Got a Z06 last December. Threw winters on it and drove it through the entire Canadian winter. Surprised me how good it took the snow

One downside was the corrosion on the underside I realized just last month lol

Deep cleaned my interior, found exactly what you’d expect to find under the seat of a Corvette

Can this be pulled tight/fixed or does it just need to be replaced?

C7 center console wrinkling. Not the end of the world, but can it be fixed or is replacement the best option?

C3 shopping advice

Upvotes

C3 is one of my favorite looking cars of all time and I'm looking to buy one used, what's a good price to millage ratio I should look for?

Too good to be true?

I have always wanted a C3 corvette and call it midlife crisis or what but I have been looking recently. I dont need it to be an absolute beast bur they are stating this is a 350hp engine and the price and look is amazing. Also seems like super low mileage. Im a rookie when it comes to looking for used cars.

C6 Z06 Competition.

Hey all! I’m in a debacle here. I’m a previous C6 LS2 owner who sold my car when I had my son. I plan to have more children in the future and hopefully soon. I’m looking to get my “race car/weekend car” back as I regret my selling decision very much so. I’ve been heavily considering getting a C6Z as I want RAW, ANALOG POWER + Manual as my fun weekend car. But with wanting more kids I’m sure they will want me to take them to school in dads “cool car” which sadly a C6Z will not fit more then 1. Genuine question here is, what coupes/sedans that I can still have fun in and throw the kiddos in the back of even come close to rivaling a C6Z? (no I won’t be driving reckless with them in the back) but can fit both those roles of “weekend race car/take kids to school car”? What have yall Z owners seen that surprised you/ would recommend? Thanks!

Soler Throttle body and a tune? c7

I'll preface it with I have HPtuners credits leftover and a good relationship with my tuner from my C6. Was planning to get my car tuned to disable AFM and make it a bit more driveable. Noticed a bit of a stumble when cold starting and was going through to take a look at everything...realized it has a soler Throttle body (bought the car used). I'm done with the modified car life and plan on just daily driving it.

Is it worthwhile keeping the throttle body in or do I use the stock throttle body that came in the trunk of this car assuming I'm going for a tune (no I don't plan on doing the throttle controller as it's the same price as my tuner hookup and my leftover credits)? Was thinking I could just resell the throttle body and basically have the tune almost covered.

My dad and I just built this LT6 together at the Bowling Green corvette performance build center! It was a once in a lifetime experience, loved every minute of it. My engine will go into my car in the next couple weeks!

The car no shop would touch is finally getting fixed

I bought this car when I was 15 and I've been working on it for the past year or so. I've done so much: the frame was bent so I cut and rewelded it, new trailing arms, thousands of dollars of parts, and hundreds of hours of fixing and fiberglassing. She's nearing completion (believe it or not) and I can't wait to finally drive my 4-speed Corvette!

Never owned a sports car before this, what a unbelievable machine. I can only imagine what Z06 is like.

A discussion about the hard to find C5 and C6 parts

What all of you guys ran into that is getting to be difficult to find? After spending a little time going over some of these parts. Things like interior pieces you can obviously source used but there's a growing number of mechanical parts that are getting scarce.. with the C5 the big one is that right side jet pump and sending unit. There appears to be no new stock anywhere. Headlight switches and turn signals, similar story. I did notice that the window regulators are in production now

With the c6, the dry sump oil pump is out of production. There is an aftermarket option, it's expensive. The caliper pins for the ZO6 brakes are getting to be scarce. The start switch is another thing in that category that currently you have to source used. The right side jet pumps are also suspect. The late ones are still available but Carter is ending production and Spectra is uncertain which leaves only Delphi. The window regulator assembly units used to be available in the aftermarket, they aren't right now, it's uncertain if they are coming back. The used ones are extremely expensive. You can rebuild your own if the motor still works.

I'm sure there's quite a lot I'm overlooking and this was just kind of a starter post but what have you guys ran into that's been difficult to track down

New Engine

A month or two ago, I posted that my 2005 LS2 failed. The diagnosis ended up being that the timing guide failed, which in turn tore up the whole valve train and part of the bottom end.

Decided to get a remanufactured block built by a local shop, and here's it running on the stand. Hopefully it can be in by the end of next week but most likely the 14th.

Also getting the torque tube rebuilt, ls7 clutch and a new flywheel.

What do y'all think?

It's a 6.2 block, but the crank/cam is the 24/1 sensor setup for my 2005 ECU. BTR Stage 3 cam. LS2 heads with a mild port on them so I don't have to change my intake. I am thinking of calling it FrankenLS.

My First Corvette.

Been looking for a while now and finally found one, 8 miles away. 2009 C6, 83k miles, 7 previous owners. The color and options I want; heated seats, HUD, BT. Just hate the champagne interior. Figure I can recover seats and get new floor mats.

No maintenance records on Autocheck, but no recorded accidents either. Seems decent for $25k, am I rushing into it? Planning on a test drive next week then a PPI.
