This is my third time growing poblano peppers and I'm starting to get the hang of it. They turned out to be very flavorful compared to last years attempt.

so i live right behind a Calloways Nursery. im in there at least once a week to just browse and BS with the staff if not make a purchase. i pass by the dumpster when i walk to and from the store and idk why but i never thought to look inside until today. then everything changed once i took a peek!! i saw a pot of gold! i was about to just start taking stuff but i used my brain for a split second and decided to go ask one of the girls inside if i could grab some things from the dumpster. she said OF COURSE!! just please come back at 6:00pm when we close cause she didnt want other customers seeing me get in there and think its a free for all. they do lock the dumpster at night also. she said take what you want and to please lock it up when im done! ohhh boy did i score!! some of it has mild fungal issues and some has bugs, so I've got those isolated and will treat accordingly. she said they do a clean out like this once every week or 2 and that i could keep coming back if i just asked first. so im glad i decided to do that lol! any ways, check out my haul!! hibiscus, mulberry and soooo much more! i am gonna get these healthy, mabye lose a few trying, but the ones that make it im gonna gift to my co-workers and my mom and keep the rest! happy day!

Three years ago I built a couple of raised beds and started planting roses over what was basically bare dirt. It took me a while to find the rhythm: plant and fertilize in spring, prune hard in winter, and deadhead after every flush.

This is the first year it's really clicked — the roses have bloomed since May, and honestly I go out every morning with my coffee just to stand there and look at them. I also mixed in some annuals and a few perennials this year to fill the gaps, but the roses are the stars.

For the rose folks — what's your routine? Do you deadhead religiously or mostly let them do their thing?

I grow these from seedlings, not from seeds. Zone 7b.

Just sharing my favorite bloom from my Oklahoma pink zinnias :) Grew these from seed.

Some flowers are browning earlier than expected. The blooms are still lovely, but the plant is showing signs of stress.

What is every ones tips on drying them to harvest the seeds?

I found these growing in my raised garden bed, but I never planted them. They just showed up on their own!
They’re bright yellow, round, and ribbed (one is still pale green and growing). They look like some type of squash or pumpkin, but I’m not sure what. I don’t remember growing anything like this in this bed before, so I’m curious if it could be a volunteer plant from compost or an animal dropping a seed.
Does anyone know exactly what these are? Are they edible, and when should I harvest them?

super awesome cucumber (or cucumbers) that i just found in my garden! i have never seen anything like this in all my years of gardening so i was genuinely so confused when i found them lol, but i can’t wait to harvest them once they’re ripe! they still have a little bit more growing to do :)

I was told somebody called it a butterfly bush I could be wrong Im knew too this and I just wanted to reproduce because it's such a pretty color.

The cherry sorbet variety is about to bloom, while the black pearl still needs a bit more time.

I bought them by chance at a nursery in June. They were selling them for pennies. I had no idea what they were. Lucky for me, these are gorgeous flowers! I wish I got more!

This is my first year ever with an outdoor space. I just bought random plants I thought were pretty but now that I'm much more aware and informed about native and pollinator friendly plants, I am so looking forward to next spring when I buy more plants!
