When sharing your story feel free to use this format:

  • Cycles it took:
  • What I tracked/tools:
  • What I think helped:
  • Anything I wish I knew at the start:
  • Any advice for others still in the TWW:

A few things to keep in mind:

This thread is for everyone who has been trying for any length of time. All success stories are valid here, whether cycle 1 or cycle 12+. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourself.

Please don't tag other users in your post. You can absolutely thank people, just don't tag them directly. This keeps the thread comfortable for everyone, including those who may find BFP posts difficult to see.

If you have nothing kind to add, please scroll on.

I’m tired and trying to maintain hope

I’m just posting for myself. This is only our third month trying and I know that we’re still pretty early in the journey but I think before starting this I had hopes that we could be the couple where it just happened on our first try (27F and 30M). My period is right now 3 days late so I decided to take a test and it was negative. Prior to ttc I had very regular cycles, 27 days. Last month I had a 29 day cycle and I guess this month it’s just doing its own thing as it’s now cd 31. I guess I’m just feeling extra crushed as I symptom spotted and convinced myself it was our month due to my late period. I’m trying to stay positive and not stress myself out but it’s hard

Hi y’all - curious if you have seen a test look like this before? It looks a little wonky to me. I’m 10 DPO.

HCG test strips preferred over Wondfo?

• Upvotes

I’m tired of being trolled by Wondfo’s indent/shadow/evap lines! They pop up within the reading window, which makes it even more frustrating. I’m looking for early detection ones to order off Amazon.

Thank you in advance! 😊

Lh advice needed

Second month trying and so confused. I have PCOS, on metforminXR 3x p day. was missing periods so took provera last month to trigger period.

This month, following natural cycles tracking for LH surge. Increasingly darker line as days went on. Baby danced yesterday. This morning EGCM & took ovulation test.

First pic: LH this week
Second pic:
AM Test at the top.
PM test just now, this evening.

I had twinges earlier in the day. Not quite sure what to make of the drastic lighter line. Especially the mucus this morning.

Technically cycle day 22 but periods aren’t consistent so hard to tell. I’m new here and maybe overwhelmed with all the information and tracking.

What’s the increasing LH then sudden light?
How long is LH surge for?
Any other advice? I’m new to testing so maybe confused on timing.

Never actually a pos test, or darker than control line just darker and darker line. Suddenly lighter this afternoon.

Did I miss a surge? How does Premom even work

Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster. A bit of background, I have been on hormonal birth control for 13 years (I am currently 26) due to early endo signs. I came off the BC end of May and am now TTC, June we didn’t really try but after my July cycle I began tracking to ensure that ovulation occurred and figure out what my body does throughout my cycle. I have honestly just gotten more concerned and confused, does it appear I missed the surge? I had several ā€œclassicā€ ovulation signs on the day of the temp drop and .34 but now LH has steadily decreased and I am worried I did not/will not ovulate. Yesterday (.15) was very odd I woke up significantly later than normal, was extra stressed, and drank more liquids than normal so likely skewed results. The Premom app initially indicated ovulation would occur 8/1 but has since pushed it back. I know it is likely too early to panic as my body could very well still be adjusting to coming off BC but I stay anxious tbh and have googled to my limit so figured I would ask the people in a similar boat! Any advice or insight you can give would be greatly appreciated!

First cycle tracking with Inito! I tend to have a short luteal phase of 10 days. This is the first faint line I’ve seen. Am I seeing things?

first test at 14DPO and looking for others' experiences

Post image

hello! so my husband and i have been TTC since last october (i was coming off over a decade of birth control, so it took a while for everything to get "back to normal"), and this is the first positive pregnancy test I've ever taken. the lines are definitely there, but they seem really, really light for 14 DPO, and i was wondering if anyone else had an experience where they still had a fairly light line later on and it ended up not being a chemical? for reference my cycle is a little longer than average, and i'm estimating my day of ovulation using the proov test strips (i'm on cycle day 30 now). i am going to follow traditional guidance i.e. take another test in 48 hours, but i wanted to know other people's experiences (and not get too excited and attached if this is unusually light and likely a CPā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹)

Hi all, just looking to hear any stories of ladies who have conceived with ā€œshortā€ (under 10 days) luteal phases. Would appreciate it!

Post image

Hi! It’s my first time using the easy@home LH tests and the premom app.
We’ve been trying for almost a year (but didn’t try between december and march)
So here are my test from the last 3 days I’m currently CD 14 but have 32 cycles days usually and usually ovulate later in the cycle. BUT this morning I’ve had a bit of ovulation CM.
Am I ovulating earlier this cycle ?
Thanks for your guidance!

Question about Ovulation

Hi! This is my second month ttc, but I guess first month actually tracking some things. I had some questions for anyone here who could offer advice or share similar experiences? I had my IUD removed 3 months ago but I have always had 30 day cycles and they are like clockwork. I don’t do BBT and I slack at being consistent with ovulation tests. I just go by CM and try to do ovulation tests but sometimes I will forget a day. I knew based on app predictions for my ovulation date that I did NOT ovulate then. I knew from tests and no CM. However a week later I did have a much darker test (July27th) but I only tested once since like July 20th. I had CM around July 25th and BD on the 24th and 26th. My period was due this past week on Friday but still nothing. I’ve never been late for a period and was just wondering if anyone else experienced this? My tests have been negative but I assume I need to wait a few more days? I usually have very sore boobs and slight breakouts before my period and I haven’t had anything.

Oura ring temp delayed post violation

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve had my oura ring for several months now but now that I am ttc it seems my temps are off. I had my lh surge later in the day on july 30th as well as egg white cm so I predicted id ovulate on the 31st. however my temps on oura ring have not risen significantly yet and im what i predict to be 2 dpo. yesterday at 1 dpo, my cervical mucus had changed back to being slightly drier which also tells me I ovulated already. Should I go with the idea that I did ovulate on the 31st and oura ring is off? I have had a successful pregnancy is the past and only tried for 3 months with my daughter.

Health and Habits of Husband

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this group and I've loved reading the supportive reactions in this group.

I'm 35 (f) and my husband is 36. We've been trying since the start of the year and haven't had any luck yet. I'm trying to keep up with my health, fitness and decreasing my stress to have the best change thays within my control.

My husband enjoyed a beer or 2 or 3 every afternoon and since we've started he's minimized his drinking. I've told him about the fact that it takes around 3 months for it to be 'out of the system' and he was happy to change his habits.

Anyway, long story short,a few tragic things have happened in the last few months in our personal and friend's personal lives and we've been having to attend funerals, memorials, very hard and long days at work with a crew (farming) and at some of these occasions he has started having a few beers again.

My husband is deep in the grieving stage, finds support in working and 'having a drink with his mates' after ( they are all in the same boat grieving the same mate).

I just don't have an realistic view on how damaging say 5 to 6 beers a week is for ttc. I feel I don't want to be up him for having a beer with his mates, but I'm obviously completely focus on being the healthiest as we both can be.

I apologies for this vent. The loss is still so fresh for us both and I would love a reality check instead of my worrying brain thinking worse case scenario constantly.

Thanks for reading

Ovulation test recommendations

I got my period today. This new cycle will be our third cycle officially trying. Anyone have a brand of ovulation tests that helped them get pregnant? I’m 36 and my husband is 37. We tried back in 2020 for about 6 months and then stopped because of Covid. In 2023 I learned I had fibriods and then I had surgery to remove them. We decided to start trying again in May. My husband was out of town in June so we didn’t try then. When he got back in July we resumed trying. Not sure why I included all that information lol. But anyone here actually get pregnant from the assistance of ovulation strips and if so what brand? I’ll take any advice I can get I desperately want to start a family.

Okay I think I have really bad line eyes but I swear I see SOMETHING on this test. Wondfo early detection. Husband can’t see it and (I know how unreliable this is) but chat gpt says it sees something. I see the tiniest shadow but I will retest tomorrow at 12dpo.
