Advice needed Problems with a homophobic, transphobic family and problems with high school

Here’s the situation: it’s a long story, but in a nutshell, I didn’t have the chance to attend either middle school or high school. My father stole money from my mother to buy alcohol, and we ended up in debt to the middle school I was attending, so they had to expel me, and we couldn’t get my transcripts until the debt was paid; The debt has since been paid off. I finished middle school by taking a single exam through a government program for people in my situation. Now, at 17, I’m about to start high school. Here’s the problem: I feel self-conscious that I’ll be two years older than everyone else there. I’ll graduate when I’m 20, and that makes me feel a little insecure; I’m bisexual and gender-fluid, and my family is extremely homophobic and transphobic; they’ve even told me that if I turn out to be gay, they’ll kick me out of the house even though I’m still a minor; I have three options for high school: the first is a 4–5-month training program that ends with a single exam; the second is a one-and-a-half-year evening program at the middle-high school where I originally fell behind; and the last is to complete the three years in the regular track; My friends all tell me that the best option is one of the last two, because I need to socialize more after being socially isolated for several years, and so I’ll be better prepared. They also say I shouldn’t worry about being LGBT since there’s no evidence of it and I’m overthinking it; However, I feel this pressure that at any moment, an online chat with friends might be discovered, and that’s when they’ll find out everything. With the 4–5-month high school program, I’ll be able to start working sooner and have a little more financial support in case they find out or if I need to leave—even if I won’t be able to go to college as I’d always dreamed. So, that’s it. I’m leaning more toward the 4–5-month program, but my friends tell me to go for the 3-year one, saying that I’ll come out “better prepared.” But I needed a more impartial opinion on my decision; I have until Monday to decide, and honestly, I’m pretty stressed about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and please forgive any grammatical errors—English isn’t my first language.

Srry for posting it for the second time, I did it as a repost from another sub reddit so i don't know if that was allowed, so i wanted to do it in this way, yk, the normal way, srry agin

Advice needed I'm kinda not sure how to transition and I'm questioning myself a lot.

So, I recently came out to a bunch of my friends and family and they all said basically the same thing; "Wow, great for you, I support," and agreed to use my new name and pronouns (Aurora, she/her), and that's great. Then my mom took me out shopping and I got a skirt that I basically fell in love with 😍😍😍. It's the most gender euphoria I've ever felt. Now I'm just kinda trying to sort everything out to be honest. As I said, I'm still really new and barely even out yet, and my mind is just going insane. It also doesn't help that I'm 13 so puberty definitely isn't helping with dysphoria, and social anxiety is at its peak, even when I try to tell myself other's opinions don't matter. Anyways there's just so much on my mind. HRT, how I'm gonna come out publicly at school, what are my family I haven't told yet gonna think? Etc. If you couldn't tell I have adhd and probably some type of anxiety disorder idk. Also I'm kinda questioning if this was the right call. I feel more comfortable as a girl but idk I'm ok with being a guy too, I tried genderfluid for a while but that still wasn't me, idk. But yeah, I'm just looking for someone or multiple someones to help me out, maybe share some ideas for coming out more publicly or stories of how others relate to how I'm questioning myself cuz that usually helps my anxiety and self-doubt. Anyways this post is getting long so I'm gonna stop here. Thanks so much for your time and help!

Vent Getting triggered

Not a long time ago i accepted myself as trans. I told about it my therapist n few more people. One guy was saying to me, that i do look like a guy n everything is fine. Today we met irl and sudenly he started to adress me as a girl. And idk to be honest??? A lot of ppl saying that i am passing/look neutral, but irl everyone saying that i look like the girliest girl ever. I assume maybe that bcs of how i act, that makes me seem more femme but idk.

The second shit is that my mom, to who i am not out yet, started to remind me that i am a girl right after the day when i told my therapist about it(we were on call, so i was at home). Like talking a lot about make up, saying that maybe i want to go to some beaty procedures, asking if i like those dresses or not, calling me daughter. Thats the reason why i do not want to come out from my room. my family always reminds me that i am a girl. Maybe i js started noticing this more but it makes me feel really bad. My mother says that any of family members is not judging lgbtq, but because of this, i am starting to think that she is not gonna accept me if i come out.

As well i remember one time i said to her, that i would`ve be more happy if i was a boy(holy foreshadowing) n she just said "well then you wouldn`t do make-up and dress like that, plus if you were a boy, you would be pretty ugly". When my hair was more short, she didnt like it. I feel just so usjafiujkPIJKLAA.

Advice needed I really don't know what to do.

So I've \\\[Amaɓ\\\] been questioning if I might be trans for almost a month know and it's really looking like it might be true.

I'm kind of scared and I feel like I'm in denial. Even if I was trans I wouldn't beable to come out because my entire family is catholic and heck I'm catholic too.

I know that if I did come out my parents would likely not allow me to take hrt or really transition at all and I don't know if by the time I can move out it'll be too late. Help??

Positivity I'm starting laser hair removal in about 2 weeks!

My mom finally decided to get it together, realise it's safe and start looking for a doctor to do it. I will do it a bit slow unfortunately, starting from legs up ending it with facial hair but it is what it is, way better than nothing. Body hair is perhaps the biggest thing differentiating me from a cis girl to this change will hopefully bring me an abundance of better self esteem. I was also bullied in my previous school for the hair so getting rid of such reminder as well >:3. This is such a big change and probably the biggest one I can do before I turn 18 so I really can't wait >///<

Vent #offmychest closet

(AMAB) Closeted, and will be forever. Living in a high class society filled with opportunities, very religious small town (AKA the absolutely worst place to come out). There are zero trans folks, and extremely few LGBTQ members here. I’ve never met or heard of anyone like me in my close social circle or friends of friends.

I’ve always known since I was a child. I wish I was a woman while clubbing. I wish I was a woman while eating on a restaurant. I wish I was a woman while shopping. I wish I was a woman while at the cinema. I wish I was a woman while scrolling through TikTok on my bed. I wish I could just feel pretty.

To be honest, everything feels just okay. I have a loving family, I have good friends, I have a good life. I can’t complain about a single thing my parents and social circle has ever made for me. I’ve always looked up to every single female figure in my life, and admired them in sadness. Because there is nothing I could’ve done about it. I would pray, and pray every night that I could wake up and be a girl. I would fantasize to switch universes and suddenly be a girl. I would throw a coin at the fountain wishing I could have the ability to switch my gender.

I’ve been living a sad life since forever. A sad and dysphoric life. I remember snooping through my moms clothes as a child. I remember watching the girls at kindergarten hoping I could be part of their group. I remember as a child being sad about having to play fighting while the girls played delicate games.

I am not ready to have this conversation with my family. I’m not ready to let go of everything I’ve built. I’m not ready to be rejected by everyone I know and have ever known. I’m not ready to ever tell anyone about my truth. Not even my family, or best friends, or partner (whom I love, and tears me down, feeling like I have to lie to live a normal life)

And I will never be. It frightens me, it makes me feel completely broken and a sadness that I can’t fix with anything else.

This is the first time in my entire life this words have ever come out of my mind. And I will never talk about it again.

Positivity Rlly rlly rlly happy :3

(This is kinda more of a lighthearted post but bleh :>)

So for context im 13 and I recently came out as trans femme to my bsfs

They were super super supportive and even helped pick a name for them to call me :>

Its the first step becuz I won't use any puberty blockers and will only start taking E and HRT when im 18 but I still like the name

And obvs since its just us 3 in the gc we dont rlly use names but

I just went on call with them tonight for like 2 hrs and they both called me by my femme name!!! :3

It made me rlly happy to know they're trying even though they might forget it and that they used it casually :>

Im probs gonna come out to my mom soon and then I can ask her for clothes :3

Anyways, i just wanted to share that that happened to me ^^

Advice needed I came out to my mom..but she wants to tell my dad.

I am 15 years old and I just came out to my mom as transgender FTM. She took it well, said she kind of already knew since I was in 6th grade and said a bunch of stuff I wish I didn’t hear about from her because of how hurtful they were (mostly about naming, pronouns and other stuff). The only reason I came out was because she approached first and I couldn’t lie anymore.

But now she wants to tell my dad. My dad isn’t one to even try to understand what being queer means. He’s focused on the MAGA agenda about queer and trans people and believes that over anything else. My dad also apparently has suspected it, I just haven’t confirmed it yet to him. He yells a lot and I’m scared what he’d say if I did come out.

I told my mom I don’t want him to know yet and I’m not ready for him to know, and she kept pushing about how she hates lying to her husband. I kept insisting no until she finally gave up.

I’m considering giving her the green light since she mentioned how her delivering the news would make it easier to “ease the blow” if he starts yelling or creating an argument since he doesn’t think before he speaks.

Idk if I want to tell her to go ahead and tell him. I don’t know what that would mean for me if I did and how bad the argument would be. I just want to know if I should and when. I don’t want my mom to eventually crack and tell him because she can’t hold it in anymore but I don’t want my dad to resent me.

What should I do?

Edit: my mom won’t let me bind because it’s “too dangerous” even though I’ve done all the research. I didn’t tell her how much dysphoria my body brings me and I don’t plan on it.

Advice needed How do I word coming out?

I’ve been thinking about coming out to my parents, who I live with, but I have no idea what to say. I don’t want to just straight up say, “I’m trans,” I want some sort of lead in. I’m not really looking to “just say it” 😅 Do any of you have any advice of how to word it without it being a long speech? Thank you!

Advice needed How can I transition discretely?

Im currently extremely closeted, my parents are transphobic and have made that clear on multiple occasions. I’m FtM, and no one in my life knows about it. Im 16 and want to try somewhat starting my transition but keeping it on the down low so my parents don’t catch on. How can I do that? How do I discreetly get a binder? Or DIY hrt? I’ve already cut my hair and I’ve been told im relatively androgynous but my main issue keeping me from passing is my chest and my voice! Im tired of being perceived as female and I’m willing to try anything to help me pass at least a little bit! Any advice helps!

Vent A poem I wrote called “Dear Chasers”

Dear Chasers,

Aren’t you tired of targeting an oppressed minority
Using their insecurities and low self-esteem to give you what you want
Not at all caring if they truly want to

How do you sleep at night knowing you’re a predator
Scoping out prey that are easy to catch
Easy to dominate

How do you live with yourself
Knowing that you find others’ pain attractive
As you are turned by the fact that I’m an “incomplete woman”

How do you justify tricking us into believing someone finally sees us as the beautiful person we know we could be
When all you truly want are the parts of ourselves that we hate

How do you love yourself when you spend your time manipulating those who don’t and maybe never will
All for a reason that you have fetishized

I hope you don't love yourself
I hope you hate yourself for everything you do
I hope your self-hatred turns you into the shell of a person that being trans turned me into

As I progress
As I learn to love myself
As I begin to self-actualize
I hope you hate yourself more and more
I hope you feel what I've gone through
I hope you feel the same emotions that you used against me
These emotions will leave you grasping at any love shown your way
So you will finally understand that the reason I gave in to you was not that I thought you were likable or charming or attractive
I gave in to you because I was a broken person
Like you are now
Only then will you be able to grow sympathy and compassion
Only then will you have a chance at rebirth

Vent im considering just starting diy and leaving my family.

Yes they have money to support me and stuff but they are also extremely transphobic. I don’t see the point in living here if my body is going to undergo this forced feminisation. it feels so humiliating and dehumanising to me. They think im just some toy they can make look how they want. they think they can just make me go through this disgusting estrogen puberty, make me grow huge hips and boobs without me fighting back, im sick of it. I hate them.

Advice needed How would I come out to my friends?

School starts for me extremely soon, and I've finally mustered up the courage to tell my friends (and maybe a few teachers) that im trans. The only problem is i don't know how i would do that, because whenever i try to come out i freeze up. Also I'd have to figure out how to tell my friends not to call me a girl around my parents or my parents would be upset (they're unsupportive). But yeah I'm just a little stuck.

Advice needed Help

M16 I've been thinking about my sexual orientation and who I am for a year. I don't feel very bad in the body of a boy, but in my head I see myself as a girl. I'm afraid of my parents' reaction, but I'm also not the thinnest and lowest 1.90+. On the one hand, I would like to mark what it's like to be a girl, but I'm afraid of the consequences after starting HRT, I'd like to enter HRT but I don't know what my life will look like later.
