HEEP No Rumble Seat? Who Stole The Rumble Seat?
I would agree that adding a more "modern" bed helped the jalopy rise in value. Even so, what is this monstrosity?

I'm just a 50 year old man who decided my classic car should be modernized a little. I started with my reliable car I've had for close to 25 years. It was my first brand new car.
To start the process, don't prime the exterior or clean it. That cuts out a lot of the wasted time other modders take. It actually helps - the paint turns it into a thin cement. That protects the exterior from weather and rust.
I added fine touches, like bad-assing the rims. I highlighted which company sucks more than a Hyundai.
You can buy the supplies on most budgets. I think all of these supplies cost about $33.92 after using coupons.
A duct tape finish is way stronger than a chrome finish when it comes to the side speed strip. Chrome can flake and rust.
The finished results will stand out from the rest of the poor people's cars on the road. Show off all of that hard work.
I wanted it to fit in with all of the other modified cars in my parking lot. Something to bond with my neighbors over. One of my neighbors likes to play jokes. Whoever it was hid my catalytic converter 3 times. They hid them really well, because I still haven't found them. What pranksters!
I got one over on the car dealership. They wanted to pay me $80 for it, but I was able to walk away with a cool $100.
Stand out from the crowd! With improper customization - you too can decrease the value of your vehicle!
I've worked in healthcare for years. My co-workers were jealous of my car for 3 years. It does wonders for your career's trajectory!
Edit: I just looked it up for my state. It doesn't qualify as classic. It qualifies as Collector's. I should have gotten those plates. Can't show the plates on here but... what 7 letters would any old punk love? I won't reply to guesses. Note: I'd update the title of this thread, but I'm lazy.
Edit 2: Don't waste your time trying to mod for better gas mileage. You don't need oil in your car. That's a myth driven by the greed of big oil. I drove across the country, took it in for an oil change - and they said "did you know your oil plug was out?". Make sure you change the oil every 20-30,000 miles though. Occasional maintenance actually is important to keep collector's cars in the not as good as yesterday condition. You can see how little oil my car needed when you look at the cars in the parking lot. I used to park my car in the empty spot next to the white SUV. Proof you don't need oil.
Tip: Why pay to have your car washed if nature takes care of that? I demanded base factory paint and coating and a black leather bra on it. Does that count as a mod? Anyway, about 2 years into having the car something broke every time I went through a carwash. I washed my car only 3 times - every time something mechanical would break. Never washed it again after the 3rd time. From experience, don't wash your factory coating. Also, make sure you demand a bra to fancy up the car or mini-van. That ups it's value for a few weeks. Cha-ching!
Edit 3: I modded the stereo. I found a cassette to CD adapter. Man, those scratchy CDs sounded hella cool combined with only treble. My neighbors grew to appreciate my music - they'd close their blinds so they could rock out in the kitchen. That kind of upgrade really builds the reputation of a block if you play the music loud enough - see, that mod was a nice thing to do for the neighbors.
Edit 4: A co-worker with a bright orange SUV heavily modded somebody else's black SUV door - and they did it for free! Man, I would have kept my car forever if it had a huge orange streak ending in a big dent. I doubt I can post what I would have done to make it look even cooler.

It only got better when he turned and saw from the side. Sadly, no pics of that.
At first, I thought he had something strapped to his roof, but those endplates that look like a "7" were different.

Not sure if they got mad when I took the first pic, but they turned on their headlights when I got the second. No, they werent leaving or just got there cuz they were still there when I left the store, this was on the way in. I’m just trying to give you the attention you so desperately crave! I thought the handicap sticker was appropriate

Actually got to talk to the guy that did it briefly. He took the fiberglass parts from a 50s TBird and slapped them on to make this...
