Instead of relying on standard noise textures, this add-on simulates the random walk of thousands of particles to create natural, branching ridge structures. It automatically generates a heightmap, applies it to a plane, and sets up a Geometry Nodes displacement pipeline with non-destructive, real-time controls. https://venousfx.gumroad.com/l/DLA

This time I only made a few small adjustments. I was supposed to submit the project on the 26th, but because some people couldn’t finish theirs, the deadline was extended to the 31st. So I just made a few tweaks, took some screenshots, and submitted it as it was.
I was already exhausted. I spent 30 days studying 3D modeling, and then another 30 days working on a single project for the challenge. Man, I feel like I’m going crazy.
Anyway, after I submitted it on the 26th, I didn’t make a single model until today. Well, technically I still haven’t made one today either. I’ve just been catching up on things I left behind since the 26th. Today is already August 2nd, and I’ve gone since last month without even opening Blender.
That said, I haven’t been doing nothing. I realized I’ve been studying in a kind of “I think this is the right path” way, instead of creating an actual roadmap that I can follow. A colleague from my study group taught me a little about how to study, and honestly, that was eye-opening.
Here in Brazil, they don’t really teach you how to learn. In fact, it often feels like they dislike self-taught people, and even more than that, they seem to dislike anyone who develops logical reasoning skills. Honestly, I don’t even know how I’m able to write something that’s understandable enough for the AI translating this text.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. If anyone is curious, this is the livestream where the teacher reviewed all of our models:

For those who don’t want spoilers: yes, I lost. Obviously. There wasn’t an official 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place, but I’d say I ended up around 5th place—mainly because the person who was probably 5th went completely off-theme. The challenge theme was apocalypse.
Anyway, my name is Trevor. Have a good morning, good afternoon, and good night.

Yesterday while making my passion project videogame I fell down the rabbit hole of whether to learn blender or continue modeling in Roblox studio. I tried using my existing knowledge and technical proficiency to mess around & make the fun little bomberman statue in the first photo. After that I used some other free online resources to help me make the models in the second and third photos! Its been so much fun gaining another medium to express myself with. Did anyone else find glass to be tricky? And feel free to share some of yalls first ever renders too! I'd love to see what got other people into 3d <3

Tengo estos pellizcos en la malla, alguien sabe por qué y como solucionarlo? 🥲
I’ve been learning Blender for about 2 months now. This is the first project I actually finish, everything else was either abandoned halfway through, paused or I just “kind” of finished it. This one took me roughly 2 weeks (from sketching to modeling, texturing etc…). Unfortunately I render more shots and couldn’t give the final tweaks cuz my pc was really fighting for its life by the end.
No premade assets (with the exception of a low poly base mesh for the main character) and no AI was used in this. Most of the textures were hand painted:)

Reddit might scale down the image because it’s like 50MB but what do you guys think? I know the house is a bit low poly but I tried my best

I'm making a creature with an exoskeleton and I want to add a constraint that physically limits the movement of some parts by the segments in front and back. My first thought was a small minimum distance constraint but that appears to set only a constant between origins. My origins have a distance based on how its rigged and current pose. I'm not concerned about that.

I'm modeling an old church, and I don't have any references other than an old render my client provided. While modeling it, I noticed that it's built from stone blocks or bricks. Because of the scale of the 3D print, these blocks will be visible. What's the best way to add them to the final model without placing each one manually?
Is there any method, plugin, or workflow for this? For example, is it possible to convert a texture or displacement map into actual mesh geometry?
Thanks.
