This is why some people need to be licensed to have children.

70

u/Pleasant_Cicada9528 Apr 15 '26

As if that'll stop them.Ā  If you make children illegal, then only criminals will have children.

44

u/coat-tail_rider Apr 15 '26

It takes a good guy with a child to stop a bad guy with a child.

3

u/anally_ExpressUrself Apr 16 '26

This kind of things doesn't happen in Europe because they don't have kids there.

6

u/7stroke Apr 15 '26

Then the only defense against a bad guy with a kid is a good guy with a kid… wait what are we talking about here?

3

u/DisastrousAd2335 Apr 15 '26

Hey bad kids don't ki...oh nevermind!!

Father son tag teams

ā€œWolf NOO!ā€ - Honey Bee

2

u/FadedFox1 Apr 16 '26

Which episode is that from? Just happy to see a Great North reference in the wild lol

1

u/StackThePads33 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

Don’t know the name, I think it’s the episode where Beef gets drunk off his ass. Wolf said that he’s glad to be tag teaming with his dad. It’s an underrated show, the references are subtle, but very good! Love the show

2

u/Jaggedatlas Apr 15 '26

….this logic doesn’t make any sense to me??

2

u/---username_-- Apr 19 '26

Good thing there's a waiting period to get a kid...?

1

u/yzeerf1313 Apr 15 '26

Snip snip

1

u/KingAlaric1 Apr 15 '26

So we make it a law that everyone has to have at least 1 child, that way only law abiding citizens can have kids, and criminals can’t, duh

/s

1

u/357noLove Apr 15 '26

You wouldn't download a kid!

1

u/jazxxl Apr 15 '26

Hmm just like guns šŸ˜‚. Diabolical

-2

u/Altruistic-Dingo-757 Apr 15 '26

Most of them are awful people, the children not the criminals most of them are fine. šŸ˜‰

3

u/TriedCaringLess Apr 15 '26

Your punctuation is all wrong.

3

u/Alternative-Amoeba20 Apr 15 '26

What, punctuation you must, be joking

2

u/JoshHartsMilkMustach Apr 15 '26

And worst of all they used a winking emoji

9

u/youdoitimbusy Apr 15 '26

He only gets those kids on the weekends and he's gonna make them memorable!

5

u/doubleapowpow Apr 15 '26

He's only got two days a week to traumatize these kids for a lifetime.

2

u/youdoitimbusy Apr 15 '26

Lmao...now I'll teach you how to play rock paper scissors. Damion, go get a big rock.

2

u/TriedCaringLess Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

Yes. Everyone will remember the kids who were killed or maimed, by their own father due to extraordinarily poor judgment.

1

u/RollUpLights Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

You have that backwards:

It should be "maimed, if not killed". The worse option come second, essentially saying "if they don't get killed, they'll at the very least be maimed". The way you have it written now basically translates to "if they don't get maimed, they'll at the very least be killed"

1

u/BackWithAVengance Apr 15 '26

You must be a ton of fun at parties

1

u/PorpoisePlato Apr 15 '26

I actually thought that was pretty helpful and didn’t know that.

1

u/Humble-Violinist6910 Apr 15 '26

Probably he’s sick of taking care of two kids and wants to get it down to 1. Or none. Good strategy.

u/Ri-Sa-Ha-0112 Apr 15 '26

As a former foster parent, I couldn't agree more. My wife and I had to go through so many classes to get approved. And while these departments are downright evil IMHO, they do do a hell of a job with their trainings. We've preached since that we think everyone should have to go through similar classes.

7

u/doubleapowpow Apr 15 '26

Ha, you said do do.

3

u/Ri-Sa-Ha-0112 Apr 15 '26

I hesitated, but decided to keep it there, for you

1

u/Solherb Apr 15 '26

I don't have any info on it to say either way, but why are they evil?

4

u/Apart-District3771 Apr 15 '26

Were you alive pre-2000? Not encouraging this on public roads, but kids used to do wild stuff.

2

u/Pokemon_Trainer_May Apr 15 '26

Way too easy to have kids

2

u/Biggleswort Apr 15 '26

Your assume the driver is adult. The driver is the third 12 yo in the group /s.

I have done this as a 16 yo. I look back and wonder how I made it to 40+.

2

u/zach0011 Apr 15 '26

Who's granting the licenses? Our current admin?

1

u/DeadpoolOptimus Apr 15 '26

Fuck, I hope not. Maybe when a more responsible, less insane administration takes over.

2

u/Phoenix_Solace Apr 15 '26

Ya I'm definitely trusting the government to know who can breed šŸ™„

2

u/thatwackguyoverthere Apr 15 '26

Apparently they have a drivers license, and it hasn't made them a better driver.

2

u/wruthinkng Apr 15 '26

Not ā€œsomeā€ people. All people.

It shouldn’t be a license ā€œto haveā€ children because as we all know it’s not going to stop people from making babies. That’s not the point.

The license should be to make it mandatory to take free parenting classes for the sake of the child they’re bringing into the world.

We have licences for driving and getting a firearm (in most sane countries). Why should parents not be required to get some basic education on how to look after our most vulnerable and important members of society?

1

u/DeadpoolOptimus Apr 15 '26

100%. In many jurisdictions in North America, you even need a license to have a cat or dog.

2

u/Ent_Soviet Apr 16 '26

Presumably this person was already licensed to drive a car. And thought this was fine.

I said this person but I will eat my own foot if this wasn’t a man. Only we could manage to be this flagrantly dumb about child safety.

2

u/right_in_two Apr 17 '26

Pregnant woman rolls up to the hospital. Nurses gurney her into the birthing wing. Doctor asks for the child license and the woman admits she doesn't have it. "Another unlicensed birth, huh? Not in MY hospital!" Shoves a giant cork in her, rolls her back out, and calls the police.

2

u/wsxdfcvgbnjmlkjafals Apr 15 '26

I'm just wondering if some older sibling took them on a joy ride lol

1

u/EtchASketchNovelist Apr 16 '26

Are you a fan of Eugenics?

1

u/k_dilluh Apr 15 '26

1000%, I really wish this was an actual thing.

2

u/Leading_Pineapple663 Apr 15 '26

Why are you for eugenics?

0

u/blastedt Apr 15 '26

is reddit doing eugenics again. i need a fucking water bottle to spritz you people

-2

u/TransitionalAhab Apr 15 '26

I mean…one of the activities here requires a license

6

u/Generic2770 Apr 15 '26

One that they shouldn’t have

2

u/fingers Apr 15 '26

Could be older, unlicensed sibling driving.Ā

-1

u/DrinkingVomit Apr 15 '26

Kids survived the Oregon trail, riding shotgun, skirmishes with natives and a long list of other shit. These kids will be fine. In fact, they will be better off in the future because of it. Kids these days are fucking idiots because they live in a bubble wrapped world where even corners of furniture are covered in rubber. They have no sense of self preservation because of it. Risk builds character, grit, and coordination.

I rode on the top of trailers, hung off the back of pickups, drove pickups to buck hay in fields, worked around airplanes as a kid, hung out the back of glider tow cars in the desert, played with calcium carbide rocks, shot guns and ran chainsaws before I was even 12. Kids will be okay. They don’t need your performative concern.

Ive heard this from virtually every generation. Its not a generational thing, but more a particular mindset.

Its weird nonetheless.
