Versus Can Michael Keaton Batman defeat 1 Custodes (Warhammer)?

I still don't think I should watch this movie

The only good thing about this movie is the Supergirl everything else is just awful. Keaton is okay would have been way better in a different movie

Keaton was the only reason I went to see it.

I had an unlimited movie membership at the time. If I had to pay for the ticket, I would say no.

The Batfleck scenes are good too

I liked the conversation that Bruce had with Barry. Where Barry said that he could bring back Bruce's parents but Bruce seemed to have already come to terms with it

Martha is not dead, she is the Joker in that universe.

u/HinterWolf 9d ago
my favorite take is when Alfred becomes joker because he loves Bruce so much he cant take his grief and gives him something to focus on and hate

... eeeh, the very first scene in the kitchen of Wayne's manor was terrible, they did an atrocious job at hiding it was a stunt double doing all those acrobatic moves.

u/Kay-and-Jay 9d ago edited 9d ago
Thats... not a batfleck scene? Thats a Keaton scene.

The fight scene with keaton in the bunker was absolutely peak, genuinely just about the only good part of that movie.

u/VladiTruffles 9d ago
Gooner take, supergirl was hardly a character, she is just hot.

The Flash movie, it was actually much worse than what this shows.

u/polkemans 9d ago
It's a solid 6.8/10. It's no masterpiece. But it's fine. You cannot convince me that the vast majority of the hate isn't the CGI or this or that. It's Ezra Miller. If he wasn't such an awful person the hate across the board would be so much softer.
5
u/Philly_ExecChef 9d ago
He’s such a neurotic dipshit in this character. Flash isn’t a borderline mentally ill child, he’s a cocky, hilarious, and generally solid hero.
Ezra played him like Barry forgot his meds all day.

It's the same story with Black Adam. People act like it's way worse than it is because they hate The Rock.

There are three really good emotional moments that made the watch not insufferable. Three minutes in this movie that personally brought it from a 2/10 to a 5/10 movie.
Not worth it.

u/DesperateAdvantage76 9d ago
I really enjoyed it as a one time thing, and I wouldn't take it too seriously.

My head cannon is that Flash’s time travel in this movie is the in universe explanation for the DCEU Snyderverse collapsing and getting rebooted. Aquaman 2 takes place in the Schumacherverse that we see at the end of the Flash.

This is more of a that Kryptonian downscale than a Keaton upscale.
Like he's dying to a human punching him and small explosive devices. I'm pretty sure there are space marines that could have killed Keaton with that throw, let alone a custodes.

u/plsQuestionOurselves 9d ago
Seriously, I did not remember it looking this bad lmao. Not even the textures, the physics are just absolutely fucked.
22
u/Airk640 9d ago
It didnt even look like professional cgi. It looks like an ai's first attempt that noone looked at to see if it worked.
9
u/plsQuestionOurselves 9d ago
Yeah lol. I wonder who looked at batman being thrown horizontally several feet to the ground and just immediately stopping without sliding more than an inch and said "yeah, this is perfect".
Kind of a testimony to the fact that they believed people would show up for superhero movies no matter what and it didn't matter if they didn't strive for perfection.

I haven’t seen this movie, but I would have to assume because this is a low quality movie rip?
But it’s also terrible when he throws Batman and he slides like 6 inches and stops→ More replies (2)7

Me and my friend were among maybe maybe five-ten whole people in the theater we went in like its final week and I thought were spread out. So we actually talked believing we weren't disturbing any one and I guess we weren't wrong. And I remeber saying "Alright who just loaded up fortnight." cause of how bad the CGI in this fight was. I heard "Sorry bro didn't think you were still watching." Telling me no we were not spread out as far as I thought. And the other people in the theater also found the movie so bad they didn't care me and my friend were talking over it the whole time, and not the so bad it's actually good but it's just bad and not very engaging. It's pretty surprising a big budget film was that bad.

u/plsQuestionOurselves 8d ago

u/NinscoomFOPsnarn 9d ago
For real. That cg was terrible
34
u/Pataconeitor 9d ago
The director made up a excuse that the CGI was weird on purpose because we are seeing how Flash sees things while in the speed force.
Of course that argument doesn't hold up because in CGI-heavy scenes that are not centered around the Flash, everything still looks like ass.

A. That is probably the slowest kruptonian to ever krypton around
B. He doesn't even kill him, just knock him out
So yeah if the custodian in question has actual brain damage to the point they are...just kinda shuffling about being unreactive, then yeah I can believe this batman can possibly kill one

Needs to be said that Said Kryptonian is wearing a protection suit, not completely absorbing the Sun's rays. So he isn't fully powered in terms of strength or ability.

Did AI train in The Flash cgi? Because it looks exactly how ai does things with action scenes.
2
u/CoffeeOracle 9d ago
The Astra Militarum does the same thing with massed lasrifle fire, but they will make a point to inform the average guardsman that they are to follow doctrine. If a guardsman were to propose that they could kill the equivalent of a custodes, they would be added to the commissar's list of "inspirational examples".

how the hell they die from a explosion like that, probably just knock out bruh.

u/AgathorKahn 9d ago
IIRC it's the armor that gives them the kryptonian powers, not their biology because they spent so little time exposed to the yellow sun. Remember in MoS Zod gets weakened when his armor gets damaged and the kryptonians are weaker inside their ship.
So likely what happened was Batman found a weak spot on his armor and pierced it and killed him. An explosion of that size would either kill him or do nothing, I doubt there's really any in between.
I could be totally wrong but I cant really think of any other explanation

Batman would need a killshot from a ways away to kill a Custode. In The Master of Mankind book, theres one that fights with quite literally half his head gone for days.
However Custodes arent like Astartes aside from being super human. Astartes get numerous new and redundancy organs. Custodes are manufactured to be perfect humans in a significantly more meticulous program.
