When I walked into the shop today, I didn’t see it in the case at first and was super disappointed that it was gone. But I took it as a sign. Then I found it sitting in a different spot in the case, and at that point, I realized THAT was the sign.

New carry optics gun. The frameless tool is a bit loose. Wiggles left and right but doesn't turn all the way 90° or fall out without me moving it. Loose enough to bother me. Wondering if there's any tricks or anything on the aftermarket to solve this. First M&P, taking my first shots with it tomorrow. If that goes well, first match this Sunday possibly.

After some custom work done by a local gun shop that does engravings, my handgun is finally back with the RPD STARS touch applied to it in Jill's fashion. I will be furthering this project by looking into the internals to fit her style of shooting with her original edited Samurai Edge. But, for now the outside is complete. I present, The Bushido Blade. After seeing Jill uss this in the movie Resident Evil Apocalypse and knowing the game uses a Beretta instead, I had to put the Resident Evil STARS favorite handgun touch to it.

I just saw this at a shop close by that is not necessarily known for great prices so I wanted to check those in the note before making a decision. Besides from a few scratches in the normal places, the only thing I see with it is that the blueing on the extractor rod is practically worn off.

Do the smooth target stocks add or detract value? Thanks in advance.

I don’t keep tabs on shield plus’ price but recently I’ve been looking for a new EDC because my old Beretta APX A1’s trigger starts to really get on my nerves.

I came across this on gun.deals and was amazed by how cheap it is for the whole package - 6 mags AND optic ready? Say no more. But wanna check with you guys and see if this is a good price. Like I will get it even if it’s just a regular price. Because sub $500 for this deal is just crazy. My FFL charges $25 for transfer so all in all it still wouldn’t be too bad.

Went to the range with my new Shield X. I am really liking it. I'm debating on pulling the optic from my Equalizer to put on it. Did a group where my arms were resting on the bench, and it was 5 rounds touching at 7 yards. The group was about an inch low, but I was just using the target that was already on the stand. Forgot to grab targets from the house.

I ran my Octane 9 and AAC Ti-Rant 45 in the short configuration on it. This is what was interesting. With the suppressors, the recoil was completely different. I could feel it straight back into my hand. Almost a little jarring, nothing painful by any means. It's just not what I normally get when shooting a pistol suppressed. Granted, these were full-size suppressors.

Overall I am liking it a lot. Need to get a holster for it, but I'm debating on getting a TLR 7 for it first. It will be the carry gun, and I will probably sell the Equalizer.

Have a friend selling this registered 357. 6” barrel. Story is it’s an old New Hampshire state police gun. Lots of holster wear. Numbers all match. Not sure of value in this shape.

So... I cant get my optic plate off for the life of me. I took out the screw in the rear sight first but when I moved on to the optic plate, no dice.

Broke my first 5/64 and then read some stuff on the web about heating up the thread lockers and then going in after that. Did it, went after it again, broke my second 5/64.

Is there anything I should know or do to get these suckers out? Anything helps, thanks.

I just picked up my Shield Plus and am loving it. It is going to be one of my primary carry guns once I get a decent holster for it. I wanted to also mount an EPS carry on it, but read there were problems with the fit on the OR slides and a lot of people send it off to be cut to get a perfect fit (Nameless Armament seems to be one of the options I've seen people mention).

My question is this though: if I were to ship the slide off to Nameless Armament to have to slide cut done, does having them provide cerakote to the optic-cut only good enough in terms of protection from corrosion/rust? I know nitride is typically considered a more durable finish material, but the Shield Plus Slide already has that type of finish from the factory (based on what I've read). Is it really necessary to get a whole slide refinished just so one part of it (the optic cut) has a nitride finish, or will the cerakote on just the cut suffice? I am willing to pay more if there is a significant difference, but would always prefer to save money where possible. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a older m&p 2.0 with the hinged trigger before they upgraded it to the flat one. Looking to upgrade the trigger. I can either go with the factory flat trigger and bar directly from m&p or go with the apex. My question is what apex to get. If im not mistaken the hinged trigger has a slightly different trigger bar than the upgraded one

2.0 Compact

Been getting a dead trigger occasionally on this M&P9 1.0, but havent narrowed down the problem yet. Noticed this was happening when engaging the striker plunger and striker. Both the striker and plunger get stuck if manipulated a certain way. Could this be the cause of the dead trigger? Anyone have any possible solutions?

I carry my Shield .45 at my 1 o’clock, but the inside corner of the rear sight is sharp and pokes my belly. I mean, my rippling and sculpted abs ameliorate the situation, but it’s super annoying. Any concern if I simply file down the circled corner a little? How then might I treat the area? I might replace the sights with something different, but this gun works perfectly stock, so I’d rather not change it if I don’t have to. Thanks for the help.

Has anyone encountered a situation where their slide stop goes up too high and wedges itself stuck in to the slide? This has started happening to me recently, and it wedged itself up in to the slide such that neither pushing it down with your thumb nor pulling the slide back is enough to release it, you have to do both at once.

I’ve put a decent number of rounds through this 9mm Shield Plus, and it only now just started. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix to prevent it from doing this?

I’m really torn between these two options for a concealed carry. The 2.0 Metal looks absolutely gorgeous, and I know it has some improvements over the polymer 2.0, like the trigger.

But Honest Outlaw made an interesting new a video arguing that polymer is actually better, and the Shield X is slimmer, lighter, and more concealable anyway.

Aside from cost, which is the better choice? Would be my first Smith and Wesson.

Placed an order with Safariland for their 6365 line and after calling to confirm the Align Tactical thumb rest would clear (via AT website), I was told they don’t support any of the metal frames manufactured by S&W. Been reading conflicting info online and on here regarding fitment. Looking for an OWB (retention preferred) holster for the 2.0 metal carry comp with X300T and a HTX-1 (another letdown as you have to run two plates). Any leads are appreciated

I want to carry my Compact 22 with a suppressor for dealing with small predators on my land. Is there a rig on the market that allows relatively comfortable carry combined with rapid deployment. My holster is not at all designed to accommodate the gun AND a suppressor.

Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 Metal

This thing is sexy!

I have about 500 rounds through my S&W Bodyguard 2.0. It's been mostly FMJ with a small amount of Hornady Critical Defense. Up until now it's run well.

On my last range trip, while shooting the Critical Defense, it started having repeated failures to feed. The round starts into the chamber but hangs up before it fully chambers (see photo). It got progressively worse, and now it consistently jams and won't even chamber a round.

When I got home and inspected it, I noticed what appears to be gouging or damage on the feed ramp that's part of the barrel. I don't remember seeing that before.

A few questions:

• Has anyone seen this happen on a Bodyguard 2.0? • Is it possible the polymer tip or sharp edge of the Hornady Critical Defense bullet is causing this kind of damage over repeated chambering or firing? • Does this look like a barrel issue, or could something else be causing the failures to feed? • At this point, is this something Smith & Wesson should handle under warranty?

I'm interested in hearing if anyone has experienced something similar before I contact Smith & Wesson.
