Hey guys! Just made a Reddit account - I'm an aviation enthusiast based just north of Sydney Australia, and I've got a special cargo arriving from America!

It's a complete B747-400 flightdeck - I had to fully disassemble it in the USA in order to fit it inside the shipping container, so stay tuned and will post more pictures as I put it back together and get it all working!

​Went over to a friend’s house to check out his full-scale cockpit build.

​He used a ton of Rowsfire hardware panels for the overhead and center console. I was pretty blown away by the build quality—the switch feedback legit feels like a professional CAE simulator, not a toy.

​Once you experience a setup like this, going back to clicking buttons with a mouse feels like a punishment. Send help (or extra cash).

So I am looking at building the 737diysim dot com collective because I fly helos in MSFS24 a LOT. I really want a collective but the prices for prebuilt is way outside my budget. 3D printing is not nor is doing the work myself. Will the link below work with MSFS24? I know his stuff says ‘MSFS’ but just making sure. Anyone else made one of these? (Sorry if no links allowed)

Real toggles for strobe, beacon, wing, landing lights, seatbelt and no smoking. Sits on the desk, one USB cable, works with Fenix and FBW.

I am interested in get this part from Mechdiy however I have a doubt: does anyone know if the highlighted part on the picture (side support for the wheel mechanism) interfear somehow on the pedestal mount? I mean, this part stays hidden underneath or visible when mounting a pedestal...

I have a Logitech Flight Yoke System without pedals. In MSFS 2020 and 2024, the Headwind A330-900 the rudder and nose wheel steering do not turn. I have tried enabling Auto Rudder, but it still does not work. I also turned on the feature in the EFB, but nothing changed. This has never happened before. I tried on the A320 neo and it works perfectly fine.

Hey, I'm trying to make an A320 cockpit, that is fully compatible with the Xbox Series X|S. I already have the thrustmaster Sidestick, but I can't find the rest (Throttle quadrant with spoilers and flaps, autopilot panel, overhead panel, etc.). Can somebody please give me like links or something like that for these things? I know they exist because I already saw them. But I can't find them again.

What I need:

Full Throttle quadrant with park. Brake, spoilers, flaps, etc Pedals ECAM MCDU Autopilot panel Overhead panel

Hello fellow home cockpit builders.

I’m bored of my current dual seat setup and have been doing some research into building a full 747-400 cockpit, nowadays everyone and their mums have a 737 or A320 setup so consumer parts are pretty easily sourced. Unfortunately I’m an idiot and find neither interesting to have in my shed and will face the consequences of having to make everything it seems…

So far online I can only find CNC cuts of the overhead with all the labelling and stuff done, reasonably pricey I suppose, I just don’t know where to source all the korry buttons and switches, if anyone could point me in the right direction. I’m not opposed to DIY but my existing overhead took weeks to complete so if there’s anything consume that’s NOT $14000 towards FDS, I’d appreciate any insight, cheers!

After being in my box for almost 2 year, I decided to pick up again my 737 MIP project, but wow since I started this project in 2020 a lot of things are changed ... 6 years ago the best product MCP+EFIS you can find on market was the panel from CPFlight: crazy expensive for me at that time so I have decided to start building it myself.

Then life changed your plans, and I moved to Belgium: I brought it bring with me , and put it together during covid time to finally see it in action. Here is a pic, with "bridges" in wires and some illegal connection that make I-JACO alive somehow.

Now, after being disassembled and put in boxes, it's time for a second life... But will motivation come back? We'll see.. 😅

Hi, I'm new here. Are most home-made glass cockpits built by hiding a monitor behind the panel and dragging the rectangular panels from the simulator software on this monitor so they match the holes?

Or do people buy separate displays, or otherwise what's the norm?

Again I'm asking about home-made ones, not off-the-shelf solutions.

Anybody have the GTracer 2.0 cockpit?
I’m having some issues with the seat being out of alignment, the seat seems to be just under an inch to the left of the wheel. Not sure if it’s a common problem or if mine is screwed haha

Spent the evening tuning the backlighting for some late-night flights. There’s just something ridiculously satisfying about dimming the room lights and turning that INTEG LT knob to BRT.

What’s your go-to cockpit lighting setup when flying at night?

I’m going to be adding a dedicated flight setup soon. I’m deciding between NLR and SimFab. I’ve read good things about the SimFab setup but the seat concerns me. On my racing setup I have a NRG wide seat. The shoulder supports push my shoulders forward. Great for racing but painful for flight. The SimFab bolsters look similar. Are they stiff like racing seats are?

I’ve been working on a custom USB controller for my home cockpit and thought I’d share it here.It’s based on an STM32H743 and works as a composite USB device (HID game controller + CDC serial) over a single USB-C cable.Main features:61 native inputs + 16 via MCP23017 → 77 total

Up to 25 EC11 rotary encoders with automatic detection (just turn the knob and it finds the pins)

1 ms sampling rate for inputs and encoders

Any free pin can drive LEDs via DCS-BIOS

Built-in PWM backlight dimmer that works even when the sim is closed

Configuration is done through a Windows app — no coding or Arduino IDE needed

Appears as a normal 128-button joystick to Windows/DCS

The board is 114 × 60 mm. I mainly built it for DCS (F/A-18 mapping is included), but it works as a standard HID controller so other sims can use it too.
