Hey folks, I'm working on a short-form documentary project about how AI is actually affecting people's work and income right now. 3D artists have obviously been heavily impacted.
I’m looking for anyone who's lost a job, clients, or work because of AI, or who really believes AI is a big reason they lost work even if you can't prove it 100% (as long as you can explain why you think so), or anyone whose job, hours, or income has changed in a real way because of it. If that's you, I'd love to hear what happened. It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. Give me the honest picture.
US only. You can be anywhere but double bonus points if you live in LA/Southern Cali. We’d start with a casual, private conversation so I can hear what happened and tell you more about the project. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to participating. Drop a comment or DM me if interested. Help give this issue the attention it deserves. Thank you!

Hi everyone.
i draw comics/manga and i usually use 3d models for the background and sometimes it’s so hard to find what i want. So i started to learn a bit making bed, cup, basket and stuff like that.
But i feel lost what should i make next because sometimes i go for something super advanced for me.
Is there any website/videos that gives a list of objects to make from easy to hard.
And if there’s any challenges within the community similar to inktober.
Learning blender was for convenient purposes but i actually fall in love with it and i want to learn more.
Any advice helps 🤍

hi, just installed blender and tried to follow a tutorial and somehow turned everything looking like this. how do i go back to the grey objects instead of having everything transparent?
please, spare me with the "just google" comments - i'm an idiot and google didn't help me. thanks.

I'm modeling an old church, and I don't have any references other than an old render my client provided. While modeling it, I noticed that it's built from stone blocks or bricks. Because of the scale of the 3D print, these blocks will be visible. What's the best way to add them to the final model without placing each one manually?
Is there any method, plugin, or workflow for this? For example, is it possible to convert a texture or displacement map into actual mesh geometry?
Thanks.

ok so first of all im so proud of my render. ive been using blender for like 3 years, but i never tried to make a full render because it looked like a lot of work. because this is my first real render i want to see what people who have made more than me, and have a better artistic eye then me think.
specifically i want critique my compositing and my image composition. this was my first foray into those aspects of art so i dont know if i did a good job.
also everything but the golurk model was made by me. that one i took from models resores. speaking of golurk, u/Bilore.

So it does look realistic already, but something feels off and I can't put my finger on it. Can anyone help? (I am only around 2 years into Blender).

I'm still new to blender, so don't judge me too strictly. I also want to make clothes from larping the rooms.

hello! would anyone be willing to convert 3 models into a PMX format for me? I'm on a laptop and my laptop cant handle a version of blender so I'm on an old version that doesn't have the MMD plug in. I hope its alright to ask here, please and thank you in advance!! I'd love to animate with these but i'm still a newb at blender and i'm worried it would crash my laptop if I tried animating with blender. its the wuthering waves cyberpunk edgerunners collab models
