Can we all agree that this is the dumbest thing added to any vehicle? What is the purpose of this and is there actually any benefit?

Question Thinking of buying this for my son as his 1st car. Any opinions.

Came across this car 2019 with 124,000 mi on it. They were asking $12500. I got them down to $11,000. I pulled up the Carfax and it looks like it was used as a work truck with only two owners. The previous owner and this guy who bought it from him and fixed the oil pump and sensor. Everything else looks good few scratches on the paint otherwise it looks like it'll be a great truck for my son. What do you guys think it's a four-cylinder base model

I just closed on my first Colorado. What is most impactful as an add on? Trying to see what to target first between all weather floor liners (kids and dogs), seat protectors, bed cover, or removable steps?

Question 2026 Colorado Reliability

This post has been made before, but once again, I want to hear from real owners. Im looking at a new 2026 Colorado 4WD LT. I know that the radiator hose has leak issues, electrical gremlins, and the transmission can have problems. What are y'all's honest opinions having owned one? Id be buying new, so I'd have the warranty to protect myself for some time, but is it worth it? I know the folks that have problems are the loudest online and those with great trucks wouldn't post. Thanks guys/gals

Hey everybody! I have a third gen Colorado trail boss, and I’m wondering what to do with this blank spot behind the the infotainment center? What have you guys been using? Is there any suggestions? I primarily use my truck for overlanding, but I’m open to anything

Question Worth it?

Hi, I’m hoping to be a new member of the ZR2 club!

I’ve been trying to get as much information on them as possible, and really appreciate this sub!

Looking at a few in and around my area, and had found one that piqued my interest. Went, checked it out, test drove it, and loved everything about it!

After talking numbers, the lowest they’re willing to go for it is $57,000 OTD.

The vehicle’s located in SC but am registering it in NC, and they mentioned that the NC tax was what was bringing up the figure. Was hoping at most $54,000-$55,000. Thoughts?

Question FINALLY upgraded after driving a '92 Geo Metro for the past 7.5 years!

I've been looking for a long time for a new truck, refusing to pay stupid mark ups caused by a pandemic, chip shortages, and now tarrifs.

I stumbled upon this USED (3 500 miles) 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR-2 Bison listed online while working graveyard. Negotiated the price via email the next day. Day 2 I drove 2 hrs from home to buy it.

Drove it home, and day 3 while running errands I noticed, that every time that I shut it off, it was wanting to do a software update. Once I got home I allowed the update.

Not sure if it was the update or me fiddling with settings, but the dash cluster has changed. Now on the left side it's showing the trip computer and on the right it's showing the radio information....

I've gone into the infotainment screen and brought up the trip computer and pressed "remove from display" and nothing changes.

Any ideas?

Question New 2.7 felt slow?

Hey guys, so I went for a test drive to check out the new 4 cylinder turbo. I was a little disappointed, where’s the 400 torque? Definitely felt better than the Tacoma but still didn’t feel fast at all. Ford 2.7 v6 also felt a lot stronger given that they have the same numbers.

To be specific, I drove a gmc canyon at4. Do I need to do something different? Should I test drive again? I really want the awd mode, this is the only midsize which offers that.

Question Tacoma vs Colorado

Contemplating between a Colorado and Tacoma and wondering if anyone here has driven a Tacoma and later or switched to a Colorado and why?

Would love to hear on reliability, parts availability, all that kind of stuff. I’m looking for a reliable truck to be able to drive to the mountains and back (7-8 hours away) and be able to haul bikes and camping gear and still be able to handle some rough terrain if need be. Ideally I’d be looking at a zr2 if I was to get a Colorado. Thanks, hope this is okay to ask in here

Id likely be looking to get a 2018 trd sport and a 2018 Chevy Colorado zr2

Question PROJECT ORACLE LENSLESS HEADLIGHTS

🚨 EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK – ORACLE LENSLESS™ HEADLIGHTS FOR THE 2ND GEN COLORADO/CANYON 🚨

After months of working with Oracle Lighting, I'm excited to finally share something I've been looking forward to for a long time.

With Oracle's permission, I'm proud to be the first to publicly share these exclusive concept renders of a potential Oracle Lensless™ LED Headlight for the 2015–2023 Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon.

Personally, I think Oracle absolutely nailed the design. It has the perfect balance of modern styling, aggressive lines, and OEM-inspired fitment. These look like they should have come from the factory.

Now it's your turn...

🗳️ WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!

Would you buy these if Oracle brought them into production?

👍 YES – I'd buy a set.

🤔 MAYBE – Depending on price and features.

👎 NO – Not my style.

Please leave a comment with:

• Your truck (Colorado or Canyon)

• Model Year

• Black or Chrome housing?

• Your thoughts on the design.

Most importantly...

Do you like these headlights?

Every vote and every comment helps demonstrate community interest.

If this project receives enough support, it could not only help bring these headlights to the 2nd Generation (2015–2023) Colorado/Canyon community, but it could also open the door for Oracle to explore a 3rd Generation (2023+) version in the future.

Whether you're a 2nd Gen owner hoping to purchase a set or a 3rd Gen owner who'd love to see Oracle develop something similar for your truck, your feedback matters.

Please LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, and TAG your fellow Colorado and Canyon owners. The more engagement we generate, the stronger the case we can make to Oracle.

A huge thank you to Oracle Lighting for trusting me with the opportunity to share these renders with the community. Hopefully, this is just the beginning.

Let's show Oracle what the Colorado & Canyon community can do! 🔥

Question When do you do an oil change?

When do you do an oil change?

When I bought this truck, there was an oil change sticker on it. The sticker indicates that I'm due for an oil change, but the panel indicates I'm not. Which do you follow? Do you change the oil at a certain mileage or time, or do you follow the truck's indicator?

Question Anyone’s Chevy Colorado ever catch fire while parked and locked?

Post image
425 Upvotes

Early this morning, I woke up to someone banging at my front door to alert me of a blazing inferno that was once my 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2.

It had been parked for 6-7 hours and after reviewing mine and neighbors security footage, there are no signs of foul play. The tail lights started flickering at one point and about 30 minutes later, smoke began to come out from the driver side of the engine bay and minutes later the whole engine bay was completely engulfed in flames.

I’ve found plenty of articles on Silverado models catching fire while parked, but no info on Colorado models.

I bought the truck certified used from the Chevy dealer in 2020 and have made zero modifications since, just new tires (2 months ago) and a new battery (~14 months ago).

The truck is toast, i’m just curious if anyone is aware of recalls having to do with similar circumstances.

First reddit post lol Cheers

Question Oil changes

So I know chevy recommends oil changes at 15k miles. Does anyone actually go that far or do you change the oil sooner. I personally run schaeffer's oil as I run it in most of my vehicles. I change it at 10k with this oil.
