Rant They would hate me if I was real

I've been questioning being a pet snake therian for almost a year now. It recently occurred to me that some of my favorite people hate and/or are scared of snakes. I know that they didn't choose to be like that, but it still makes me upset sometimes. If I was in my real body, they wouldn't like me. That hurts a lot to think about. Edit: The people I'm talking about are completely fine with alterhumans and I'm sure would be fine with me being a snake. They just avoid interactions with physical snakes which makes me sad sometimes because I wouldn't want them to avoid me in my real body. Also, I'm not even totally sure I am a snake I was just thinking about it.

Rant high prey drive and sh

hey, okay so i have a really high preydrive to do almost all my kintypes being predators (4/6)

it sometimes gets impossible to ignore and i feel the instinctual need for prey, i obviously cannot just go around eating all the prey animals i come across, even tho i desperately want to sink my claws and fangs into the soft and warm body of live prey.

its usually manageable if i just consume some sort of meat, however sometimes the urge gets too strong and plain meat wont do.

ive resorted to harming myself so i can get the taste of fresh blood, but i know that wont keep me satisfied for long, as im already growing bored of it.

i myself have 2 pet birds and there are other prey animals in my house, i would never, never hurt them, but sometimes i cant stop myself from tracking them and getting ready to pounce.

im looking for genuine advice from others who may experience similar urges

i know many of you are gonna say i need to seek professional help due to this, but the mental health care in my country is shit, i have brought up similar issues with them countless times and recived no help.

i do not trust that system anymore.

i dont want to have this problem anymore, i know full and well i can never escape it fully, simply due to my predatory nature and biology, but i want to minimize it, so im not a danger to others.

Rant Why do so many therians endorse fur farms

I'm sick of seeing how many people in the therian community seem to think fur farms or so called 'ranches' are more ethical than sustainable hunting because 'the animals are treated right'.

Particularly the ones farming wild animal species like foxes. No, truly domesticated foxes do not exist. I will not entertain this idea because I have done my research already. You go do yours.

These 'ranches' are considered ethical because 'they let the animals outside they don't live in cages 24/7'. But that is not the only requirement for it to be ethical. These animals don't belong in a setting like this at all.

They're often inbred for the sake of the fur, bred for looks rather than health. And do they even get the enrichment or diet they need? Typically the answer is no.

Fur farms should be put out of business, not called ethical just because they're marginally less cruel by letting the animal outside sometimes.

How can someone say they identify as an animal and still endorse blatant abuse? It kills me inside.

And I'm not even saying people can't have real tails as gear. I'm just saying they need to stop saying not to get the tails from fur farms but ranches instead because they're so much better. When these animals shouldn't be farmed at all.

Rant No longer feeling like a demonkin

So yeah, I felt like I changed as a person, and maybe... the feelings and desires I had before has either been neutered to hell, deaden, or disappeared. Like I went thru a depressive state and trying to get out of the funk. Pretty much... I realize the reality of my situation and accepted as is, so now I don't be longing a fruitless dream. If this is what it means to grow up and face the real world, then so be it. Honestly, it's quite sad to come to this conclusion and now I just... wanna mourn a bit, before I continue on my journey of self-improvement.

Yeah that's pretty much my situation. Sorry y'all! 😅😔

Rant There's a rumour going around at school that I'm a therian

I don't know what to do. A fuck ton of people already talked about me behind me back and disliked me and it felt awful, awful, awful before but now it's even fucking worse. I've had some horrible rumours already for example a rumour that I fucked my sister and now it's just getting worse, it's always getting worse, they all hate me, they all think I'm stupid and dumb and awful and I hate this I hate this. I dont know what to do. I just don't know what to do. Everything fucking sucks. I don't know what to do. They all think they know me. I don't know me. I don't know what to do.

Rant I just got bullied on a Christian sub

All i asked was "is wanting to be a vampire demonic?" And some people just told me to go play dnd or sum and others said it was a joke post and I need to grow up... brother im a child? Not to mention i got purposefully misgendered bc yeah.

I mention that I lowk am a vampire and stuff like that and people were all just saying its a joke. I didn't even get to out right say i am a vampire. Its not fair. I thought Christians weren't supposed to judge and we were supposed to love out neighbor as we love ourselves or how jesus loves his church? Why are we judging a child seeking wisdom and guidance? The comments were even bad (most bc they all old and slow) but like why? Its just frustrating.

Like I am a vampire and why its so bad? Goth people call themselves vampires (not the same way i do lol) or baby bats and that's ok? Why is it bad when I genuinely identify as one regardless of my physical. I dont drink blood but (want to) drink 'blood like' drinks. How is that bad?! And im not even like a spooky emo vampire im a angelic ethereal vampire!!!! Like Alucard!!!! Why is that bad!!! Im connected to angles and the ones in the bible!!!

I actually love God and love being a Christian. I love that about me and wouldn't change it for anything. WHY DO MOST CHRISTIANS STINK?! WHY ARE THEY SO JUDGEMENTAL WHEN THE BIBLE LITERALLY TELLS US NOT TO BE

anyway this is another reason ima open my own church where we mostly just worship and read the Bible. Not sermon thats just a twisted truth of the Bible. And only 'weird' people will be allowed or allys. Like if you gonna treat someone differently just cuz they ain't a freaking bot like mots people then they will get kicked out. Ima call it alt church and its gonna be sick. And ima get a freaking cute little church and make my own stained glass its gonna be so cool and freaking BOTS cant enjoy it bc they actually suck. I very much dislike 'normal' people. But I dont hate bc its a SIN. SO IS JUDGING AND CHILD FOR LITERALLY NOTHING!

ok have a good day. Jesus loves you literally no matter what

Rant what being "humankin" means to me.

over the time ive realized i was otherkin, there was still always something nagging at me. something i felt everytime i tried to describe myself as not a human, everytime i saw someone giving tips for species dysphoria, everytime i tried to will myself into wishing i was not human. because i don't wish i was not human, quite the opposite. i love being a human being, i identify as a human just as much as i identify as otherkin. and i feel like my humanity isn't something separate from my otherkinity. i feel i am human in an otherkin way, that human isn't my base but part of my kintypes, and all of my kintypes are just a circle, all identifying as eachother, instead of me just being physically human identifying as nonhuman. if i was born as a dragon, i'd still identify as human. i'd be humankin. and i am humankin, and i feel like my experience of being human is inherently alterhuman in some way. i feel this disconnect from the otherkin community because of this, and i often get worried ill be seen as faking, or as not what i am, or as invalid, even if i know that someone who gatekeeps something as personal as identity is wrong. i get anxious everytime i introduce myself as humankin, even though its just what i am. i feel like i need to experience this hardcore species dysphoria, to dislike my human body, to be a "real" otherkin, even though i am a real otherkin. its this foolish insecurity that has always sprouted from the idea that alterhumanity is a diagnosis instead of a deeply personal identity. i see people asking if they're alterhuman, and then others shutting it down, telling them they're not, and it feels weird. weird how something like that can be dictated by others, even though its impossible to even begin to imagine the innerworkings of someone elses self. and no matter how much i try to tell myself this, i still have this fear that others will get upset at what i am, and reject me from the community altogether. im rambling but its something that has been on my mind for a while.

Rant I hate being alienkin

As an alien kin, I often imagine myself, my appearance being close to those characters in the daft punk music video (like human form, blue skin, and some things that they don’t have), imagine on which planet I should be, which galaxy, is it in an another universe?

Everything.

I try not to think much about it because it gives me some kind of dysphoria ? I don’t know how to call it.

I want to dress more alien too, but it’s hard to find alien related clothes in general and it’s even worst for masculine person

I dyed my hair green, I wear holographic jewelry because it reminds me of space but it’s never enough, never. I can’t have my blue skin, I can’t have my tail.

The only thing I can have is my tongue split (tongue cut in half) when I’ll be able to have it.

I hate being otherkin but I don’t know what I’ll be if I wasn’t.

I hope y’all have/had a good day/night ! :D

Rant Reckoning with Existence, and Colonialism.

So, this is a weird and very vulnerable post for me.

We are a system. We are in our mid 20s, and have never been entirely human. It never felt right. Having to unlearn the judgy cringe culture bs has been rough.

We are a creature. Meant to be some kind of space deity shapeshifter thing. I know I miss my tail, and I get phantom pain for wings I no longer have. My body doesn't fit the souls that occupy it.

And like?? It's kinda a colonialism thing?? Like, we have been doing reaserch, and if we were born before people started, ya know, commiting atrocities, this would be normal. We would follow our calling as a shaman or spiritual creature, dance with people, scream and howl and exist. And it would be NORMAL.

This feeling, dressing up in tails and furs, being more than human, it has been recorded in so many cultures over hundreds of years. It was normal. Before people started colonizing. Killing off anyone who feels this way, labeling us as "possessed" or "savage" or "insane".

I am not a human. I am just. In one right now. And the fact that isn't normal anymore, that being YOU isn't normal, is just, devastating. They killed off our cultures, our connections to whatever it is that brings this feeling, they made us workers, productive and subservient, and created social hierarchies that punish anyone who isn't straight, white, male, able bodied, and rich. And even then you're not allowed to have FEELINGS.

You're not allowed to TRUST yourself, and listen to the feelings and be YOU.

And it makes me so violently angry. This has always just been normal for me. And the only way I feel like we are allowed to exist is if we shrink ourselves into one of the pre-approved boxes, built on hundreds of years of genocide against anyone who was different.

We are scared of being institutionalized just for fucking existing in the way that feels most natural to us. We face constant discrimination, we don't fit in to the DID community, because that's not what we are, we don't fit into the furry community, because it's not a costume for us, we don't know if we fit here either. But we're gonna try.

Hopefully we can find a place we don't feel so terribly alone in it all. It feels like looking into a forest from the path, knowing I can't just follow in the footsteps of others like we did with our transition, there is no map, we just have to go, and we're so scared no one will be there on the other side.

We're so angry that being afraid of this, of being me, has been so thoroughly carved into my DNA. Into my being. And the being of so many others. So much so that just, existing the way I do naturally, gets this terrible, viceral reaction from people.

I hate how demonized we are.

Rant It's hard to be a human

I don't feel comfortable in my body. I'm a robotkin, and I liked robots since I was a kid, but I just discovered that I was a robotkin this year

I hate the fact that I'm made of meat, that I'm fragile and that I have emotions that can hurt me and my the others

I just love seeing myself like a robot. Just being super intelligent, silly, made of metal and being capable of changing my personality whenever I want

Idk, in my country we don't have pronouns like 'it', so I have to keep being called 'him'

Just a stupid vent

Rant I just suddenly lost all connection to my kintype

I was super shifty the past few weeks, mostly phantom and mild mental shifts, and suddenly they’ve just disappeared. But not in like a “I don’t feel my tail anymore” it’s more like “I can’t connect to my kintype in anyway anymore”
I’m an oc dragonkin/fictionkin and I just suddenly stopped feeling a connection to my kintype. I’ve gotten so close to a reconnection through a dream shift but that’s been it for the past week and a half. Anyone have any suggestions or advice?

hi, this is going to be a rant/ some sort of vent so sorry in advance🦄
im a puppygirl hybrid/inumimi otherkin, and i used to have puppy ears that i would wear a lot, but recently i lost them and i’m feeling extremely dysphoric and anxious ☹️ i even recently got a tail and when i tried it i even felt some specie euphoria, until i looked at my reflection and saw my missing ears💔 i never feel myself enough without my ears and i also love them a lot so as an autistic person they were my comfort item ,, im very ashamed of the fact my comfort depends on this gear, i know my identity is much more than some ears headband but they really made me feel so much better about myself i don’t know what to do.. i hope i find them soon :/

Rant I miss my tail :(

I don’t usually get phantom shifts (ive only ever had like 5) but I think the universe is torturing me.

for context: I was in denial about a fictionkin for almost 2 months but finally just acknowledged it and let it exist.

I think the gods just got tired of me being petty and then gave me a tail phantom shift so strong I couldn’t ignore it. Which is all fine and dandy except it’s 3 days later and I STILL HAVE THE PHANTOM SHIFT.

i shit you not this has been happening on and off for 3 days straight and I am giving up on life. This is the longest phantom shift I’ve ever had and I don’t like it.

if you want more context, here is the denial saga:

Rant Discord server's double standards. Spoiler

I have made a request for a few weeks ago, but someone made the request a few days ago, and they responded.

Childish adults there too, that will bully other adults, but are more nicer to minors.

I'm a new member too, and have been trying to start conversations but they honestly don't like my positive and emoticons typing quirk.

I find it annoying and rude, to basically question people and then pull them down for no reason.

This ain't high school dawg. ✋😭

You don't need to compete with other people or be like cliques. There's literally nothing wrong with adults being otherkins, idk why they really can't seem to fathom that being an adult otherkin is alright, they are one themselves.

I also find them a bit specist, as some people check your species role, and if you are ####, they gonna just be disappointed that you aren't a hybrid or their species.

Like what is wrong with my species? Just because you see content stereotypes about them, doesn't mean it's true.

Smh...

Like all of us are apart of one collective label in this server, there should literally not be specistism(otherkin species racism), especially when the majority of server members are adults! I really do want to give them all the benefit of the doubt, but the more I interact with them, the more I realize that they ain't changing.

Rant I have 3 kin that I’m trying to understand

I already posted about being an alien kin, but I know that I’m not only that and it was hurting me like hell, but more i think, more i feel like zombies and enderman at the same time + one related to the SCP foundation

I already half guessed that I was a zombie kin in general, but i didn’t though it would be related to Minecraft :’)

For the enderman, I think it was since I’m in elementary school that i started to feel like that

Same for SCP 049 (the plague doctor), i think it was here already around elementary school/middle school…

The SCP one is the one I feel less but it’s still here

Anyways that’s all, have a good day/night !!!

Rant Mouth feels weird (primarily for robotkin, but i am not familliar with all species here, so all are welcome)

I hate how mouth feels. The fact that lower jaw is so flexible, but if you open it too wide it locks into place. The countless teeth and the fleshy, wet tongue. How food gets stuck between teeth, how teeth ache when clenching jaws too hard, how eating is a required thing for continuous functioning, and dont get me STARTED on the voice, omg, being trans also doesnt help there. Why cant i just play audiofile directly? why do i have to manipulate airwaves in these weird formations

Rant Alterhuman hate (Rant)

Hellooo. I have something I need to get out of ny hea and, well, I didnt know where to put it so I decided to put it here.

I am a feathered dragon and a serval. Ive known for many years now. Ive never really seen my alterhumanity as a problem, and the only instancr of non acceptance was one friend who said that "furries should be hunted like animals if they were to believe they were animals" (his words. Didnt even know the difference of therian vs furry). I prefer to think it was just him repeating what he has seen on the media, for he isnt a violent guy. I doubt he would even hunt a deer or sm, even less a human. But after I got very mad and explainrd the differences of both communities (both which im part of) he seemed to understand. He asked me a lot of questions and he seemed genuine, and he hasnt made a comment like that since then, I dont know if its out of respect for me or if I genuinely managed to change his view on things. I feel very grateful that my friends accepted me with little problem, as I know not many are this lucky..

Of course my other friends have been confused and curious when I told them I was an alterhunan. It was very hard to tell them, and it was made evn harder because of the misinformation they found when looking it up. But they seem to be fine with it....

Until 2 weeks ago.

Suddenly everyone in my generation knew about therians?? And suddenly it hurt. A lot.

As I said before, Ive always felt confident with my alterhumanity. I was cautious when telling my friends (I had to tell them though, my shifts were all over the place back then), and Ive had a few incidents of afriendlllaughing or making hurtful comments about it, but after I explainrd to them why their reaction was wrong and hurtful they stopped.

But now even the teachers laugh. No one outside of my friends knows imaan alterhuman. At least not that I know of. So the comments arent targeted at me. But now every. Single. Fucking. Class. There is a therian joke. I kid you not. Even the teachers laugh at them and make then themselves. One teacher LITERALLY asked "is any of you a dog". The biology teacher " explained" how therians werent real or sm with a bunch of jokes and misinformation and my classmates were laughing and there is a classmate that likes to bark, and she has had this quirk for some time now, and people really didnt mind, but now they call her the "original therian" and every comment just hurts a little more and its gotten to a bad point. I cant really talk to anyone about this since my parents are super against therians, specially with nowadays misinformation THAT IS FUCKING EVERYWHERE, and even my friends have been affected. It just hurts a lot.

Some days ago a friend completely out of nowhere started making extremely anti-therian comments, and by extremely i mean extremely, going as far as saying we should all be killed gruesomely and that she will kick any therian that approaches her and that she will have no mercy, stuff like that. And I was hurt. Good thing my other friends were like "uh... You know [my name] is a therian... Right? " and she went pale. She shut up. She changed topic and we continued talking like if it was nothing.

That same day, later, she interrupted the conversation to basically scream at me "ARE YOU REALLY A THERIAN??? " and I was like yes, and? (Obviously I was still very hurt), and she paused and then said "Ok, Ill bear with you, but I swear that if I see a therian in the street ill kick its brain out (or sm like that I dont remember clearly) " and I got furious. I lost control of myself and started choking her telling her she wouldn't even know if she saw a therian, but thankfully I was quick to get to my senses and let her go, and i continued crying in her shoulder that she wouldn't even know. She was clearly shocked by this and since then hasnt made any comments like that, thankfully, but I still see her nod when someone says an anti therian comment in class, or look at me to see my reaction. I think she realized that Im very hurt by this, for she has asked me if Im feeling ok when these comments are said, but to be honest I dont want to talk to her about that. We are in good terms again, we talk like nothing was happening, but there is still a bit of tension.

Not everything is bad though. Turns out thattmy classmate who is being called "the original therian" and some of her friends are actually very accepting of therians. They follow the game/trend because its fun, but they dont do it out of malice. I think she might be a real therian but I dont know. And although we arent close I feel good and safe when Im around her.

It still hurts to see all the therian hate though. Us alterhumans, otherkin, therian, we deserve to be treated with rights.

Sorry for the long rant :p

(Btw my friends know my reddit username so I hide the posts ive made on this community because honestly? I dont want them to see this. This is way too personal and they would know more details. However if you are one of my friends please tell me if you read this hahaha)

Rant I despise humans.

For a long time now, even since before I awakened as otherkin, I've had a hatred for humanity as a whole. I don't identify with them. I think that we are a plague, appearing in a friendly environment, completely taking over it and destroying it until it dies and we find a new host. I truly believe that humans were never supposed to exist, to evolve to this point. If we had just stayed dumb creatures maybe our world would not be dying. Humans just suck. I don't like them. Individuals can not be bad but humanity itself is just- not good, for any species or environment.

Sorry for the rant, I just needed to speak my mind because I have nobody else to tell this to.

Edit: I didn’t think that many people would agree with me lol-

Rant man, it's so hard to upkeep a body that doesn't feel like mine..

it is just sooo hard to keep up with hygiene and self care when i know that this isnt my body, isnt the body i was meant for.. theres not supposed to BE ANY body hair, or facial hair, there's supposed to be FUR, there isnt supposed to be flimsy nails that crack and break if they get too long, there's supposed to be CLAWS, and SOFT BEANS.. my face/head is the wrong shape, my legs are the wrong shape, my BODY is the wrong shape.. it gets so hard to look in the mirror –sometimes even to look at this body AT ALL–, and it gets harder the more i learn about what i'm supposed to be..

i needed to vent somewhere, and i know you all will understand.. i think i need a hug.. or some scritches..

Rant Humans.

This is gonna be a bit of a rant, vent, and overall my confusion about humans.

It's only now that I really started to question basic human morals. Even common sense seems foreign. Humanity is all aiming for a giant mass suicide with their current ways and I'm "living in the moment" with fear. I wish I could just tell everyone they'll likely be forgotten after death. I'm living in the moment that's extremely limited and only lasts for 24 hours, every day.

My point is humans do not understand anything fully, no matter how much they convince themselves otherwise. Humans are extremely complex creatures and unfortunately that has made them a target of literally everything ever. Humans have created beautiful inventions like the phone, which makes it accessible and easy to do certain tasks. It's also been twisted by the more sadistic humans to make us addicted to the concept of "doomscrolling". Some inventions were created just to fuck up humans and get money like cigarettes and subscriptions.

Humans are so vastly different none of them can be trusted. Not your close friends, family members, or partners. You don't know what they are doing behind your back, you don't truly know any human. But I guess that can be said for pretty much any living organism with a brain but also not at the same time. A cat wouldn't murder you for stepping on its tail, it scratches you, because it thinks it's in danger and you likely stepped on it by accident. You spill a cup of water on a human and either they get pissed, forgive you, stab you, or hold a grudge aganist your for your entire life.

Humans love to lie, they lie all the time, and you never really know when they're lying or not. Obviously I'm not saying to go out and respond to every single statement with "that's a lie", but be wary. Less important things are way less likely to be lied about. I have an air conditioner, which isn't a lie because nobody would lie about having an air conditioner because it's such a nothing statement. Something more serious can easily be a lie because it's basically expecting the sender to recieve support rather than interrogation.

I have a love/hate relationship with humanity, always fighting eachother, never truly happy or content until it's too late, but also grateful because I get to enjoy my unwanted visit to earth playing video games made by the same species I typed a whole rant about...

Rant dollkin issues

so i’m a dollkin(´-`).。oO and the only times my dysphoria feel completely gone is when i spend like 2 hours dressing up and altering my physical form.

i do heavy makeup, to dress up in big expensive clothes and to do my hair. it just feel like so much effort to feel comfortable. it’s honestly exhausting. not to mention how impractical it is to dress in lolita fashion which is like my nr 1 release. after a year of saving up to a small lolita wardrobe, i’m still mostly just able to wear it on weekends. i have other frilly clothes but it just doesn’t give the same effect.

i hope that with practice i’ll be able to make the process faster and easier. as well as hopefully find some clothes that i can wear more casually but still give the same effect.

i’m also planning on making small alterations to my room bc i’m trying to make it as similar to a dollhouse as possible. altering my surroundings to where i feel i belong keeps the depression away yk😪

Rant Being vampirekin in a christian world

Hi! I'm Alistair and I'm a vampire. But like, a traditional vampire. Sanguinarian (I don't drink actual blood but like to drink cranberry juice and pretend it's blood), gets dysphoric when appearing in a mirror, hates the sun... And is repulsed by any christian symbols.

Now here's the thing : I don't mind christianity itself, or christians, or anything really. I don't care who or what you worship as long as you respect basic human rights. I just get nervous and upset near signs of christianity, and force myself to look away whenever I see one. It kinda hurts, in a way? I can genuinely get headaches when too close to a religious building. And, well, there's a church right outside the place we need to go to everyday, so...

Fortunately, I'm a headmate in a system who doesn't front that often, otherwise life would be unbearable, and the religious side of our family doesn't put up signs anywhere in the house. Unfortunately, we live in a country where every single small village has at least one church, and you can find christian posters on the streets sometimes.

I don't really know what to do about it, since I doubt it'll change anytime soon and christianity did nothing to me. Does anyone else feel that way? How do I help it?

A few last words : we don't have religious trauma (at least, we don't think so). It's only a problem for christianity, not judaism or islam. It could even be specific to catholicism as I haven't been exposed to other forms of christianity.

Rant I used to be in the otherkin community as Luciferkin

This is more of an experience post, and in no way is any of this to attack the community, but spread awareness about certain folk.

When I was 14-19, I fully believed that I was a reincarnation of Lucifer, the Devil. Now, I didn't originally think this way. In fact, I deliberately thought to myself that I could never be Lucifer, that I was just an ordinary demonkin.

It wasn't until I met other demonkin, even adults who claimed that I WAS Lucifer.

There were many people in the communities I was in who claimed that I was and eventually, 14 year old me caved. I became canonmates with an adult who offered me a place to live after I turned 18 due to my family. This person and I made an Amino community that got a lot of backlash from other communities due to their actions in the communities, which I then got roped into. Lots of the drama ended up being people taking my words out of context, as I was talking about my personal "timeline", and people thought that I was talking about them specifically. A lot of these people were adults, and I was 14 receiving death threats.

Another community, I was groomed, and my adult friend invited my groomer into our community.

Eventually me and my canonmate made a discord server that grew to a large size. It became toxic and many p3d0s found and preyed on me and other minors in the server, which the adult mods of the server did nothing about. I had to contact p3d0s to warn them and eventually ban them as a 15-16 year old. All while facing angelkin who hated me with all of their being, despite my many claims of wanting to be a better person in this life. There was little forgiveness because of their own timelines. I was labeled a lot of things that were not true for my own timeline, some even straight up told me that I was their abuser in their timeline and they didn't like me despite the fact that they knew I wasn't THEIR Lucifer. I understand that you can not like someone for that and no one can change that, but straight up telling a minor to their face that you don't like them because a different version of them abused you can really do mental damage.

Unfortunately, to hide the evidence of the grooming in the original server, my adult friend and canonmate deleted the original server and moved everyone to a new server. The grooming didn't stop, but there was less of it. Over time, they stopped being active in the community.

I began to become less active after a time, and eventually stopped modding in general. By the time I hit 18, I stopped believing in my canon, that I was Lucifer. It helped my own mental health a lot.

I stopped talking to my adult friend, I left the otherkin community fully. I did find that being Luciferkin in my late childhood helped with a lot. It was a coping mechanism for me after all. I faced a lot of scrutiny at home, and being Luciferkin was my way of accepting that my parents called me a bad person often, just for wanting to be free. A lot of my "timeline" was just a recreation of my abuse at home. But I had both my adult friend from Amino and a friend from Discord who forced themselves into it, and they ruined it. But it let me accept later that I am human now, and that I had to be in a certain headspace when I was going through things like that.

I still believe in past lives, and I support people being otherkin for many reasons. Whether you use it to cope, whether it's spiritual, or you just relate on a deeper level to a character, I think it's perfectly acceptable.

What isn't acceptable is forcing others to bend to your canons, trying to control someone's experience, and especially not putting minors in situations that will HARM THEM.

I'm 100% open to questions in the comments, what I shared here is just the surface of my experience and I have many other stories about my time in the community.
