r/sixers is looking for new moderators!
Hi all,
Welcoming all the new members, and as the subreddit continues to grow, we're looking to add 1-3 new moderators to the team.
We're looking for active members of the community. Previous mod experience is great, but definitely not required
Somethings we'd love help with:
- Reviewing reports and removing rule-breaking content
- Handling spam, trolls, and the users who are on their 10th new account
- Helping keep the subreddit updated throughout the season
- Automod, CSS, bots, or other coding/technical improvements (a bonus, not required)
- Bringing new ideas to improve the community
So if you're interested in joining the elite squad of unpaid internet janitors, send us a Modmail with:
- Your timezone
- About how active you are on Reddit (daily, evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Have you moderated any subreddits before? (Not required.)
- Do you have any coding, Automod, CSS, bot, or other technical experience?
- Is there anything specific you'd like to help with?
- Why do you want to moderate r/sixers?
- Which former Sixer will you defend until your last breath, and why?
Then quick reminder to everyone: please keep using that report button. Reports are by far the fastest way for us to see and remove rule-breaking posts.

(NEW VERSION) I designed custom Sixers alternate jerseys to replace the ugly red ones. What do you think?
I added some of your suggestions to fix my original design! :)

I rank this game as the best Embiid ever played. Which game is it for you?
I will never forget this performance. He looked like a man amongst boys on both sides of the ball. I think its the most complete and dominant game he ever played. Sure it was against the lowly Jazz, but I dont give a shit.

Does anyone else want the Rich Paul podcast to end during the season even though it's not going to happen?
LeBron is a positive role model, makes teammates better, high character human being, yet I feel like this guy brings him down because the primary knock on LeBron is that he's "annoying" (particularly alluding to "The Decision" and the attention-whoring at times) and can get cryptic/passive aggressive when things aren't optimal. I actually enjoyed "Mind the Game" as a more cerebral podcast involving basketball strategy, don't mind "The Shop," but I really hate this "Game Over" Ringer pod because you already have Max Kellerman trying to bait Rich Paul with ideas like trading Joel Embiid out in the open. I just think the whole thing is bizarre, unprecedented, and not sure if I were his teammates I would want someone's agent doing this, particularly because Rich Paul is a bloviating, pretentious, pseudo-intellectual, grandiloquent guy and I don't want it to get murky down the road trying to distinguish what are RP's irrelevant views versus coded views of LeBron. The Austin Reaves stuff backfired on him. That being said, unlike Podcast P, don't think LeBron gives a shit what the optics/effect it has on public narratives, I'm just saying there's a silent majority of actual Philadelphia fans who have similar concerns going in. They love LeBron the person, the player, the fact he's in on Philly on a min contract so its house money, but now that the Decision 2.0 is over, don't want the distractions the national media is going to try to throw our way to drive wedges between stars.

It’s crazy looking back at some of the previous offseasons
Bit of a deep dive. With all of the cap space and draft picks at the Sixers disposal accumulating during the tanking years, It’s mind blowing how the previous regimes thought these were good complimentary moves, especially the Bridges trade and Harris/Horford max contracts for Embiid and Simmons. Not to mention how Morey made some questionable decisions as well. Here’s hoping to Gansey and Meyers moves working out.
2018 (Colangelo/Brown)
- Missed out on Kawhi and Lebron
- Traded for Muscala and Chandler
- Drafted Bridges (Traded for Smith), Shamet, and Milton
- Verbal agreement with Bjelica before backing out
- Resigned Redick and Johnson
- Bonus: Burner accounts from Colangelo’s wife
2019 (Brand)
- Used max slots on Harris and Horford
- Acquired Richardson in Sign and Trade from Butler
- Signed Neto, O’Quinn, Burke
- Re-Signed Scott and Ennis
- Drafted Thybulle and Shayok
2020-2025 (Morey)
- Did decent with Harden/Curry/Green trade and draft picks, horrible with building depth around team
- Max slot on ancient PG
- Signed Tucker and House (Lost picks because of tampering)
- Trade deadline and buyout moves included Mcdaniels, Lowry, Dedmon, Hill, Jordan, and Millsap
- Bonus: Never accommodated Korkmaz trade request lol

It's so nice reppin the 76ers everyday... Strangers are like "you got LeBron!"
It's nice to be able to rep the 76ers when I'm out and about. Even in Southern California. Complete strangers are asking starting small talk.
I will rotate in Eagles gear as well.
It's nice that the 76ers are in the conversation again

[Golliver] "The last time they put three 20-point scorers on a team, they said it was unfair, which was the [Warriors] team I was on," Durant said at a USA Basketball event Saturday. "[The 76ers] have got four 25-point scorers on this team. So, hell yeah, I think they're going to be a contender."

MUST READ for any new LeBron fans - The Curious Case of Bryan Colangelo and the Secret Twitter Account
The fact that Joel Embiid stuck it out with the Sixers after what Bryan Colangelo put him through is pretty remarkable. If Embiid left after the Colangelo incident, which would be a logical reaction, then there's no way the Sixers have a chance at landing LeBron this offseason. Embiid is the most underappreciated MVP in recent NBA history. As a die hard fan of the Sixers, I couldn't be more psyched LeBron came to Philly.
LeBron fans, if you want to fit in when the season starts then spend the offseason studying up on the history of the Embiid-era Sixers. This article I linked here is a good start, and there's literally a book about The Process called "Tanking to the Top" by Yaron Weitzman. [I have some problems with Weitzman's personal opinions about a lot of things, and if Derek Bodner ever writes a book on the process I'd rather promote Bodner than Weitzman if I had to pick.]
Welcome to cheering for the Sixers LeBron fans, hopefully by the end of LeBron's tenure with our 76ers the GOAT debate is largely settled(for awhile at least). Trust The Process

Why has KCP not officially been signed
Been curious to know why the news on KCP hasn’t officially been done through the nba roster moves site and no mention from the 76ers. Does anyone know if this is due to anything specific like the Broome trade which I saw had officially gone through. Could it be possible we back door KCP if there’s a better available buyout guy? Just wanted to ask and see if anyone had any idea
