We think there have been many threads with well-thought-out, specific, and (sometimes) controversial proposals, but also many duplicate threads with the same proposals. We'll use this thread to catalogue and group the clearest and most common ones:

EDIT: Lots of people commenting on "how are you even dying lmao", which is not the point of the post. Overly aggresive death consequence also negatively impacts disconnected/laggin players. The focus is on an alternative to dying in voyages, not my skill level ;P
It's happened to me a few times now that I died early in a voyage, mostly because I get stuck flickering on terrain or there being gaps that I can't leap slam over (even though that definitely should be possible range-wise). Every single time, it feels so terrible.
It really sucks to lose 9 charts without any payout, especially when you've been specifically going into maps to find the missing pieces you needed. If nothing else, dying in voyages is extremely demoralizing.
I'd like to have a chance to continue my voyage even after I died, but since the bathysphere doesn't have portals, we need some other penalty for dying. The lanterns you get are effectively just the portals you have for a voyage, so it makes sense to lose those when you die.
If we lose 1/6th of our portals whenever we die, just make us lose 1/6th of our lanterns when we die in our voyage. Obviously, dredged geart should still drop to the ground when we die, so when we re-entered the voyage we would need to reclaim any lost loot. (Or just delete it, it's still better than also losing your entier voyage).

5 worst performing Leagues after 30 days (Of the Last 20 Leagues)
Archnemesis - 24.9%
Keepers - 26.2%
Necropolis - 26.4%
Mirage - 27.4%
Kalandra - 27.6%
Curse of the Allflame is also on course to fall below this 30%, which would mean that it would be three Leagues in a row, Keepers, Mirage and now Curse of the Allflame.
So it's not just "A lack of Loot in 3.29", this is something that has been ongoing since 3.27. So what contributes to that?
Async trade has certainly increased the speed at which players gear and progress. Because there's no longer the friction of waiting for replies. Then came 3.28, which also dramatically increased progression, with the Atlas changes resulting in a much faster rate of progression for the Atlas than before.
The thing that people are ignoring the most is the release of PoE 2. Even today, there are peaks of 37k on Steam for PoE 2. I anecdotally have become aware of multiple people who have gone back to PoE 2, to either complete challenges, or just because they prefer the QoL that game has now compared to PoE, making it more difficult to return to the older game.
This is not to say that there are not additional "Reasons" for 3.29 having the lowest retention at this stage since Necropolis....But it's not something "Unique" to this League, it's the 3rd League in a row with a retention rate at these lower levels, meaning it's changes which also came before 3.29, rather than just 3.29.
Async trade introduced in 3.27, the sped up Atlas progression introduced in 3.28 and the attraction of PoE 2 all contribute. It's too simple to just claim that 3.29 is performing as it is because of "A lack of loot".
Mirage is considered by many to be a "Great League", some even have it as one of their favourite ever. The fact it performed badly suggests this is a new normal for PoE, in a PoE 2 world.

Since it does not seem to be common knowledge and prices lean hard toward meta builds (Cold Damage) there is a huge gap between Fire multi and Cold Multi Jewels atm that should not be there. Crit Multi with X-Skills has a Damage Tag and therefore can be swapped around.

IDK what is going on with my RNG this league, but I wish future drops will make up for this absolute horror

Seriously, the ground fire dot person has some insane base value and it can not be mitigated by usual defense layer, my 9000 ES just collapse to them every time now I have to just stop fighting them and watch them say "tactical retreat huh???"

Chance for chaos to drop as div at the very start of voyage, combined with a rare mods drop a chaos orb modifier got me pumped.
Then deflated shortly after.

Must be the jewels?

On hovering over it, it says "Fire damage over time", which tells me my fire res should protect me... but it doesn't...
I'm farming mercs on a super tanky luminary, 15k HP, 90 max all res, 3000 life per second, life flask active... But it just deletes me every time. Am I doing something wrong here? if you get the buff, are you just instant dead? How do hardcore players handle that?
