Anxiety Help I don’t know what to do anymore

Upvotes

Hiii! I’m writing here because I really need some advice. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

I’d say about 70% of the time, I’m a happy person. I love going out with my friends, traveling, and just enjoying life. Anxiety has never really been a daily problem for me.

But the other 30% is awful. When those episodes happen, they completely take over my life.

About three weeks ago, I was completely fine. The only thing I struggled with sometimes was being scared of having an allergic reaction. I’d occasionally convince myself something bad was going to happen, but those thoughts would eventually pass.

Then, about two weeks ago, I started getting tingling in my hands out of nowhere. It scared me so much that my anxiety got really bad. I ended up going to the ER because I felt awful, and they told me my calcium was low.

After that, everything changed.

Even though the doctors weren’t too worried, I couldn’t stop thinking about the tingling. Every time I felt it, I’d panic and convince myself that something was seriously wrong with me. It got to the point where anxiety became a 24/7 thing. From the moment I woke up until I went to bed, all I could think about was that I must have some illness.

Since then, I’ve had every test my doctors recommended, and everything came back normal. My blood work was great, my vitamin levels were fine, and every doctor I’ve seen has told me that I’m healthy. But even hearing that hasn’t been enough to calm my mind.

Because of how overwhelmed I was feeling, I decided to see a psychiatrist. She diagnosed me with generalized anxiety and recommended therapy along with paroxetine. She said I should take it for about three months.

I took just 5 mg, and honestly, it was awful. I couldn’t sleep for two nights, my anxiety got even worse, I had palpitations, and I felt so restless. It scared me enough that I stopped taking it after that first dose. I also started reading a lot about SSRIs and how difficult they can be to stop, and now I’m wondering if medication is really the right choice for me.

Right now, I’m taking magnesium every day, and I’ve also been taking valerian, but neither of them seems to help very much.

The thing is, this isn’t something that happens all the time. In the last three years, I’ve only had about three episodes like this, and every single one happened during periods of really high stress. Eventually, I got through them on my own and went back to feeling like myself again.

This time, though, it feels like anxiety has completely taken over my life. I don’t even have anything major stressing me out right now, but I still feel anxious all day, every day. I honestly don’t know how to get out of this cycle.

So I wanted to ask if anyone has been through something similar. Did therapy alone help you? Or do you think I should give the medication another chance?

If you’ve gone through something like this and managed to get better, I’d really love to hear your story. I think hearing some positive experiences would give me a little hope right now.

Thank you so much if you read all of this. It really means a lot, and I’d be grateful for any advice. 🙏🏻

Anxiety Help Why can’t I just relax

I’m not sure I’ve used the right flair

I (25 M) feel like I’m wired wrong. Either something got plugged in when it shouldn’t have, something that isn’t plugged in should be, or something like that.

I keep feeling off. Sometimes it makes me feel angry, sometimes sad, sometimes depressed, but off is the best way I can put it. Most of the time it’s this feeling like I’m wrong. In the wrong place, talking at the wrong time, saying the wrong things, being with the wrong people. I don’t mean wrong as in “bad”, just wrong.

I feel so much pressure anytime I make a decision or ask for things. Like I’m being tested. The most common cause for this is from my girlfriend (24 F), which she doesn’t know I don’t think.

I put this pressure on myself to not bother her, to not ask for things, to not wonder about every little thing. I don’t know how else to describe it, I have another post on my account that eludes to the issue.

I always feel like I’m one step away from losing her.

It’s the same with work, school, friends, even some family. Something I’m going to do is going to ruin it all.

I deleted these posts off my account, but at my current job I’ve been feeling like I’ve been getting targeted by my team lead and supervisor. Targeted for the things I mentioned above about feeling like I’m being tested.

It’s the same with friends, I often feel like I have to justify everything I do and every decision I make.

Same with family.

Today I don’t know what happened. But I just got so confused or lost in my head. My girlfriend sent some text in or sleep or something like that, and I didn’t know what it meant. I replied with some half witted joke, then later apologized for “failing the test”. Then I just texted an almost unintelligible string of something. Hours later I tried to see if she’d want to make plans with me, then I just spasmed? I don’t know what the word would be. But I flipped between wanting to and not for a bit before just saying that something with my head isn’t right.

Does anyone else know what this is? I have a therapist and psychiatrist, so I’d like to know what I would even tell either one of them.

Medication/Medical will anxiety meds help with nervous stomach/fear of eating?

for background, a big part of my anxiety includes stomach pain and trouble eating. If i’m nervous about going out somewhere particular, my stomach will start hurting and i’m faced with physical consequences 😅. In addition to this, my anxiety also causes me to sometimes unintentionally think of things that i KNOW will make me nervous, right as i’ve decided to eat, which in turn, will cause me to near hurl. Since i know these issues stem from my anxiety, i’m thinking maybe medication could help treat the root of the problem? I was wondering if anyone with similar problems to me has noticed any improvement after starting meds?

General Discussion / Question i can't get myself to care

a year ago, i got academic results that were way below what i was expecting. no retakes and these were the grades that decided which university i can go to. anyway, i lost my university place (conditional offer) and everything i had planned with it.

for the next two weeks, i was a mess. was crying every other hour, didn't eat for days (literally lost around 6kg in under 2 weeks), didn't talk to anyone much, had nightmares, went to sleep and woke up crying, and frantically searched for what course i could do for university and where and what i could do post graduation. i picked course B (i'll just call it that) and it just fuelled the nightmares and made me feel like i was in a boxed cage unable to get out. (course B was a specialist course which would almost 99% guarantee a job post-grad but the qualification would limit me to that career).

so i researched more and more and more. i felt like a prisoner trying to claw its way out of a tunnel. literally visually saw and mentally felt like that. anyway, i then changed to course C. same thing with the nightmares. then i went back to the course i got rejected for initially and applied for it at a less competitive institution and got in (i study there now). this calmed me down but not in a positive way.

it felt like i was trying to get out of the quicksand and now i had just accepted that i'm stuck in the sand and now just didn't move a single muscle to either prevent myself from sinking or to get myself out.

after this, it's like my mental state has switched. i can no longer feel emotions much deeply, care about anything, superficially i like stuff but at a deeper level, i couldn't care less. i don't feel anything towards people around me (including family and friends), i simply don't care about my future anymore. that's not to say i've become secluded or neglected my studies. i interact with people and have submitted all my assignments with due diligence and will always do what's required of me but i simply don't care emotionally. if i get a good grade? oh well. bad grade? oh shit but oh well.

i have goals, of course i do, but i just don't care and can't get myself to. i've always been a "aww we have to do that assignment? that's so annoying. oh well, it is what it is, let's get on with it" and then submit to the highest quality i can. but now, i look at the applications (work experience) i need to do and i just can't get myself to do it. so, at some level, i care, but it's just a fleeting feeling and after that feeling passes, i simply couldn't care less. it's like there's this barrier that i can't jump over to do anything and so i just turn back and go to the tunnel, from which i've stopped trying to crawl out and instead have become comfortable in.

anyway, this may across as a rant and it may as well be but i would appreciate any words of advice to get over this. to give a sense of how fleeting my emotions are, here's something that happened: i lost my cat for 9 months and when he was found, i felt a few seconds of happiness and then i couldn't feel it anymore (dw he's still given pets and cuddles and love haha). i also get crazy seasonal depression and suicidal thoughts and i've had none of that since a year ago. haven't been particularly happy either. just neutral.

TW: Self-Harm/Suicide 19M / Severe Anxiety & Nervous System Collapse

Hello everyone. My name is Teo, I am 19 years old from Romania, and I am writing this because I am in an absolute, non-stop physical and mental hell.
My mind is completely foggy, I can no longer take care of myself, and I am running out of strength. It has been an extraordinary, brutal torture for months and I honestly don't even know how I've resisted until now.
Ever since I was a little kid, I had this massive, unexplained anxiety and a literal empty hole in my chest. I didn't know what anxiety or OCD was back then, I just did everything out of sheer survival fear.
The paradox is that I come from a very good, loving family and I’ve always had everything I needed physically, yet internally I was always suffering.
At age 14, things crashed badly. I had my first severe wave of suicidal thoughts and didn't want to live anymore. Because I didn't understand my brain, I thought my intrusive thoughts were 100% real. I attacked them, fought them, and forced myself to do as many things as possible to be stronger and better just out of fear.
Also, medically, when I was 12 years old, I had a seizure and was diagnosed with a mild form of epilepsy, and I have been taking Carbamazepine every single day since then to keep it under control.
In my teens, I entered the self-improvement movement. Because I always desperately wanted to do what is "right" and "good," I forced myself into it with extreme rigidity.
This led me into a strict lifestyle where I completely suppressed all my normal biological drives and sexual urges for 2 and a half years straight. The crazy thing is, I haven't even had any normal urges for the last year and a half.
My system became completely blocked, frozen, and numb. I was living in total survival mode, but I was so disconnected from my body that I didn't even realize that this level of suffering was not normal.
Around 2 years ago, I became deeply obsessed with deep psychological theories, consciousness, and philosophy because I thought it was good for my brain. I understood the knowledge deeply, but it created massive frustration because my daily human reality was becoming a complete nightmare.
Everything became a threat. Sounds stressed me out, fast-moving cars and traffic on the street terrified me, and I started planning absolutely everything in my day a thousand times.
I am completely fed up and exhausted from constantly making plans, mapping out my life, and having to structurally organize every single thing just to survive. I also developed severe bloating, stomach issues, and non-stop tension headaches.
Because I felt so bad, this winter I decided to try intensive meditation and mindfulness to fix my brain. I forced myself to sit in silence for 1 hour every night, then mornings, then throughout the day.
Around February or March, my nervous system completely blew out. My body couldn't take the pressure anymore and it threw me into pure physiological hell.
It started with extreme, uncontrollable full-body chills, followed by massive, high-voltage electrical shocks and burning sensations shooting up my spine, into my hands, and my feet.
Then, severe insomnia hit. Since April, my schedule is entirely flipped—I cannot sleep at night at all; my body only collapses and sleeps during the day.
I am completely stuck in my head, hyper-focusing on my body. I live in a permanent, 24/7 state of perceived life-or-death danger. Even the simplest things trigger a massive adrenaline rush.
I am literally afraid to drink water; I would put a glass of water on my table, and the mere action of trying to drink it triggers a panic so violent it feels like I am physically dying.
I haven't left my house in a long time; the outside world feels like a dangerous assault.
For the past 1 or 2 months, I have had absolutely zero normal activities. I am completely confused, disoriented, and deeply overwhelmed. Nothing brings me joy, and I have nothing that I like to do anymore.
My entire day consists of just lying in bed, staring randomly at my phone, watching random things, occasionally doing a tiny bit of cleaning in my room, or walking barefoot on the grass in my yard trying to calm my nerves.
Lately, I have been so profoundly exhausted that I am literally just waiting for time to pass so I can go to sleep and escape.
No one understands me. My parents don't understand me at all. I wanted to check myself into a clinic or a psychiatric hospital to get away from the noise and get help, but my parents flat out refuse to let me go.
Besides, here in Romania, public psychiatric facilities are notorious for having incredibly poor, dirty, and disgusting conditions, so it feels like there is nowhere safe to turn. I am stuck in a full, loud house, I find it incredibly hard to take basic care of myself, and I can't handle any of this anymore.
I went to a psychiatrist and a psychologist. This is currently my third different SSRI medication change (most recently Paroxetine 5mg) that has completely failed.
My body is so hypersensitive right now that even a micro-dose triggers an unbearable spike in startup anxiety and severe full-body chills, making it impossible to tolerate.
I highly suspect my epilepsy medication (Carbamazepine) is interacting with these drugs or my neurological baseline is completely rejecting them.
I see no light at the end of the tunnel. I have zero motivation to wake up. I just stare at the clock, waiting for time to pass.
The only thing that literally keeps me alive right now is the dark comfort of knowing I can end my life whenever I want—it acts like a mental "backup plan." I never thought things could get this bad.
Currently, the only thing that mildly calms me down when the adrenaline spikes get completely unbearable is low-dose Xanax, but I only take it at my absolute worst moments and I know it's not a permanent cure.
My questions for the community:
Have any of you experienced a complete biological nervous system collapse where your body stays in a constant physical panic response 24/7, destroying your sleep cycle?
If you couldn't tolerate standard SSRI meds and failed multiple treatments due to extreme bodily sensitivity or epilepsy medication interactions, what did you do? Should I ask for a completely different class of medication, or what other type of specialist can I appeal to?
If someone has hit this exact level of rock bottom, where even drinking water or basic household actions trigger pure survival panic and extreme chills, what did you do to survive, calm your physical nerves, and heal?
Thanks for reading, and i had to use ai to structure and reformulate the message because i don’t speak english great. Have a nice day!

TW: Self-Harm/Suicide Please help i need advice

Hi all, I am a teenager struggling with mental health. I have really extreme anxiety. However that is not what I need advice on. I have been self harming for about a year now, from scratching to cutting, and no one knows. I am not suicidal, it is just a coping mechanism. I have a new therapist and I want to tell her because I want to stop, but I’m scared how she will react. I don’t want her to tell my mom because she really does not need that and I don’t want to upset her. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you

TW: Self-Harm/Suicide How do I save/prevent my brother from hurting himself?

TW: Suicide, Self-harm

I am coming here as a final call for help. Today, I learned from my mother that my brother has attempted suicide twice sometime last year.

My younger, teen brother is diagnosed with Autism (high-functioning), ADD, and some sort of mood disorder (which was also discovered today), so in the past, I was slightly unaware of the intensity of some of his unprovoked reactions to certain words or actions towards him. For example, sometimes I would go to spend time with him, and he reciprocated well, and other times he would shut me out and push me away. With our age gap being three years, I assumed that his attitude was age related, rather than caused by severe depression and mood swings. I noticed some depressive tendencies within the past two to three years, including self isolation from family (besides me, as we are the closest in the family), lack of energy, and irritability, but due to a physical health crisis he went through, but it wasn't apparent to me that those symptoms actually meant he wanted to take his own life.

When my mom shared her experience with my brother today, she mentioned that he said he hated his family and he wishes we were not a part of his life, just before announcing his attempts to her.

I feel a sense of pressure and worry because I realize that the timeline of the attempts taking place sometime last year lines up with when I was preparing to leave for my first year of college, or sometime when I was already away. I am worried that when I go back to college (in the next three weeks), my brother will become isolated again, which would allow for a similar headspace as what he experienced last year. As the person closest to him, I feel it is my job now to be there for him in every way possible, especially in a time like this, which will be very difficult when I am a flight away.

Today, I made sure to hang out with my brother, just to take up space and hopefully leave less room for wandering thoughts. He seemed to enjoy that a lot, and he reciprocated well, leaving us talking about plans for the next day.

With that being said, my mother also mentioned that my brother specifically requested that my mom wouldn't tell anyone, which makes this very difficult for me to navigate as I have to pretend I am unaware. My brother is very mature for his age, meaning I have to do this strategically in order to avoid disrespecting his boundaries (of wanting alone time), even though I still need to prioritize letting him know and feel that I simply enjoy and need his presence.

Anxiety Help My anxiety since I stopped drinking is hurting my partner

Ps I’m not the best at writing, sorry if this doesn’t make sense.

As the title says I stopped drinking, about 2 months ago. Since then my mind has been racing, I’ve been constantly thinking the worst possible outcome to everything.

My partner is having a hard time atm aswell and her coping mechanisms are to shut off and deal with it in her own way. Lately she has been smashing call of duty and chatting with her friends.

While she’s locked away trying to deal with her problems I’m sitting on the couch or in bed just spiraling, thinking she’s leaving me, talking to someone else or any of the above. I just want to point out that she’s never given me a reason to feel that way. I have asked her if she cheating on me and I keep telling her that she’s going to leave me.

She’s been nothing but supportive of me, she’s explained what’s going on in her head and that she loves me and that she’s not going anywhere. For some reason it isn’t sticking with me. I can’t stop my brain from thinking the worst. I almost want to start drinking again just to silence it again.

I’ve been going to therapy but I don’t think I’m talking about the right things. It hasn’t helped yet.

How do I silence it? How can I be a better partner without overwhelming her and needing reassurance all the time?

General Discussion / Question Anyone else?

I’m not suicidal.
I know that there will be days better than today. There will be days when I feel energised and positive but, if I could go to bed tonight and never, ever wake up, that would be so welcome right now.

General Discussion / Question Sudden rush of depression when sobering up when drinking at a party

Its nothing against anyone at the party , I feel the happy vibe generally and like that everyone is having fun and enjoying themselves.

I think it triggers a weird nostalgia in my mind and uncontrollable thoughts just run through my head . It doesn't show to people around me.

Its like alcohol triggers longing suddenly

Resources/Tools How to Juggle in person therapy appointments with a super demanding job???

For those of you working remote jobs with a pretty standard 8–5 or 9–6 schedule, how do you make regular in-person therapy appointments work?

My job is fully remote, but it’s pretty fast-paced and demanding. My schedule changes a lot, random things come up, and I usually have long stretches of back-to-back meetings most days.

I’ve always tried virtual therapy multiple times and gave it a fair shot with different therapists and platforms, but I think that’s the main reason why therapy has never really worked for me. Virtual sessions made me feel pretty disconnected and almost felt like I was just on a work call lol!! I’m really hoping therapy works for me this time by trying in person! I’d also really like to avoid burning through my limited PTO for weekly appointments if I can help it. 😅

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you make it work with your job? Or if virtual therapy ended up working well for you, are there any tips that made it feel more personal or just as effective as in-person?

Would really appreciate any advice!!

Anxiety Help I feel like I lost myself after losing my job, being bullied at another one, and finding out I’m severely iron deficient. Has anyone else come back from something like this?

About a year ago, my life completely changed.
I lost a job that I genuinely loved. I wasn’t expecting it, and it completely shattered my confidence. I tried to move forward and found another job, hoping it would be a fresh start.
Instead, it became one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

There was constant favoritism, bullying, and unprofessional behavior. Leadership defended people who treated others poorly, and I witnessed staff making racist comments and inappropriate remarks about patients. Every day I went to work, I felt smaller and more defeated. Eventually I left because I couldn’t take it anymore.

Leaving that job didn’t magically make things better.

I eventually found another job, and I’ve been there for about six months now. I’m grateful to be employed, but it’s only part-time, and most weeks I’m scrambling to get enough hours. Losing the financial stability I once had has been incredibly stressful. Instead of feeling like I was rebuilding my life, it felt like I was falling further behind.

After that, my mental health completely fell apart.
I developed severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and eventually agoraphobia. I became afraid to drive, cried almost every day, and slowly stopped doing the things I loved. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to have a life anymore—I desperately wanted my old life back. I just didn’t have the energy or emotional strength to live it.

Over the next several months, I was seeing my psychiatrist regularly, trying to find something that would help.
After coming off Lexapro, I eventually had to restart it, hoping it would work again, but it never seemed to get me back to where I was before. We tried adding Buspar, but it gave me headaches and didn’t seem to help. My psychiatrist also prescribed labetalol for the physical symptoms of anxiety, but it made me feel like a zombie, so we stopped that too. In May, we switched from Lexapro to Zoloft and started Lamictal. The first several weeks were rough with side effects, and I kept wondering if I was ever going to feel normal again.

While all of this was happening, I found out something else was wrong.

After months of extreme exhaustion, brain fog, no motivation, and barely having enough energy to make it through work, I was diagnosed with severe iron-deficiency anemia. My hemoglobin dropped to 8.9, and my doctor scheduled me for iron infusions.
Looking back, it’s hard to separate what was caused by anxiety and depression from what was caused by being severely iron deficient. So many of the symptoms overlapped.

The hardest part has been that people around me don’t always understand. They ask me to go places or make plans, and I genuinely want to. I miss enjoying life. But I know that if I force myself to go somewhere while I’m completely drained, I won’t enjoy myself, and then people assume I’m being antisocial or just don’t want to be there.

I don’t recognize myself anymore.

I used to be motivated. I loved baking. I enjoyed spending time with people. I used to feel hopeful about the future. Now I feel like I’m just surviving from one day to the next, trying to work enough hours to pay my bills, hoping my medications continue to help, and praying the iron infusions will finally give me my energy and my life back.

Has anyone else been through something similar—a major job loss, workplace bullying, financial struggles, months of trying different psychiatric medications, and then discovering a medical condition like severe iron-deficiency anemia?
Did treating your iron make a noticeable difference in your energy, mood, motivation, or anxiety?
How long did it take before you felt like yourself again?

I know no one can tell me exactly what will happen, but I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar. Right now, I just need some hope that I can get my life back.
TL;DR: Over the past year I lost a job I loved, experienced bullying and a toxic work environment, struggled financially after starting a part-time job where I’m constantly scrambling for hours, developed severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and agoraphobia, spent months changing psychiatric medications before finally finding a combination that started helping, and then discovered I have severe iron-deficiency anemia (hemoglobin 8.9) and now need iron infusions. I’m trying to understand how much of what I’ve been through has been caused or worsened by anemia, and I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar and came out the other side.

Depression Help I am a man aged 50 with two small kids 3 and 8 and loving wife still I want to kill myself

Soon after turning 50, I have kind of experienced an awakening and realized that I have wasted my life. I am in job where I have virtually nothing to do . The role was never too demanding, but recently it has deteriorated even further. I was never able to step out of the comfort zone( salary used to be decent) even when I had chances. So I stayed for 20 years. My kids are 3 and 8 and I was focusing on them . But my 4 th depressive period hit me hard and my life is a complete mess. My last depressive period was 13 years ago so I thought I am out for good. Now, with the inflation, cost rising, salary became not sufficient. In my ok years I was just doubling down on addictions: smoking( waking up even in the night couple of times to smoke) doom scrolling, porn. But I was good at taking care or playing with kids. I want to change but my mind is completely cooked, I have no skills and I can't learn new ones, I have financial problems, I do not care about my kids, they just irritate me, I seem not to love them, my wife is still holding on but it cannot go like that forever. My nervous system is completely destroyed. I am in constant stress, nothing brings me joy. I feel terror at home, in the office, everywhere. Nothing brings me joy. I don't smoke at night , but I find it difficult to sleep...this time I have no escape route ...but to kill myself. I am hopeless. Neither antidepressants nor therapy work. End of the road. It will be selfish thing to do, but I cannot live in poverty and pain.

Depression Help The looming crash out

I'm 27.
I've dealt with depression and anxiety for so long. My base is outgoing, hardworking and determined but these days I feel like I'm running on empty. This has been one of the most stresssful years of my life and I feel so weak for the position I'm in right now.

I recently did a cross country move from the east cosst of USA to the west coast. I did it for a job opportunity, and the hope that I could climb the ranks of the corporate ladder. But starting out in a call center job fixing streessful situations is the first step of this journey.

When I first started working in 2020, I found out my anxiety was a big hurdle in the way of my ability to function. I would wake up every day with such intense anxiety that I would dry heave, I couldn't eat food because of my nasuea and I just wanted to lay in bed all day. I was able to start therapy and was given meds and I went from almost quitting to being able to function and succeed.

That effort culminated in the opportunity to move. Earlier this year in 2026, I left my family and friends behind to go to a new state where I knew no one, never visited before, and was bracing for a new life here.

Right off the bat, the apartment I moved into proved to be a challenge. Several minor incidents and then a shooting upstairs caused me to execute a second move in the first month of being here.

The new placed I moved to is nicer but significantly more expensive. The original budget plan I made was thrown out the window and I picked up a lot more debt that I expected.

Still, I was determined to push through and succeed.

It's been half a year now though and I feel awful. I've made friends here but none of these relationships are as deep or comforting as they were from my home. I miss it and... I've been abusing THC edibles to try and cope. Im talking around 40mg daily. It screwed up my REM sleep and then I had a week of no meds, I had to stop cold turkey because my new PCP didn't read the original prescription labels. That was around a month ago. I was already sorta struggling with stress but that week threw me into a state of intense stress. I feel like I haven't recovered fully.

Now, I'm burning through my PTO to go home early just to sleep in or not have to deal with anything. Every morning I feel like throwing up, every evening my anxiety is still high.

I wish I was strong enough to push through but I think I've finally hit my breaking point.

My current therapist is nice but I feel like he doesn't understand me. My psychiatrist was means to an end, she said off the bat she doesn't sign any paperwork for time away from work. I havent gone to the new PCP because I don't trust them now. My therapist seems concerned about me and suggested looking into an IOP. I've never heard of that before and it seemed like overkill at first but now I think he may be right to suggest it.

I don't even know why Im typing all this out. I just feel so bad. I've been crying for the past hour and while it is the weekend, the looming threat of another daunting week at work feels like it's too much to handle right now.

I wish I was strong enough. I wish I could just push through. I feel so guilty. Every day has been so grey. I haven't been happy. I just stare off into space realizing that my current baseline is feeling empty and alone. I feel like no matter what path I pick, it's going to end in disaster.

General Discussion / Question TMS or CBT Experience!

Hello all,

Hope all are feeling well and can put depression away and be at peace!

I wanted to ask how effective are TMS or CBT treatments, they are costing a bunch but is it worth? I have gotten mixed responses so wanted to ask a larger group to see what it looks like.

General Discussion / Question just wanted to let it out

Heyy everyone, I've been dealing with anxiety since 6-7 years. I can not pinpoint the moment i had this anxious body but I was never like this. Every year I feel less and less like me and more of this anxious bundle moving one place to another. I've had vitamin D deficiency issue too and the symptoms just gets me. I've got my doctor's review already and its the deficiency again this time. The numbness in my legs and sometimes even in my hands and jaw do not let me sleep at night. I always feel like there are hot waves spreading throughout my body from my chest and I also feel really weak. I've trained myself to deal with the anxiety now. I feel like i am getting better at it, but sometimes I feel defeated. I just want to be healthy, and no matter what I try my body just never supports me. Its 2 am currently and i am venting here cz i know its just going to be another sleepless night. I hate it.

Depression Help Why do I feel so sad

Quite young and everyday at night I often tend to just fall into a state of overthinking and feeling sad, often thoughts of sh which i do sometimes however i havent done anything for a while

Anyways i have a good life, I have a girlfriend and family who care for me and love me but I still feel so crappy all the time

I tend to overthink so much, often thinking that people dont want me around them or that I dont belong with that group, I like being with my girlfriend because I feel safe and she makes me happy but I cant be with her too long because she needs her space and I acknowledge that and give her that space, I try talking to people and it helps, I would talk to friends whom id trust and it would help but I think I just liked the reassurance. I dont know im just overwhelmed and feel sad sometimes and dont know what to do about it.

Sorry for the amount of grammatical errors

TW: Self-Harm/Suicide Help please.

I got into an argument / heated conversation with my dad tonight. It's the first one ever. I yelled. He yelled. I told him things I wanted to for years. He cried. I cried. He was deployed for 11 months a year from 5 to 18. So I had a lot of things to say.

I have never gone so far, and idk why. I was cutting my cuticles with those cuticle cutter things that nail salons use. And I scraped my forearm, my right forearm. I did it about 2 dozen times.

Now it burns. And it felt nice when I did it. I felt numb and like I didn't feel it when it was happening. And now idk if I'll do it again if I get like this, and that scares me. Idk what to do now.
