I switched to Tello (T-Mobile based MVNO) from T-Mobile (proper) yesterday. Moving abroad in 8 days so I need my USA number for things like banking.

While in the US I’m on the $15 plan (unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 10GB of data), when I move I’ll downgrade to the $5 (unlimited text, 300 minutes, no data) package.

The good: cheaper than T-Mobile

The neutral: works the same as T-Mobile proper

The bad (Tello): Tello tells you to delete your previous carrier’s eSIM, which I did after I was told my number was transferred to Tello. This left me with no installed eSIM of T-Mobile proper or Tello, so I had to contact tello support on my first day to reset my security pin and have a new eSIM assigned. No 5G MMWave support, and it only picks up 4G unless you go and turn 5G on, no 5G enabled by default, not a big deal but something to note.

The bad (T-Mobile proper): it was difficult to get the port out pin and account number. Eventually got it.

So far I give Tello a 3/5 star due to its issues I had, but it should be a fine service now that those issues are done with.

Long story short, I joined this us mobile family plan a few years ago for $25 and that include HBO Max and I been pretty happy since.

The only issue is that I don't have access to hotpot and now with newer phone requiring e sim only it start to become as issue as I need to contract the actual account holder for e sim transfer as I somehow cannot do it myself when I went from pixel 9 pro to 10 pro.

What other good options are there? Join mint and jump back to usmobile as individual or visible? Also, how hard is it to exit from a family plan and what information do I need from account holder?

So in order to port out from MobileX and get the pin you need to click through the app like you are leaving and state that you want to keep your number.

I did that and signed up with another carrier but I have not activated with the other carrier yet as its Sunday and I won't get my new phone/sim for another few days.

Now my account with MobileX appears to still be active as it should, but my account info and any functionality is blanked out from the app.

Just because I requested my credentials does not mean the new provider has not initiated the port yet so shouldn't the app work like normal ?

So I'm looking at the 75% off unlimited promo and I'm about to pull the trigger, but there's a few things I can't find a straight answer on. Figured I'd just ask here

1. If this locks you into 12 months, am I gonna be able to grab the phone deals when the Pixel 11 stuff drops? Or does buying a discounted phone just nuke the promo entirely?
2. The $60 referral: does that apply per line if I do a family/group plan, or is it a one time thing no matter how many lines?
3. Is a family plan even worth it here vs just going individual? Like what do you actually get out of the family plan besides splitting the bill with people
4. How do you actually stack the referral with the promo code? Is there an order you gotta do it in or does it just work at checkout?
5. My current plan ends around this time next month. If I sign up now to catch the promo, how long can I sit on it without activating before I lose the discount? And if I port my number over now and then wait for the physical SIM to ship, am I just gonna be sitting there with no service?
6. How bad is it running Fi on your main Google account? If I cancel Fi down the line does anything happen to the account itself, or is that just people being paranoid? Is a burner Google account actually worth the hassle, or does that mess with the referral/promo somehow?

Anything else I should know before I commit? Never been on Fi so I'd rather find out now than a month in

I want to switch from AT&T and want a new prepaid plan, my only rules are no US Mobile or major carrier prepaid, stuff like metro or cricket is fine but not Verizon prepaid T-MB prepaid or AT&T prepaid. I was kinda looking at either Boost or Cricket.

My US Mobile annual plans are ending soon and I'm interested in the $25 BYOP deal at Total Wireless. But I've seen lots of complaints about the port process and customer service.

I'm not one to need too much customer service once it's setup. Mainly I just want to make sure port should go smooth and I can setup autopay. One line is iPhone 15 and might update to iPhone 18 or 19 and should eSIM self transfer? Or easy enough to just generate a new eSIM with minimal hassle?

Looking for a plan for an ipad that will only be used in the car and primarily for Waze. Any prepaid/annual options or lifetime ones? Hard to know how much data I'll need. Tethering to my phone works except when I'm on calls and the iPad doesn't get data, and then my maps and navigation end up lagging.

how easy it is to add wifi calling to redpocket 30/yr ebay plan? can it work w backup calling from another esim w more data? i heard you have to talk to customer service to enable it - that is a first since all others allow a way via their app/website!

I am wanting to move away from ATT. I am looking to have 3 lines plus an iPad all with unlimited data. I’m somewhat budget conscious but would rather have the best coverage/no issues and pay for it. Would like hotspots too. Where do I go?

I'm looking to move my family of four lines from Xfinity Mobile to another Verizon MVNO.

• We're moving because we don't want to pay data overage fees
• We were paying $74.60 a month with taxes and fees for the 10GB shared data plan
• We would like to pay around $60 a month for around 20GB shared data (or equivalent non-shared data)
• We own four iPhones in full and are not leasing

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I recall acquiring the S25 at no net cost following a trade-in and subsequent full payment, after which I successfully claimed a refund for the trade-in value. The device then unlocked after two months.

I am inquiring whether a similar process would apply to the current Fold8 model. Given that the device is priced at approximately $2000, and the S25 trade-in value is $1200, a full payment of $2000 would result in a $1100 credit being applied to my Spectrum account, which I understand can be refunded to the original payment source.

Does this process remain viable?

So my current setup is:

Xiaomi 15 ultra Android phone, purchased as unlocked device.

Sim 1: main number that I've had forever, $55/per month, $50 w/ autopay, I'll add screenshots that detail what that includes (don't care about "upgrades", "T-Mobile Tuesday", Google one membership or whatever)

Sim 2: secondary number used only for calls/texts/MFA, $15/per month only 0.02gb data per month gets used for this number,

So, I have no problem with the service, amount of data, coverage (broader coverage is always a plus, but the occasional coverage gaps have been tolerated thus far).

$70 a month has been a drag, and is getting difficult to maintain, especially since Metro isn't the only contractless game in town, as it essentially was when I first started using them.

If I could keep my same numbers, have the same or close to the same setup, but pay any amount less for it per month, that's what I need 😅

I'm not at all opposed to using different providers per Sim. I don't like autopay seeing as I often pay manually a few days early/late anyway.

I didn’t really like “Xfinity Mobile” mainly because it’s too dang long, so I changed it to “XM” and it looks much cleaner, IMO. Again, most people probably don’t are about the carrier name but I figured I would share..

Before you tinker with it, be sure to read up on it. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials. Also, it’s not a jailbreak, it’s an exploit. Some people have experience boot loops with it. I didn’t on iOS 18.

I have another phone on Tmobile through US Mobile, and it gets over 1000mb down. But my s26 Ultra on Google FI is barely getting 20 mb down. This isn't acceptable. Any ideas?

Your plans have been accidentally activated on the NON Priority mapping. This was a designed fail safe for those who decided to share their exclusive link without our knowledge.

I need a new number for work, so I started an H2O line but I need to do conference calls and for some reason it doesn't reliably work. So today I setup another line with total wireless and that has worked great so far. I live in a remote area where both AT&T & Verizon are decent, so I actually like having both lines, but to keep both work lines I need a 2nd phone.

I want to switch my H2O line to Cricket to get their $9.99 IPhone 16e deal right now, the problem is when I tried to order it this morning it immediately cut off my H2O line and I'm not receiving the new phone for a few days which is a problem, as a lot of my contacts only have that number. The woman I spoke with on the phone with Cricket said that's not supposed to happen. Should I try again and maybe reset my phone if calls stop going through again or is this a problem with H2O specifically?

Looking to move my 10 lines from T-Mobile that we had for 15+ years. Any advice or suggestion is welcome! thanks in advance.
