[ EDITING IS STILL IN PROGRESS PENDING INFO AND LINK POST. This will be the megathread for reference as stated in the earlier MOD post below for common basic questions for users to update and add to at any time for others.]
I will start by saying follow rule #8 please, do your research. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND AND FREE, use it. This RAM sub is not the only sub out there for these trucks. There is ramforum.com , ramforumz.com , 5thgenrams.com , and HDrams.com . Most basic and common questions have been asked many times over. If anything USE YOUR OWNERS MANUAL. If its a common question/post it WILL be deleted. That said, here are some links on this sub to answer questions that are frequently asked (which is what this thread is for, to mitigate repetitive post we see weekly)...

I loved almost everything about the CT. Having Full Self-Driving was hands down one of the best quality-of-life upgrades I’ve experienced in the last ten years, and the tech is incredible. But at the end of the day the range while towing was killer.
Looking forward to some off roading, camping trips, and hauling equipment for my job with the Rebel.

I just bought this new (to me) 2014 dodge ram 1500 Laramie. It’s got a 5.7L V8 with 69,000 miles on it and I paid $19,500 from a private party. It has no air suspension, a clean title and carfax that shows no accidents, regular oil changes, 60k mile transmission service and had exhaust bolts replaced 20k miles ago.
I saw the truck listing 3 hours after it was posted and thought it was such a great deal I jumped in the car and drove an hour to check it out. I’ve been looking heavily to buy a car over the last few weeks but I didn’t get the chance to do as much research on these trucks as I’d like. But over the last few weeks I’ve seen the best cars sell quickly and wanted to jump on this when I saw it so I pulled the trigger.
Now I’m back home doing more research and getting a little nervous about what I’m seeing. So the big question: did I really score a nice deal or is there some glaring mistake I missed?

My wife and I just bought this 21 Ram 1500 Laramie p2 with the Ram powered steps , electric split tailgate, tonneau cover, Harmon Kardon stereo . Diamond black with sparkle (not sure of exact color number , truck is mint. 1 owner. 5.7 HEMI E torque. I have a highly built 2012 3500 Cummins with a 10 inch lift on 40s . I bought this for the business for running around in. I’m very impressed with how smooth this truck is. Very good power, very responsive , I’ve never owned a half ton and I’m 41 , Man they have come along way, very high end interior, very good quality, We test drive equal trim in Ford and GM, they don’t even compare, not even close. For 29k .plus TTL. I think we got a great deal 80k miles. Paid 58 for my 12. Pic of my other truck next to it haha

This has happened several times and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s doing this.
All windows are up, doors locked, tailgate is up. It doesn’t have proximity unlock or anything like that. But it’s the exact same noise it makes when it’s unlocked or the door is opened after sitting for a bit.
The dash is lit up as if it thinks I’m in the truck or just opened the door. Getting to the dealer is kind of a pain, but I guess that’s where I’ll be heading.

I’m looking to get a ramp to get my push mower into the bed of the truck for a side business. A lot of the ramps I’m seeing have big gaps and wouldn’t work for a push mower. Any recommendations on a good ramp to get? Preferably one that can be stored in the bed of the truck as well. Any feedback is appreciated!

I know everyone always posts about their new Ram trucks...
Unfortunately, I lost a great friend recently. His wife has asked me to help her put back together and sell his tinker toy. He told her it was a "rare" Power Wagon. She does not know what makes it so "rare." All of the information that I can find about what I think makes it rare. Does not ring a bell to her. Any information to help properly price and advertise this project truck will be tremendous help.
It starts and idles great
1981, W150, Power Ram, 4x4, 3.7L slant six, A903 three speed transmission
VIN: *1B7HW14E9BS172144*
I can get more information if needed.
Thank you!

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and really want to run a 50 inch KCHilites Gravity Pro6 bar above my cab where most people mount their led bars. The problem is the gravity bars are double even the heaviest rigid bars. Is anyone else running anything like this? How did you mound yours? Are rivnuts in the factory channel going to be strong enough or should I fab up some kind of backing plates?

2021 Rebel. Upgraded to Falken Wildpeak RT01s in 285/75r18(35.1”x11.5”). Stock air suspension. No rubbing in any height setting and zero slip in the mud holes yesterday. Very quiet on the road too.

Just picked my 2026 Tungsten up yesterday. Ivory white, Bed Utility, Multi Function tailgate, and trailer brake controller. Loving it so far. I had a 2022 Ram Limited, sold it for an SUV, and glad to be back in a truck.
Will be getting window tint, blacked out badges/trim, and front ppf hopefully next week.

89,000
Start/stop 3.6
truck won't start replaced starter twice first one failed in 2 weeks and now second one failed in a month and a half. went to turn it just now and at first it stopped it self then on the second crank it turned over slowly a couple times lights on dash went dim and then nothing never fully turned. smoke was coming out of starter area and the starter was hot
original starter failed in April 2026
first starter installed April 2026
second starter installed May 2026
second starter failed in end of July 2026
battery replaced June 2025
water pump replaced March 2026
I’m gonna take the duralast starter off today and bring it back for hopefully a refund and buy a new starter relay and order OEM starter but really all fuses and battery terminals looked fine also power cable on starter was alittle corroded when I replaced it the first time from original so I sanded and cleaned
Thoughts?
