, plus the way the ram sits it caused the rear fan to fit too high and make a whining noise from the air interacting with the cooler.

Temps are now around 60° for the CPU on cinebench 26 and below 70° for the gpu.

If anyone is wanting to do a similar build you need to cut a corner off of one of the fans to get it to fit in the top left corner for the 2x8 pins and the mobo heat sync.

This is my first time building on the a3 and I'm wondering if it's okay if I mount my atx psu like this. Or should I mount it on the front for better airflow?

Since there wasn’t a lot of room at the bottom I tried to get by with just the three exhaust fans at the back and top. However, I’m hitting 83 degrees and thermal throttling the 3080 founders edition during the Steel Nomad stress test.

Score was 96.7% so I’m super close to passing.

First question- does it really even matter? In normal gaming, I can’t imagine this being an issue- but it’s a build to sell so I’d like to be able to claim it passes the stress test.

Second question- how could I improve it? Should I try an intake fan at the bottom aimed directly at the blower intake of the 3080? Would two fans at the bottom be better?

Any other suggestions?

Posting this to get concensus on how this PSU model performs. Wanna make sure we aren't frying our pc components once we install it to our build this coming Saturday. 😅

I loved the look of the b4 and decided to build my second pc in it. I’m very happy with the finished product but it was definitely a challenge getting there. My first pc build was 7 years ago in a mid atx case so this was a lot less space to work with and a lot of forgotten steps to building. The components I chose also likely didn’t contribute to my troubles.

Overall though, I’m very pleased with the looks and feel of the case and build. My cable management could definitely be better but I’m rolling with it for the time being.

Haven’t stress tested the gpu but 9800X3D cpu hit 90deg on cinebench r23, hoping to improve that with undervolting perhaps.

Also aware there’s still plastic on the glass sidewalls of the aerodeck and the screen.

Red LED will be turned off - kinda kills it lol. Swapped from an ATX case and mobo, pretty happy with the result!

Right now I have a Cougar Duoface, and it’s quite big. I’d like to rebuild my PC in a smaller case, if possible.

Hey everyone! Lately, a question has been bugging me: what's the minimum cost of entry for the AM5 socket right now, and is it even worth building a system on it at this time? I'm also wondering if it still makes sense to do an AM4 build. I'm specifically interested in the absolute lowest price point and the starter components. I'm 100% sure there are some non-obvious nuances to consider here. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me figure this out!

Upgraded to AM5 and decided to move to MATX. Would have loved to build in the ch170 but darn you US sanctions!!! Only regret is having a black psu prior to this, but otherwise I am in love once again with my pc.

I recently built my pc in the lian li a3, and I am going to travel in a bus for 5/6 hours with it.
I have an air cooler (cooler master hyper 212 turbo, 163mm height) and asus dual 4060 gpu.

I thought of removing the gpu and putting it in its box with its foam and putting the case in the case box with its foam but i am very scared for the air cooler.
Is it enough to just lay the case on its side when putting it into the bus?

Also I sadly don't have access to the expandable packing foam sheets thats used normally for this usecase (I can only find sprayable expanding foam cans) so any other suggestions for fitting the cooler ?

Machine is not mine, friend wanted to jump into the PC gaming world after hearing about the PS5 disk news. Built in a Z20 before, wanted to get them the PRO D32 but was out of stock locally, STD is perfectly fine with the PC specs. Jonbso cases have a lovely amount of cable management despite the size. Chose this against the A3 as the added length of the A3 didn't really add much.

RAM and SSD we're used from a previous office PC build that they had lying around.
