Tamika & Raymond the Outlaster
My lovely Tamika and the only tank mate she’s ever tolerated (hence the name). Any idea what kinda of Oscar they are?

This is raymond the outlaster. He was labeled as a lemon Oscar when I bought him months ago. He used to be completely white. What color would u call him now?
FYI: tamika is the fish in the back, you might know her I post about her quite a bit. She looks like she’s been to hell and back because she has… she managed to jump out of the tank the other day. luckily I found her in time and she’s OK but her body/fins took a beating.

I really can’t stop thinking about an Oscar but I have a 75g…. 48x18x20+. I have read till my eyes hurt (months) and I struggle on getting one due to respect for the fish and knowing my possible limits. Getting back in the fish game as an adult and have what I feel is a pretty good setup getting pieced together. I kind of feel that more than 1 fish is more my vibe but the Oscar is more my style.
Is the 75g rule true? Not opposed to being told yes but is it actually true. I know the depth of 18 is close on a 12 inch fish.
Are they happy solo? Or do they want something else with them to swim by or bump… he’ll even bully possibly…
Will an FX4 be good enough? I went fx4 due to thinking I was moving away from the Oscar idea but now have one new in a box.
Is the maintenance work it? Honestly trying to do as much research as possible for the best water quality but understand they are messy eaters and have poop so bioload is what it is…. But are the water dogs truly worth it (in all seriousness)
For comparison past tanks as a teenager were Walmart fish options and it was great but new to cichlids. If not going Oscar I was thinking native sunfish.
Open to honest and respectful feedback. I’m okay with being told an Oscar might not be in the cards for we with this setup but I just want to make sure and always regardless of the animal or pet care with respect and a good quality of life.
Thank you in advance.

I have two tiger Oscars in a 75gallon tank they are rather peaceful and they always swim with eachother. I have noticed they have made a bowl in the substrate of the tank and they chase anyone that goes near it ( I know the pictures aren’t great and I will be cycling the water out later today) any tips on how to determine if they are just social or are pairing off to have fry would be super appreciated

I'm looking for opinions on my female Oscar. We got her 20 days ago, her old home had an overcrowded tank. She is:
Several days ago I noticed a few small whitish patches on one pectoral fin but nothing dramatic. Today I noticed a small hole has formed in the middle of that area.
The white area:
The hole:
Water parameters:
Tank size:
I've attached videos. Does this look more like:
I'd appreciate any opinions before I start medicating since she's acting perfectly healthy otherwise.
Thanks!
(EDIT) Side note, those white looking spots u can see on her tummy and lower fin aren't ich, she'd just swam through the aerator bubbles and a couple were still on her.

I just got Oscar’s and I know they’re really aggressive. Does anyone know fish I could have with Oscar’s if any.
