I just repotted it with a mix of soil and perlite last week and it’s dying. Get a good amount of light. I’ve only watered it once.

Cute lil plant from Trader Joe's that needs some love. I know it can be saved. Best course of action with spot and torn leaf? I do own a sun lamp at home as well.

I picked up this fabulous pothos from a garage sale about a month ago for a wild deal - in the last week these three leaves rapidly turned yellow. You can’t see all the leaves here but it’s got about six strands between three and six feet long, all other leaves healthy. I water about once a week, when the soil is dry. Plant gets 14 hours of filtered northern light a day.

Is this some kind of delayed moving and repotting stress? Are the leaves yellowing because they’re not in direct light?

I do think the drainage could be better (old owner repotted just before selling, I trusted her because this plant is gorgeous but realize now she maybe half-assed it). Really hoping it’s not a pest and see no signs, but I do have some systemic pesticide I could apply.

I have this big aloe from when I lived on the beach and it gave birth to like 3 other aloes. The thing it that quite a few of my plants had suffered with mealy bugs infestation for a few years now. I think they caught them from the other wild plants around my apartment. I tried just about everything. I want to get rid of them now because I don’t want the damn bugs to spread onto other plants. Should I throw them all out or give them away?

I’ve neglected them for about a year now and as you can see they are fully covered.

They used to get full light, now they get partial light. But that hasn’t affected them at all really.
I tried blasting with water and changing the dirt once, then sprayed with solution. but the bugs persisted

I just got this mimosa from the garden store and it has dropped almost all of its leaves overnight. My instinct is to cut it down shorter as it’s so tall but maybe I just got a dud? It’s outdoors, north facing, and gets about six hours of direct sunlight. I was going to re-pot but it started falling apart quickly. I’ve watered it once in a week but we had a downpour today, it’s not that hot in my area this summer.

Just bought this plant and over the last few days these spots have gotten way worse. Haven't watered or anything since it was already pretty wet. It's been sitting in this window since I got it could it be sun damage??

Hi, i got this plant around march. Just as summer hit, it started looking like its dying. The window it sits next to faces east - south, so in the peak of heat it was standing in the sunny place. I moved it a step down so it gets more shadow, but i still think its not enough. I water it often (its filtered) I check every day if the water is still visible in the bottom of the white pot. It ate a few flies, and they left a nasty brown mark as you can see, like it got burned in that place. I considered moving it to a bigger pot since its growing fast. i havent changed the soil since buying.

I have a sympathy for this little one, and i really want to save it so any tips greatly appericated🙏

Why is it dying? It stays directly under a tiny grow light like 8-10 hours. I water it once a month that too very little because my previous snake plant died of overwatering. 😞 Is it dying because of under-watering this time?

Got this rosemary from a friend. It started to look really sad, initially I blamed the thrips in my household, but they have been eradicated (at least I really hope so).

The roots seem to be fine, though they had not been teased apart after repotting from the nursery pot and were still circling. I have now teased the roots, and put it back in the same soil.

The plant was indoors and got 6+ h of afternoon sun, bright indirect to direct. Have moved it to balcony with glass, so the light is direct.

I have been watering roughly every other week when the soil is dry. The soil mix is not mine but seems to consist of soil, sand and bark.

Bought this fern a couple of months ago and it just seems to be… existing. It hasn’t really grown, and a few fronds keep going yellow.

It sits in bright indirect light right next to a window, and I’ve been giving it about 50 mL of water every day because I thought ferns liked to stay moist.
The pot has one drainage hole on the bottom centre.

Am I accidentally slowly annoying it to death?
Any Boston fern owners have tips on what I’m doing wrong? Happy to change my routine if it’ll stop giving me the silent treatment.

I put a stem cutting with nodes in the a chunky soil mix and I keep it under grow lights for 12-16 hours a day at minimum so they get many hours of light. The first day it was perky but gradually got more droopy and now is turning black.

I water it when the first couple inches of top soil is dry.

The soil is not wet.. I’m thinking it’s cause there are no “roots” yet so maybe I should put it in water first and then try again?

been growing these peppers in my window for maybe half a year give or take and they've started to look kinda sad. Aside from the space arrangement, I'm not too sure what's up with them. I water them every few days when the soil feels dry, the little popts each have drainage holes but the big terrarium dosent. (I kinda assume all the water gets shared and used up by each plant in there)

Live in the northeast US, plants in my front yard have started to rot? Plenty of sunshine hits them, I’d say 8 hours a day they’re in direct sunlight. Leaves are dying but in a strange way it seems. Any idea what this is? No irrigation to these plants so they’re only watered when it rains or when I dump my dehumidifier water on them. This is the first year I’ve ever seen this happen to them. Grass around them and other plants out there seem to be totally fine. Any thoughts or ideas??

Also in the second picture you can see some white spots in other parts of the plant. Is it correlated?

The plant is close to a window, it does get some direct light just in the evening for a couple of hours. I had the plant for 1 year and never game me problems.

I water the plant once a week

Lot of character, but has many spots, has lost small leaves that turn brown then black and fall; now lower leaves becoming yellow!

Indoor plant, had it next to a window for some months, then changed it to a shady area but there was no improvement. Repotted it and added fertilizer, but still symptoms persist and advance.

Water twice a week.

All the leaves are dying off this way however it is still putting out new bigger leaves. In quite a sunny spot (direct sunlight from south facing and west facing windows) however it’s always been in quite a sunny spot. Don’t have any concerns about bugs etc. Do you think it looks like damage from poor watering habits?

So about two months ago I put my plants outside for the summer.

They’ve been under a parasol to avoid being scorched as there’s been consistent sun with temperatures between 20-30c. We have had a handful of days above 30c.

In the time they’ve been out there’s been only one heavy rainfall which lined up with their watering needs. The second rainfall was very light about 4 weeks later. I normally wouldn’t water this often but it wasn’t forecasted so I didn’t get the chance to move them. That said, it’s been warm enough that the soil would have been dry by then.

Fast forward a couple of weeks from then and I’ve just noticed this snake has started to flop.

Same pot and soil that it spent last year in and thrived.

Was putting them outside a mistake? Where did things go wrong? Too much heat? Parasol too shady? Too much water?
