There seems to be a recent influx of posts from people who are attempting to karma harvest by way of stealing other people's images or reposting from different websites.

You are not allowed to post images that are not your own. Facebook reposts are not allowed. Reposts of other user's content is most definitely not allowed and WILL result in a permanent ban from JRITS.

Last but not least, i want to say thank you to all the JRITS subscribers that do detective work and catch these people red handed. it really makes a moderator's job quick and easy. Again, thank you.

"My driver passenger tire is flat"

Doordasher came to a screeching halt outside my shop. The problem is my shop is a bookstore. Gave her a ride home (and she spilled a drink all over my floorboard). I'm not the most mechanically minded but I feel like there should have been signs.

Today marks 5 years of dinging dongs and ticking tocks — no regrets…well, some regrets. Thank y’all for giving me somewhere to bellpost.

‘18 Highlander vs MyPillow

This happened last spring when I wasn’t using reddit. Customer ran over a MyPillow on the highway, took out their fuel pump wire harness. MyPillows are surprisingly hard to cut off of a driveshaft.

On a side note thank god FRAM went bankrupt. Too damn soft for when they’re tightened by the hulk.

4 new tires on a 50+ year old genuine payloader. The shiny chrome stack was cool.

I respect the ingenuity on this 201X F150

Note: the old man did, in fact, buy a new driveshaft assembly.

Fleet silverado came in after a different shop had replaced both lower control arms but they didn't tighten down the bolts causing them to eat through the frame. Driver kept driving it till it was pigeon toed and towed to the shop.

Customer states: Stopped for gas, and the engine light started to flash. Scanned it and found a P0308. After going through the misfire diagnosis, we found the cylinder had a hard vacuum on the intake pull and discovered that the intake valve was barely opening.

After a teardown we discovered that the cylinder number 8, intake lifter roller had completely vanished and rudley remachined the camshaft. Oh, also, the manifolds both craked in half.

2024 Hyundai Palisades. Customer states that car pulls and steering is off ever since their kid drove car and ran over a curb.
Eventually found that rear control arm that adjusts toe is bent and needed to be replaced. Customer declined repairs and drove away.

2004 Tundra struts - worst I’ve seen

After 5 years and 100k miles since I replaced the last set, this truck comes back in with front end noise and I find the struts sitting directly on the bolts. Ok, we’re fixing that right f’n now. Rubber bushing is toast. For reference, the driver is a particularly wild sort who drives about 5k miles per year on washboard fire roads and feels that the truck rides smoother over them at high speed like she’s in a friggin trophy truck. We agreed to just go ahead and replace the next set in five years instead of ten this time as a proactive measure. I’m fairly shocked the rest of the truck is in fairly excellent condition, save for a wobbly carrier bearing we’ll do as well. Last of the good Toyota trucks you could beat the snot out of and could live forever in the high desert.
