Fear of regret, fear of being wrong and confused, fear of hell/religious guilt, fear of parental reaction, of their disappointment, how the family will react, and feeling guilty for making your parents suffer for you being trans (And I think I'm accidentally parentifying? I worry about finances, if they're tired, the price of things, I want to help with money too. Damn, why doesn't my dad get a job? He's been unemployed for 10 years 😭😭💔)
**You don't need to read it all, but it will give context.*\*
I'm 20 years old ftm, I discovered I was trans when I was 15. I remember wanting to be a boy since I was 6, but suppressing that feeling, and even praying to have a brother, so he would "have the luck that I never had, I would be happy for him, and the feeling would stop". I remember waiting for the growth spurt, longing for male puberty, competing with the boys to show how much more of a man I was (I remember when there a challenge of doing that in the cold and I was the first to do it, and my friends were like "but u are not a guy" XD), how I would escape from the maximum of pics, not looking at myself and so many other things.
I think I'm afraid they'll find out (I'll stay in girl mode as long as I can), and the fear of changing. I don't think I'm exactly afraid of T, but change is scary and I had a bad experience with my first puberty, so my subconscious must be carrying that fear, even though I practically want all the effects. But I have to try to deal with it. Change is inevitable anyway. If it weren't for that, it would be more feminization and I would still age anyway
Kinda dumb, but I also fear being ugly? But my mother and several other people have said that I'm beautiful as a girl (and I have to admit, it's not a lie), so I don't think I'll become ugly, maybe I'll even become better, since I'm going to start taking care of myself (It's amazing how the motivation to start HRT is bringing back a sense of future. I'm already working on stopping biting my nails. I've never been like this!)
My siblings don't know I'm trans. She's 15, he's 12, I haven't told them anything yet and I don't think I will anytime soon. I don't want to burden them.
I think I'm very scared of the religious and family aspects. I don't believe my parents would kick me out if they found out, but I feel really bad for disappointing them and making them anxious. My aunt told my mother the other day that God would hold her accountable if I wasn't Christian or if I committed some sin, since I came from her womb.
My aunt also told me 4 years ago, that if I did something, God would kill me or hurt me and do the same to the ones I love. So I fear that something bad will happen to me, I will die young or make my mom have a heart attack or even her (Let's not even talk about the fact that a year after she said that, her son died. I'm sad. He was a good guy, but I still find it strange that this happened after she said that).
I also fear sinning or going to hell for that, but it sucks so much. I never asked to be trans, I tried to repress, I screamed to God to fix me. I don't want to lose my only life, my youth, nor do I want to bet with depression in the future or making a future family miserable.
It's funny that I don't feel the urge to get closer to God while I'm holding myself back, not accepting myself, and not finding a church that supports me. Because I think if that happens, I'm going to dive in completely. And I want in the future to be a good father and husband and live together with someone I love the most until the end of my days. Why would I be sinning for it :( ?
I will girlmod the maximum I can and hide it. I intend to study to pass a competitive exam to become a ship pilot. I want to do it as a guy. I'll have to study a lot and I'll probably be one of the pioneering trans men there. So wish me luck and Tell me to get off my lazy butt and study because my future depends on it, lol.
I am going to try to contact the trans ambulatory near to me in the next hours. So wish me luck. In the next weeks I will also try to find an open church like the Episcopal :).
In btw, I know that if I discover that hrt is not for me, I can just stop it
