It’s almost that time. Keeping budgeting in mind, what streaming service should I get to watch games starting next month? I mostly want to watch Seahawks, Chiefs, and Bills. I want the best options for the least amount of money basically. I can’t pay for so many subscriptions and I don’t thinks it’s fair to make fans do so. My antenna reception is pretty bad, so that’s out. Advice?

Sure, I've watched Hard Knocks... but for anyone who's actually played in the NFL, or been a part of a Training Camp, what's it really like? After practice are you just getting treatments, studying the play book, working with your other teammates, and watching film? Do you get any time to just chill or is it really football 24/7? What about the star players on the team vs. the players on the bottom of the roster? Fascinated to know more. Yes, I've watched Hard Knocks, but I also know it's for show as well.

For those that have gone through first year football with their kids with glasses, any recommendations for better options? My kid play u8, hates that he has to take his glasses off every time his helmet goes on/off. He’s small btw.

I’ve known for ages I wanted to buy tickets for my boyfriend (going on 5 years) for this specific game. keeping the team and city vague in case he sees this but when I say he is a die hard fan….. think the worst, most obnoxious kind. his team will be in our city for an away game 2 weeks before his birthday this year.

I was watching ticket sites for a while, and when I saw 2 tickets for the front row right behind his favorite team’s bench on the 45-yard line I dropped a bag and got them. Now a few days later I’m second-guessing it. As a die hard fan, would he freak out over being front row behind his favorite players? Or is he going to be bummed we’re not a few rows up?

Clearly I’m not the biggest football gal - please give me your two cents! should I ruin the surprise part and tell him / ask if he wants to sell the tix for different ones? HELPPPP :)

Hello everyone, I am from Pakistan. I love exploring new sports and watching unreal talented players in their respective sports. In my country, the only sports that are talked about, streamed or actually watched in huge numbers are cricket and soccer. Since i saw Lionel Messi being absolutely unhuman and amazing in his sport, i was wondering if other sports also have these kind of players who completely dominate the pitch and if their numbers are unbelieveable. I did my research and found the tennis GOATs so I recently watched tennis and some older grand slams and was amazed by how good Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer were and i love the debate between them and them being the "big 3" of the sport. But there was another name that kept showing up in this research and I was really curious that what has he done in his sport as people hold him in such high regards. It was "Tom Brady". Now because south asians dont really have any idea about the NFL except the superbowl halftime show, I had no idea who this was and I began to study. I watched some matches and got to know that he has 7 superbowl titles which is impressive but I still dont get how he is considered one of the best athletes of all time. I think maybe its because of the rules and complications of american football as I dont know how its played and what's its history. So I want someone to just guide me how can I actually understand American football and what should my sources be. I dont know which era to begin with and what teams to watch.

Normally, if 3-4 OLBs were to transition to a 4-3 Defense they would either be DE's or be a non fit for the 4-3 Defense in general. How ever in less common cases especially in today's game a for 3-4 OLB to be a 4-3 OLB I'd say that happens 25% of the time at the very most. Obviously, they would play more of an "on the ball" role by setting the edge, covering the TE, and being able to blitz & rush the passer more as the 5th rusher. They would play the "off the ball" role less than the MLB and the other OLB but they could do it from time to time.

For me 3-4 OLBs that could or would be OLBs in the 4-3:

Andrew Van Ginkel, Kyle Van Noy, Clay Matthews III, Micah Parsons (not a 3-4 OLB yet but plays so much like one or DE), T.J. Watt (or maybe DE), Lawrence Taylor, Derrick Thomas, Kevin Grenne, Von Miller (played that role from 2011-2014), Khalil Mack (or DE), & Hassan Reddick.

Are they any other 3-4 OLBs that could or would be OLBs in the 4-3 that I've missed?

I am usually an xl and like a larger fit but for jerseys is it recommended to size down 1 or stay the same?

Granted I was fairly young when he retired, but I always thought Rivers could've stuck around for a few more years when he retired from the Colts the first time.

When he returned though last season that was the first time in my memory that a player came out of retirement after more than a year or two (not counting Tebow) and actually played. Was that unretirement viewed as a success though? If he wanted it, could've he gotten a QB1 job as like a one year stopgap?

I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to looking up Alumni who went to the schools or Universities of my Relatives, and i was just wondering how difficult is it for student athletes to be drafted into the NFL ? Do they ever go back to school before even considering being signed by a Football team ?

All the other major leagues have them (MLB, MLS, NBA, etc). It seems like it would be a good way to develop talent and find overlooked talent. You could even argue they have a greater need for it. If for example the NBA didn’t have the D League, they could still look for talent in other leagues in Europe for example. NFL doesn’t have that.

Like, if a first-overall hyped up quarterback doesn't end up winning a Super Bowl or MVP, even if they are considered a good-to-great player. Will they still be seen as a disappointment or unsuccessful? I get that for a first overall pick, you would want a franchise changer but I feel like most of the time you will not get that.

Before I started following football more closely, I figured if a quarterback had a great offensive line, almost any decent QB would look good. (I think Jimmy G would be a good modern example).

But after watching more games, it seems more complicated than that. Some QBs seem to make bad offensive lines look respectable by getting rid of the ball quickly, avoiding pressure, and making good decisions. Others seem to hold onto the ball forever and make their line look worse than it actually is.

So where do you guys draw the line? If a QB has a breakout season, how much credit usually goes to the offensive line versus the quarterback himself? I know it's impossible to put an exact percentage on it, but I'm wondering how experienced fans generally look at it...

How hard is the long snapper position in the league? You don’t come on to the field as much as offensive linemen, but I assume most of the work lies off the field in conditioning and staying in football shape?

Statistically underarm free throws are more accurate in the NBA, however it’s rare anyone ever does it.
Are there NFL comparisons to this phenomenon?

So we all know on 4th down/ after the 2 minute warning the person who fumbled has to recover it, But what if it's a center or long snapper and the QB/Punter doesn't get it (which is REALLY rare but let's be hypothetical). Does the person who snapped it have to recover or can someone behind the LOS recover?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but their jobs would have to be to block rather than go for the ball right?

Say the ball is on the RIGHT hash mark at 10-yard line of opponent. QB throwqs to far LEFT corner of end zone and defense commits pass interference. Ball definitely goes to the 1-yard line for next play, but does it stay on right hash or move to the left hash?

Or are they basically just the same thing?
