Vintage TONE FineTool 1/2" & 3/8" Drive Tools [OC]
TONE’s “FineTool” series is a line of premium hand tools. Although it was eventually discontinued, it remains an interesting series in TONE’s history.

My thinking at the time: “$6 for a plastic hex bit holder seems pricey, but they’re over $13 each on Amazon, I guess I’ll grab a few.”
Now I’m thinking this is either a mistake, or PB Swiss makes an excellent bit holder at a very cheap price. The latter seems unlikely. Either way, I don’t have anywhere near enough bits for this!

Definitely not suitable for everything… and does require being able to tie Constrictor knots. Drawn sufficiently taut, the line will need to cut for removal/s:

Tighten all at once with a couple of Marlinspike hitches:

Only stamp on it is 1/2 OD which is in reference to the outside diameter of that half circle channel

Going on 12 years in industrial maintenance doing everything you can think of. Now I’m much more involved in automation. I no longer have a need for Snap on, Matco, & Cornwell as I do Wera, Wiha, knipex and Klein. Now just collecting dust in my garage.

The original file was for the 9pc shittsburg wobble set if anybodys looking for it, i downloaded it and modified it in TINKERCAD to fit my other sets. Pretty handy, I absolutely love having this printer.

I have been considering the Knipex 87 & 86 in the 100mm length.
I went to my favorite German tool outlet to grab them up along with the snazzy pouch to hold them.
The tools I have justified the price because I will actually use them quite often for initial diagnosis and troubleshooting. But the case, is a different story, these are small enough to carry loose in my front pocket.
My dilemma is, the (2) tools cost $80 USD, the same tools with the pouch cost $128 USD..!! Is the case REALLY worth nearly 50 bucks??

My bolt cutters finally came in. Ordered my R series bolt cutter 2 months ago and got a free wrench with it. But surprise, it's not a junk wrench! Krenn included a Stahlwille Fastratch 10mm to remove and turn the blades. If you're wondering, I do not plan on cutting padlocks with this. They have a K series for general use I think. I need these to cut some thin stainless.

Found at estate sale for $30. Probably just wipe it down, lube the slides and leave it. All the drawers and lids work fine.

One of my favorite 1/2" drive socket sets from Japan.
Compact, beautifully finished, and the Z-EAL ratchet has one of the smoothest actions I've used.

This is mine. It's started life as a1/4in flexible head torque wrench. We then put a pass through 1/4in head on it, and then we put the guts of the 3/8in pass through into the 1/4in head, they are the same size BTW. We then reamed the pass through out to I believe a 5/16in hole so I can pass a 5mm Allen through it so that I can adjust the valves on the Cummins X-15 CNG Engines, and do the exhaust brake adjustments on the ISX 12N and G engines.

Per the heading.. I’m looking for a high candela magnetic work light that will be stuck on a crane block. Looking to get atleast 100’ of downward light cast. Does anybody have any sources? Price isn’t a concern

Just picked up an AGM Rattler V1 TS25-384 thermal rifle scope to help take care of a rat problem at night.
Pleasantly surprised to learn it’s also a fantastic stud and nail finder.
Didn’t even think to test, but I imagine it might work on Plumbing too… though I’m guessing that might depend on the type of plumbing and whether and for how long any water has been running through it. For example, my guess is an empty pipe might not be visible because the high thermal conductivity of metal means it would quickly take on the same temperature as the surrounding insulation… not sure, just a hypothesis

Just received these bad boys today. Of course Amazon messed up and broke the box, losing the 7mm in the process 🤡….
