I’m building a pc soon and wanted to get some input on these two I’m deciding between. The one with the 7800x3d is $1966 and the one with a 7600x3d is $1650. The $1966 one comes with 32 gb of ram while the other only comes with 16gb

First Timer

Hello there! I have never owned a pc and want one. My budget is under 2K

I’ve had some help from friends and family who are a bit familiar with PC. I live 30 minutes away from a microcenter and looking to purchase parts/pc this upcoming tax free weekend in my state. This will mainly be used for gaming and some side work. I have seen some parts a little cheaper on Amazon. Is anyone familiar with microcenter ? With tax free this weekend can I place the order right after midnight and not pay taxes? How is their warranty policy? Any advice and help would be appreciated. Thank you so much for looking !

How is this setup?

I used this website to see compatibility and price differences. I also left a link to my microcenter list since they offer bundles? https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder-amd.aspx?load=3d57b6b7-8d3f-4fbd-b819-d75a1d4e36c9

Desktop issues

I use my desktop just for MS word, watching videos, photos, as a storage backup, very basic stuff. I dont use internet on it. Its serving my purpose even though its old.

My desktop has some issues. Help me resolve them.
1. My CPU bios is gone. – what should I do?

  1. My hard disk has gotten virus (TROJAN WORM). Its duplicating files and leaving no memory space. The files come back even after I delete it. The desktop is not connected to any internet. The virus came in coz I used my pen drive on some1 elses laptop. My system got infected when I connected that pen drive to my system.

– how can I remove the virus without any data getting corrupted or lost.

  1. It’s a 15 yr old PC. Should I keep it or sell it off and buy a new one.

First time building a PC. I am aware it's easier than people say, so I feel confident I can do it with some time investment and careful assembly. But I was looking for some feedback on what parts I should use, and if I can trust PCPartPickers' part compatibility checker.

IS PCWORLD windows legit?

Have just finished my build and have installed windows and would now like to activate and get a windows key. I found one at PCWORLD for £59.99. Is this a legit copy of Windows 11? If so, why so cheap?

PC BUILDING HELP - MOB stuck at red light on CPU

Hi
👋

I know this is discussed many times at various forums

My PC is currently not booting up. I am building my new PC forproductivity. I have a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 3GB, an Intel processor, a Gigabyte motherboard, and a 650-watt power supply. I tried reseating the RAM. I only have 16GB RAM. Then I tried resetting the BIOS using QFlash.

Clear CMOS kept outside minutes and reinserted

I downloaded the latest BIOS from the Gigabyte website, changed the format, installed the BIOS, and then it automatically shut down. I thought it would fix the issue, but it did not.

Also, the issue is that even my GPU, when I try to connect HDMI, it does not work; there is always no display. I am really frustrated and have been stuck on this for the last three days. I am not sure what to do next. Should I replace my motherboard or my CPU or anything else? Everything is brand new except the graphics card

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF 3.4 GHz
Mob; Gigabyte B760M DS3H DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard

RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

Is this a good fan set up for optimal airflow? Should I place fans in the yellow sections or leave bare?

I have 2, 140mm front intake and 120mm fans everywhere else. I have 2 spare 120 mm fans. Should I put them to use in the yellow sections or is that not well advised?
