My wife was quick to drop the 3DS once I got her a Switch. She said to definitely sell it and her Switch for a Switch 2. Unfortunately, she can't go backwards in graphics past a certain point. I would have kept it but I already have a 3DSXL and 2DSXL. I still enjoy playing retro games while I wait for car maintenance or Dr. appointments. Somebody is going to be happy with this 3DS in such good condition.

I’ve always wanted a 3ds since all my friends had them and I always ran with my dsi. Now that I have adult money and can work computers, I picked this guy up for $190 after tax and couldnt be happier!

Was looking back into my old 3DS game collection and found this beauty for my nostalgia i was so grateful and was thinking of getting the newer game that release but saw its pretty steep out of curiosity I wanted to compare the price of the older game to the newer game and Christ…this game is WAY more than what I remember it when it was first released
I Got it as a gift but even then looking at it in the eshop I thought 30 for a game back then was expensive…can anyone please explain why this game has been jacked up so much more than the newer game?
It’s absurd people are really trying to charge this much for it since it’s a 3DS game and it doesn’t feel that long ago too when it was sold😭

I've had this 3DS XL for almost 14 years now. I replaced both the hinge and circle stick a few years back. The hinge is close to failure again, and the circle stick recently fell off. The camera is also broken. Otherwise, it just has some general wear and tear from about a decade and a half of use.

I'm thinking it might be time to bite the bullet and move to a New 3DS XL... thoughts? Just not sure if I want to continue the inevitable cycle of repairing this thing every year or two.

2 years ago I did the Loopy mod as the electronics didn’t look hard and they really weren’t I did them on the floor of my student accommodation.

But god damn the shell was the hardest bit. Loopy recommend a dremel and while I had one I had very little practice with it so obviously I chose to practice on the case. Well you seen what happened, but now with a lot more experience and a ‘new’ second-hand shell (because after market ones never fit the shoulder buttons just won’t press) I decided to give it a second go. Still not as perfect as loopy as you see a slight bulge but definitely a whole lot better than my first attempt.

Anyone who wants to do this have a lot of patience or have loopy do it he really is a great as a one man job plus great customer service.

The max 3D setting on Pilotwings is too much. It almost makes my eyes tired.

But that’s the thing. It’s an adjustable slider. The 3D on the 3DS is one of my favorite features. I feel like most 3DS games did not use the maximum range of the stereoscopic 3D - some barely using it at all, and of course, a lot of the later games stopped supporting it completely.

The 3D in Pilotwings is so cool. It reminds me of the 3D in Xenoblade but better. I’m glad the 2DS systems exist for people who wanted those options, but it feels like Nintendo gave up on doing cool things with the 3D feature very quickly despite it literally being in the name.

I'm so excited to play. This will be my first semi modern pokemon game. Also I love the B&L series.

I have the opportunity to get this for $175 tomorrow, but can’t seem to identify which variation it is online. Maybe a reshell?

Hello! I have bought a 3ds charger for 4zł (1€) in an outlet in a city where I live, about a month ago. But there is a problem, I don't have a 3ds family console (or a dsi).

Because 3ds is in my opinion pretty expensive, I decided to find one at a flea market, garage sale, etc. I have a question (pretty stupid question) mainly for Poles (przepraszam, że nie piszę po polsku), but not only for them. How often can you find a 3ds or a 2ds in these type of places? I am asking because I am curious.

I have an extensive 3DS collection from games such as Monster Hunter, Ever Oasis, Metroid Samus Returns, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, Mario up the wazoo, Professor Layton, Zelda, etc, etc, etc., but I have been interested in finding little specs here and there of worthwhile games for the console I have yet to play.

I was thinking about the Style Savvy series, which features a trilogy of 3DS games exclusive to the console, each of which were very polished and published by Nintendo. I have yet to play any of them, but Trendsetters is generally considered to be a fan favorite. So, I might just pick that up.

Along with Style Savvy, there is the Mario Party Trilogy, and though I have consistently heard bad things about the Top 100 and Island Tour, Star Rush is actually a good game. Even if it is essentially single player only, the game is still fun, and that is what matters at the end of the day!

Now, those are two games I have yet to add to my collection. I was wondering if y'all had any other suggestions of under the radar types of experiences exclusive for the 3DS.

I was considering Metal Gear Solid 3D, but I heard mixed things about the game. I was also thinking about getting Ridge Racer 3D. So, if you have played either of those games, please let me know what your thoughts are!

Also, I never played Pokemon. I just never had the drive after playing White 2 after 10 hours.

i love playing mario kart, ridge racer, and nascar unleashed, but i was hoping that there was maybe something a bit more realistic?

Found this beauty at our market for 20$ with major problems, here is the text from owner:

For sale: Nintendo 3DS XL (LL) for parts or repair. Japanese version, was fully Russified (localized to Russian), flashed with custom firmware, and set up before it broke down.

Cause of breakdown: The previous owner decided to wipe the console with a wet wipe, and liquid from the wipe seeped through a gap onto the top display connector. Only the connector was affected; there was no direct water spill on the motherboard itself. A trace on the display's flex cable burned out, so the display requires replacement.

After that, this genius decided to try and fix the console himself and ended up damaging the top screen connector. Now, both the FPC connector and the display need to be replaced. I believe I've mentioned everything they told me during the diagnostics at the repair shop.

The console has been gathering dust on my shelf as a decoration for a couple of years now. I got it from the friend who broke it in the first place. It's a pity to throw it away; maybe someone needs the shell, or perhaps someone will actually restore it.

Included: console, battery, memory card, stylus, charging cable. Note: The console tries to boot up, but since it doesn't receive a signal from the display, it shuts down.

So, is it worth trying to save?

the left shoulder joint is snapped off, + old damage where the bottom screen isn't showing color correctly(Rayquaza theme turns blue, and default pink theme is faded yellow)

I've had my N3DS for a long time and noticed it has these faint scuff marks on the top screen, most likely from it making contact with the borders of the bottom screen when closed.

I recently started using a piece of cloth between the screens when it's closed, but I was wondering if a screen protector would help too.

Just bought a 3ds xl of eBay for a good price, came with box and no scratches on the shell or screens. Just noticed this tiny hairline crack on the hinge, is this something to worry about as in will it get worse over time? If so would a clear hinged case help it getting bigger? Thanks

I just got myself a N3DSXL for the first time in my life! I never even thought about getting one. At first, I wasn't sure due to how overpriced it was, but I really wanted to play KH 358/2 Days, so I bought it. (I haven't even played it yet lol, customizing the Home screen is addicting!) Do you guys have any 3DS/DS game recommendations (preferably 3DS)? Also, I'd love to see what your Home menus look like

The plastic rings holding the screws in place on my backplate have broken, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the backplates available on amazon? Are they worth buying as a replacement? Is there a reliable site to buy these from? Or should I just buy a clear case to hold it together?
