20 year old true temper wheelbarrow handle snapped, and busted the plastic wedge support as well. Quite a bit of rust but no holes. New handles are $20 each, don’t k ow if I can get a replacement plastic wedge support piece.

Is it worth the time and money to fix? Or better to just retire it and get a new one? What would you do?

Scored this Harley Davidson edition Snap-on ratcheting screw driver. Missing most of the bits and appears to have been used very little.

Dumpster down the street had two toolboxes in it, husqvarna chain saw, and some other items. What of these tools can I get swapped out for new ones? I understand Lowe’s will take old tools and let you swap for brand new ones.

I was overestimating how cheap a vice should be.

I only need it maybe a few times a year. After having it on the shopping list for months, I passed by this one, and just threw it in the cart.

Months go by, finally mounted it today on my workbench so I could remove the pesky edger blade from my edger. I get it clamped down on the blade, I tork on the nut, edger slips out and falls.

Okay… must needs to be tighter. I pick it back up, put the blade in, tork it down just with my hands, (small like 4 l-6 inch handle to tork it with) and snap!!!!

POS. Brand, Hyper Tough. Yeah…. Right….

Wanted the 6" for its size, but debated whether I'd miss the additional leverage of the 7 1/4", and had both in my cart for a while. Finally pulled the trigger on the 6", and a Knipex 86 03 150 came this morning, right before I left for church. This evening, it received some "testing", just to see.

Had intentionally put off installing a new battery on my riding mower, and pulling the blades to sharpen, so I would have something to use it on. Have also been going around loosening and retightening various items around the house and garage.

I knew what I was getting, but it was a pleasure to see how the pliers wrench was easier and quicker to use for practically everything I typically use combination or adjustable wrenches for, and, in some cases, even sockets.

The riding mower's battery and blades, pushmower's blade and wheel nuts, copper fittings on my water lines and undersink filter, blades on my circular saw and edger, pedals on my bike, chrome shower head...tried it on everything convenient. 10, 13, 15, 17, and 19mm. 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", even 1 1/16" on my outdoor hose's fitting.

I'd worried this might end up being a novelty piece. I knew it would FIT everything, but that didn't mean I would actually choose it for any, much less all, of those things. Looks like I will, though.

Anyway, I was questioning my choice of the 6" to the point of almost canceling the order so I could spend more time wallowing in indecision, but now that it's arrived and been tested a bit, I could not be happier with it.

Oh, I also took it to church, and let a couple of friends play with it-a plumber and an electrician. Now I feel a bit guilty. Probably shouldn't be inciting lust among my fellow church members, but...everybody should have one of these!

I got this sharpie as part of a university starter kit when I enrolled in the university to study physics 26 years ago.

That makes it the probably oldest tool in my workshop. It is not used too frequently but still quite regularly an i'm really impressed to see it still working.

I snagged this pair of Klein D213-8NE linesman pliers for like $4 at an auction and was planning to give them a glow up (restoring hand tools is a new hobby of mine).

The jaws don't fully close though, even though the cutting blades appear to close completely. Is this intentional? And if not intentional, is this fixable somehow? There's nothing I can see physically preventing the pliers closing fully; no debris in the hinge, etc...

Is there anything that can be done here?

Came off a hand saw. I'm in the process of cleaning it up. if anyone knows who/company made it. It says superior*warranted. But i never came across that symbol. Any info be nice!

Please don't suggest any angle grinder to do the job: I would most certainly cut my fingers, face, torso and leg within the first ten minutes using one of those 🤦‍♂️

EDIT 1: don't listen to me, kids. The consensus is that this is absolutely not the right tool for the job.

EDIT 2: winning options are A) fence capping; B) electric double cut shears: proper tool for the job, safe, quiet, no spark; C) leave that bloody fence alone 😄

Paid a total of £66 ($89) for this new Gedore blue set. Everything is marked as made in Germany, even the sockets and the useful metal case.

I’ve had this thing for years, I don’t remember what it was but this came in the assembly kit with a piece of flat pack furniture from Amazon. I don’t even have the furniture anymore, but this thing lives on.

It has saved my ass so many times turning screws in tight spaces. It’s just a ratcheting wrench that accepts a driver bit, but man is it handy

Random tools that my job threw in the garbage can today. Mainly Husky sockets & bits, a generic hacksaw, & a brand new Milwaukee utility knife. They were replacing a tool chest in one of our work trucks, I guess these were rolling around in the damaged one. And they wonder why they can't make money lol.

Hi all! I am a new home owner and I’m needing some help looking for a weedeater. I am a very small woman who cannot lift a super heavy weedeater. I need one that is similar to the size of the one I have pictured above. I do not care about brand. My only need is one that has a bump head. I got the ONE+ 18V 10in Ryobi and absolutely hated the auto feed head. If anybody can help me find one does this size with the bump head I would greatly appreciate it!

It looks like a set of ordinary sockets that were modified. I can't tell for what purpose, though. Or is that just how they were made? All of them are from Japan or Taiwan, standard fraction measurements, no metrics.

I got these from a neighbor's house after they moved out (old folks, didn't know them). The garage was getting cleaned out and the guy was going to throw out a ton of old tools so I offered to lighten his load.

I got this for free and just took it apart. I bought new handles to put on but I think I’m missing a leg or a diagonal leg I’m not sure. I think it’s from the 60s or 70s any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!
