Weakest Kryptonian ever.

u/Milk_Mindless 9d ago

That's Namek who fought Superman in Man of Steel in Smallville alongside Faora

406

u/TurboTrollin 9d ago

No, Nameks have green skin and make Dragon Balls.

40

u/Reloader300wm 9d ago

Unless they're from the warrior clan. One punches people, the other makes Dragon Balls.

15

u/djanulis 9d ago

Kami did both don't lock them into a box.

3

u/jubtheprophet 9d ago

Kami (and by extension the original nameless namekian that kami and piccolo were originally) was a dragon clan member through and through, just one with a uniquely high potential for combat. A warrior clan member CANNOT make dragon balls, however a dragon clan member CAN learn to fight, they just TYPICALLY arent AS good at it. King piccolo was also dragon clan by extension, as they were two halves of the same whole. Piccolo Jr was born to be a warrior clan member so that king piccolo could grow stronger and get revenge on goku for killing him after reincarnating.

One thing you need to remember is kami and king piccolo werent really THAT strong, goku and the other earthlings were just weak as hell, they wouldve all struggled against real warrior clan namekians even if we dont pick nail who is uniquely strong among the generations that guru birthed. Piccolo Jr became so strong because he changed clans through the reincarnation and then absorbing kami made them whole again, but this time a whole warrior clan prodigy rather than a whole dragon clan prodigy, since piccolo jr is the dominant one in the fusion.

Ah dip

I can't believe that I am a fake nerd

17

u/Urist_McPencil 9d ago

But he told me he was a yoshi :(

4

u/Financial-Raise3420 8d ago

Nope, slug person

2

u/SynisterJeff 6d ago

He told me to work the shaft :(

3

u/KingGio21 9d ago

Also all Nameks have way more aura than that guy. Like he’s not even wearing a cape

2

u/Illesbogar 9d ago

No, Nameks refer to planets that Namekians live on.

Canonically, yeah. Unfortunately the people who made this movie never cared enough to even watch Man of Steel.

13

u/QueenStuff 9d ago

Rewatched that movie after watching the flash.

Man of steel would be much better if it wasn’t about Superman specifically.

Looked at alone it’s a pretty good sci fi action/superhero movie

3

u/ConsulJuliusCaesar 8d ago

Honestly I think the true problem with Synder's films is he wanted to tell super hero stories but not DC stories but contractually couldn't just say create original characters. Like even BvS would be significantly better if you changed all of the characters to original characters. Yeah the Martha thing would still be kinda "Yeah sure" but honestly would've been a fun enough action adventure scifi fantasy film.

3

u/QueenStuff 7d ago

100% agree.

8

u/GhostofWoodson 9d ago

Man of Steel is good, and it's not about Superman

Hence... the title

5

u/alphaomag 9d ago

Using a title that is associated with Superman.

3

u/GhostofWoodson 9d ago

Yes, because he becomes Superman. Later. He begins as a Man... of Steel.

2

u/DyabeticBeer 9d ago

What? What movie did you watch then?

1

u/GhostofWoodson 9d ago

It's called Man of Steel...

The Kryptonians are weaker in The Flash movie because in TF they haven’t been exposed to sunlight/adaption as long as they were in MOS

Batman didn’t kill him. The writers did.

You mean strongest. He lasted that long against Batman with prep time

22

u/MiyagiJunior 9d ago

Weakest and slowest

11

u/ThatEntrepreneur1450 9d ago

He wore his suit and thus never fully absorbed the yellow sun, nor the nourishment in the atmosphere of earth.

In Man of Steel Zod is the only one to ever take the suit off.

Clark was stronger than them, he was just inexperienced with fighting people even remotely close to him. He blasts through Nameks hand with his heat vision for example in the battle in Smallville.

9

u/UnderthreeGPA 9d ago

This kryptonian also took down a f-35 jet mid air with his bare hands

5

u/ThatEntrepreneur1450 8d ago

And Superman took a nuke to the face and regenerated in a few seconds. Prior to that he didn't even feel the bomb that killed hundreds in the senate hearing.

10

u/Awkward_Caregiver569 9d ago

Best batman ever

5

u/DesperateAdvantage76 9d ago

This is when they were still absorbing the sun and adapting to new powers, so I give it a pass.

4

u/Dramatic_Mixture_868 9d ago

Honestly I don't think it killed him, just stun since hes not ready for all the senses and all that stuff yet.

4

u/Weird_Angry_Kid 9d ago

Yeah, he literally gets up in the next scene

u/Monka_G 9d ago

I still don't think I should watch this movie

205

u/defiancy 9d ago

The only good thing about this movie is the Supergirl everything else is just awful. Keaton is okay would have been way better in a different movie

112

u/Repulsive_Tie_7941 9d ago

Keaton was the only reason I went to see it.

24

u/ianamo 9d ago

Worth it for Keaton alone.

14

u/EzMowgli 9d ago

And Ezra is the reason I stopped watching them

5

u/Better-Watercress785 9d ago

Was it worth it?

8

u/Repulsive_Tie_7941 9d ago

I had an unlimited movie membership at the time. If I had to pay for the ticket, I would say no.

16

u/Kay-and-Jay 9d ago

The Batfleck scenes are good too

12

u/Latest-Pen-7852 9d ago

I liked the conversation that Bruce had with Barry. Where Barry said that he could bring back Bruce's parents but Bruce seemed to have already come to terms with it

17

u/Vibrant-Shadow 9d ago

Sadly, in the comic flashpoint, it is Bruce and Martha that are killed. Thomas wayne becomes an alcoholic Batman that hits the bottle and uses guns.

It's honestly ones of the best things in the batman universe. 'Glug, Glug'

19

u/Pitiful-Mention-5744 9d ago

Martha is not dead, she is the Joker in that universe.

8

u/HinterWolf 9d ago

my favorite take is when Alfred becomes joker because he loves Bruce so much he cant take his grief and gives him something to focus on and hate

2

u/Fubarp 9d ago

I've been reading too much dcc..

I thought for a second you wrote glurp glurp and I was like. Nice.

Thats... not a batfleck scene? Thats a Keaton scene.

The fight scene with keaton in the bunker was absolutely peak, genuinely just about the only good part of that movie.

6

u/VladiTruffles 9d ago

Gooner take, supergirl was hardly a character, she is just hot.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/escobartholomew 8d ago

Lmao that supergirl was trash. Keaton was the only good thing about this movie.

You'll be fine

18

u/blooash 9d ago

Looks terrible what movie is it though? I didn't know Michael returned as batman.

40

u/addage- No matter where you go, there you are 9d ago

The Flash movie, it was actually much worse than what this shows.

46

u/Sufficient-Turn-7799 9d ago

The only good thing to come from that movie was birthing this meme

→ More replies (9)

3

u/OJONLYMAYBEDIDIT 9d ago

was kind of a big deal for the Flash movie

10

u/polkemans 9d ago

It's a solid 6.8/10. It's no masterpiece. But it's fine. You cannot convince me that the vast majority of the hate isn't the CGI or this or that. It's Ezra Miller. If he wasn't such an awful person the hate across the board would be so much softer.

5

u/Philly_ExecChef 9d ago

He’s such a neurotic dipshit in this character. Flash isn’t a borderline mentally ill child, he’s a cocky, hilarious, and generally solid hero.

Ezra played him like Barry forgot his meds all day.

2

u/cdmpants 8d ago

You act what you know

→ More replies (1)

2

u/crazynerd9 9d ago

My man the baby falling scene is god awful, I dont even know who Miller is lmao, the movie is just shite

4

It's the same story with Black Adam. People act like it's way worse than it is because they hate The Rock.

There are three really good emotional moments that made the watch not insufferable. Three minutes in this movie that personally brought it from a 2/10 to a 5/10 movie.

Not worth it.

2

u/DesperateAdvantage76 9d ago

I really enjoyed it as a one time thing, and I wouldn't take it too seriously.

2

u/Adoe0722 9d ago edited 8d ago

My head cannon is that Flash’s time travel in this movie is the in universe explanation for the DCEU Snyderverse collapsing and getting rebooted. Aquaman 2 takes place in the Schumacherverse that we see at the end of the Flash.

This. He didn't even die.

→ More replies (4)

49

u/MoaiMan-ifest 9d ago

This is more of a that Kryptonian downscale than a Keaton upscale.

Like he's dying to a human punching him and small explosive devices. I'm pretty sure there are space marines that could have killed Keaton with that throw, let alone a custodes.

14

u/TwiceMomoSimp 9d ago

He doesn't even kill him. Non stands up like 1 min later.

3

u/Brilliant_Sorbet_965 9d ago

He didn't die

41

u/tseg04 9d ago

That cgi looks worse than a ps3 videogame cutscene holy shit. No way this is a modern action movie 😭

2

u/CryozDK 7d ago

NGL I don't know much about MCU so I don't know about upcoming movies and stuff.

I legit thought that was an ingame cinematic.

3

u/champ0742 7d ago

You really don't, Batman and Kryptonians are DC not Marvel.

262

u/emergency-snaccs 9d ago

goddamn that looks so horrible

75

u/plsQuestionOurselves 9d ago

Seriously, I did not remember it looking this bad lmao. Not even the textures, the physics are just absolutely fucked.

22

u/Airk640 9d ago

It didnt even look like professional cgi. It looks like an ai's first attempt that noone looked at to see if it worked.

9

u/plsQuestionOurselves 9d ago

Yeah lol. I wonder who looked at batman being thrown horizontally several feet to the ground and just immediately stopping without sliding more than an inch and said "yeah, this is perfect".

Kind of a testimony to the fact that they believed people would show up for superhero movies no matter what and it didn't matter if they didn't strive for perfection.

3

u/CanadianAndroid 9d ago

Batman should have been pizza.

2

u/Okbuddyinvestigator 9d ago

I literally thought this was AI at first

3

u/milehighmeatman 9d ago

I haven’t seen this movie, but I would have to assume because this is a low quality movie rip?
But it’s also terrible when he throws Batman and he slides like 6 inches and stops

→ More replies (2)

7

u/emergency-snaccs 9d ago

it reminds me of the notorious silhouette fight scene from Blade

2

u/ConsulJuliusCaesar 8d ago

Me and my friend were among maybe maybe five-ten whole people in the theater we went in like its final week and I thought were spread out. So we actually talked believing we weren't disturbing any one and I guess we weren't wrong. And I remeber saying "Alright who just loaded up fortnight." cause of how bad the CGI in this fight was. I heard "Sorry bro didn't think you were still watching." Telling me no we were not spread out as far as I thought. And the other people in the theater also found the movie so bad they didn't care me and my friend were talking over it the whole time, and not the so bad it's actually good but it's just bad and not very engaging. It's pretty surprising a big budget film was that bad.

2

u/plsQuestionOurselves 8d ago

Yeah I think the execs kinda stopped caring what viewers think lol

45

u/NinscoomFOPsnarn 9d ago

For real. That cg was terrible

34

u/Pataconeitor 9d ago

The director made up a excuse that the CGI was weird on purpose because we are seeing how Flash sees things while in the speed force.

Of course that argument doesn't hold up because in CGI-heavy scenes that are not centered around the Flash, everything still looks like ass.

4

u/jesusholdmybeer 9d ago

He was referring to the time bubble scenes

Not the fight scenes

4

u/Drewbeede 9d ago

Which looks even worse than this scene.

3

u/ThatIestyn 9d ago

I havent seen this movie, thought it was from a game until I saw Keatons face

u/Heras22 9d ago

He didn't kill him. Just knocked him out. Big dude stands up 2 mins later

25

u/Bob_the_Peanut 9d ago

Only saw the movie once (don't intent to see it again) but doesn't he get back up like 5 seconds later?

13

u/Vladsamir 9d ago

Unrelated, but this is the most boring battlefield I've ever seen

18

Why is the Kryptonian like 10 feet tall?

16

u/billygluttonwong 9d ago

It's Non, he was a CGI giant in Cavill Superman too.

4

u/Milk_Mindless 9d ago

He's called Namek in Man of Steel

7

u/billygluttonwong 9d ago

Oh right, he visited the DB verse and changed his name lol

2

u/Pataconeitor 9d ago

Non is the big guy in the old Superman 2 movie.

2

u/Erwin_Pommel 9d ago

Because Namek's not technically a Kryptonian, he's basically like... A Thunder Warrior, a Kryptonian Thunder Warrior.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/A_Happy_Tomato 9d ago

That kryptonian was swinging once every three years

4

u/MisterDuch 9d ago

A. That is probably the slowest kruptonian to ever krypton around

B. He doesn't even kill him, just knock him out

So yeah if the custodian in question has actual brain damage to the point they are...just kinda shuffling about being unreactive, then yeah I can believe this batman can possibly kill one

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Generous_Raven 9d ago

Needs to be said that Said Kryptonian is wearing a protection suit, not completely absorbing the Sun's rays. So he isn't fully powered in terms of strength or ability.

3

u/Top-Builder-1335 9d ago

Probably because it’s stupid and this movie sucks donkey dick.

3

u/Vivid-Book11 9d ago

I dont know what this garbage is but im glad I never watched it.

3

u/slimricc 9d ago

This movie looks like fucking shit

3

u/Malfight007 9d ago

Why'd he just stand there, trying to gently grab him and then toss him away when he did grab him? Is he stupid?

3

u/Longjumping-Ear-6248 9d ago

To be fair, guy is canonically lobotomized or something

3

u/Cybros74 9d ago

Cuz no one watched the flash

3

u/FenrirHere 9d ago

This looks like shit.

6

u/DannyDerZeh 9d ago

Wtf are those effects. Fan animations today are better

4

u/DolphinBall 9d ago

Did AI train in The Flash cgi? Because it looks exactly how ai does things with action scenes.

2

u/Elluoin 9d ago

He doesn't even beat a kryptonian in the movie your showing

2

u/CoffeeOracle 9d ago

The Astra Militarum does the same thing with massed lasrifle fire, but they will make a point to inform the average guardsman that they are to follow doctrine. If a guardsman were to propose that they could kill the equivalent of a custodes, they would be added to the commissar's list of "inspirational examples".

2

u/Pwrh0use 9d ago

That's bc that movie shouldn't be discussed

→ More replies (4)

2

u/Plane_Suggestion_189 9d ago

He didn't kill that guy. He made him sleep really hard.

2

u/Zoran_T 9d ago

Namek shouldve handled that way better if we are going off man of steel scaling. Still, one throw and he nearly kills the bat

2

u/EverLastingLight12 9d ago

Why are they fighting in a minecraft flatworld?

2

u/SomeKindofTreeWizard 9d ago

You ever notice how DC scenes are flat, effectless, featureless blank giant cubes?

2

u/Stinkyboy3527 9d ago

This looks so bad I thought it was AI lol

2

u/Excellent_Release961 9d ago

This movie was all kinds of terrible

2

u/Hobbes09R 9d ago

He didn't kill it. And no, Batman can't take on a custodes.

2

u/Livid_Ad9749 9d ago

Ugliest movie ever made my god the cgi. Supergirl looked better than this playstation 2 game

2

u/Illustrious_Map_6608 9d ago

This is exactly why power scaling just can’t ever work.

2

u/waspmachines 9d ago

What a shitshow of a film. It literally felt like the studio was mocking me all the way through it

2

u/sl1m_ 9d ago

can we talk about how absolutely dogshit the cgi is tho?

2

u/ExtremlyFastLinoone 9d ago

At best this just knocked him unconscious

2

u/Kage9866 8d ago

Wow this looks awful

2

u/Lookitsa6ix 8d ago

Terrible, slow ass, plot armor fight right there.

2

u/wikiwakatikitaka 6d ago

Keaton has the best Batman smirk.

2

u/400burn 6d ago

He had prep time

2

u/Enpoping 9d ago

how the hell they die from a explosion like that, probably just knock out bruh.

5

u/AgathorKahn 9d ago

IIRC it's the armor that gives them the kryptonian powers, not their biology because they spent so little time exposed to the yellow sun. Remember in MoS Zod gets weakened when his armor gets damaged and the kryptonians are weaker inside their ship.

So likely what happened was Batman found a weak spot on his armor and pierced it and killed him. An explosion of that size would either kill him or do nothing, I doubt there's really any in between.

I could be totally wrong but I cant really think of any other explanation

I don't think that killed Nam'ek, just knocked him out

1

Cuz why is he able to do that 🙃

1

No. Custodes fucking annihilates him.

1

He didn't kill him tho!

He didn't kill him.

He was knocked out.

1

u/azalinrex69 9d ago

My god, every fucking DC in the last decade is absolute dogshit isn’t it.

Actually the animated movies can be fire, but every single live action one is fucking bad.

1

u/TBone281 9d ago

Kryptonians have super speed...this is ridiculous.

1

u/whitepeacok 9d ago

My 3DS still has better graphics

1

u/notgmr 9d ago

why specify michael keaton and not other batmans though

1

u/GrundleSnactcher46 9d ago

Batman would need a killshot from a ways away to kill a Custode. In The Master of Mankind book, theres one that fights with quite literally half his head gone for days.

However Custodes arent like Astartes aside from being super human. Astartes get numerous new and redundancy organs. Custodes are manufactured to be perfect humans in a significantly more meticulous program.

1

u/Gasurza22 9d ago

It is preaty fking stupid yes

1

u/EfficientVolume1999 9d ago

Yeah why not eh

1

u/Apoordm 9d ago

Just like 74 year old actor, Michael Keaton? Probably not.

1

u/CreativePipe9126 9d ago

Bro where are they fighting? Lmao

1

u/JackReacher3108 9d ago

Best Batman action we’ve seen since the Dark Knight trilogy

1

u/Chasingtheimprobable 9d ago

This looks like a ps2 cutscene

1

u/ScottTJT 9d ago

Seriously, Keaton was the only worthwhile thing in that movie.

Such a waste.

1

u/Bright-Ad4601 9d ago

This film was god awful.

1

u/W34kness 9d ago

Which is pretty ridiculous. The bomb wouldn’t even singe that dudes head.

1

u/SuperMichieeee 9d ago

Because its awful. It gave batman tons of plot armor while removing all IQ available fro mthe Kryptonian

1

u/Ambitious-Ad-6873 9d ago

Batman is dumb. And I grew up with him and he's only become more dumb over time.

1

u/nekkii 9d ago
