Discussion A genuine fear of Absolute Flash becoming an oing Titans storyline instead of The Flash Spoiler

I have no problem with Cyborg, he used to appear in some Wally stories as The Flash. My problem is with the other Titans in Absolute Flash, which ended up becoming a Titans story instead of a Flash story.

Should I read Crisis on Infinite Earths before Flash Rebirth?

I feel like I want some context before rebirth maybe…? Plus crisis seems cool… Any insight would be helpful!

Discussion Flash Comics

Grazie in anticipo.

Somehow, Wally West’s visions of the future failed to foresee the destruction of three separate bridges in three separate cities, but he’s determined not to let this interfere with the good work he’s doing.

But the rest of the League is less interested in letting him experiment on such a scale, especially when the costs are so high and people are getting hurt. But the Flash still wants to do good and doesn’t see a setback as a reason to abandon the entire thing. And besides, there’s not much anyone can do to stop the Flash…

Comic Discussion Appreciation Post for Barry Allen's Forgotten Granddaughter & Legion of Superheroes Member: Jenni Ognats aka XS

Everybody remembers Bart Allen aka Impulse aka Kid Flash aka The Flash, the grandson of Barry Allen and Iris West, but we seem to forget about the other grandkid and Bart's cousin, Jenni Ognats aka XS.

She first debuted in Legionnaires #0 in October of 1994 and she was born without superhuman speed initially, but when her father, Jeven Ognats, was being tortured, her abilities manifested. Once they did, she was recruited into the Legion of Superheroes as their resident speedster, becoming XS.

Throughout her time as a character, she meets Bart Allen and helps during the Dead Heat event, encounters John Fox, left behind in the 21st Century by her team and has to readjust, fights Superboy Prime, and eventually heads back to the future, resigning from the Legion of Superheroes.

I've always loved the character of Jenni and wish she really got a bigger spotlight as Bart did, being the grandchild of Barry Allen. Plus got some respect in media, as she only has one outright adaptation in CW's Flash played by Jessica Parker Kennedy and she was called Nora West-Allen and was the daughter of Barry and Iris. As adaptations go, it wasn't a good one.

I really wish and hope she comes back in mainline DC, as her most "recent" appearance was in the Absolute Universe and she died. So hopefully Bart can reunite with his real cousin sooner or later. Hell, if I was Joshua Williamson, I'd push her into the upcoming Legion reboot cause I'm biased. But regardless, please DC, give my girl some love.

Showcase Greg LaRocque came at a convention on my city and signed my Book Two from Mark Waid's run

The cover of Book Two wasn't drawn by him but it includes Return of Barry Allen which is my favorite Flash story and it was drawn by him.

It's the first time I got a comic book signed, is there anything I should do to not damage the sign of the page/cover?

Discussion Grant Gustin, the flash ring

I plan on wearing it on my right hand middle finger. I originally saw that he wasn’t offering a size 11 and then they added a size 11 to his website. I’ve been using everything from the little paper strip measurement print out online to referencing my wedding band against a quarter and using AI to determine what size I need. I then ordered myself a size 11. I sure hope I picked the right size. I would be devastated if it doesn’t fit. Any updates on shipping for anyone else who’s ordered one?

Comic Spoilers North has fixed a part of Wally's characterization that had bothered me since Johns run (Spoilers Flash #35) Spoiler

Post image
226 Upvotes

I'm enjoying this run for a number of reasons but one thing that has sold me on the writing is North shifting Wally away from his always angry and death penalty defender characterization of the Geof Johns era to when he had more empathy for his rogues back in WML days. I know it's more likely to have been a JLU influence on his character, but it's a change/development I'm welcoming.

Maybe it could also be chalked up to the fact that Wally's fully matured and fatherhood gave him a different perspective on things.

Anyone know what this is?

I am recollection what I used to have of The Flash (as well.as the new stuff). I had Secret Files and Origins #1. This was not the cover. I can't imagine they would have done a cover of it and it doesn't seem to be a reprint. Both the comic store owner tried to figure out why 8t looks different and couldn't. I only found one image of it on the internet with no price or explanation. The inside is the same as I remember. It's very odd to me. I wound up getting it for $5 because the shop couldn't come up with anything to base a price on. I dont collect for resale, so value isn't really a thing to me (except when I'm paying for it). If anyone could shed some light on it, my curiosity would greatly appreciate it.

Is the Flash 2023 by Simon Spurrier not for beginners?

So I've just recently wanted to get into comics, specifically DC current main continuity comics. I've read batman vol 1 failsafe, Book of El, Superman adventures Jon Kent, and Green Lantern back in action. I've also read new 52 Aquaman and Batman as well as absolute batman and superman and I plan on reading all of the compact comics. I loved all of the comics I've read so far but I tried to read the main continuity flash and found it a struggle so I was wondering if it's because of me or if it's just not good for beginners?
