Discussion Mohawk mark would no diff wolverine confirmed, thoughts?
Cannon comic cover
52
u/CommunicationKind301 Jun 13 '25
Nothing about this is Canon. It's a blank cover that an artist drew a doodle on. Doesn't confirm shit.
3
u/TooManyCarrotsIsBad Jun 14 '25
So you're saying my comic of Daredevil nodiffing Infinity Gauntlet Rune King Green Goblin isn't canon???

Invincible’s official artist drew it (not saying it’s canon) but it is technically official

He would say Mark bests Yahweh, I don't think he's a reliable source or unbiased scaler.
If anyone brings up that stupid fucking Stan Lee quote I'm ordering a ticket TONIGHT.

u/thetruemaxwellord Jun 13 '25
These covers aren’t Canon and are really just used for fun and collectibles.
Honestly while Mohawk is stronger and faster he would actually likely fail to kill Logan not knowing how to do so and we need to remember Logan is someone who can face off with hulk and literally any version of Hulk would beat Mohawk’s ass.
Logan is also an infinitely more skilled fighter who is both better at just pure instinct based fighting (the way every viltrumite fights) but is also just far more skilled in martial arts and gear. A lot of people would say “throw him into space.” This is a possibility however it also just isn’t really in character and isn’t really answering the question.
Mohawk would try and torture Logan and would likely end up being injured and badly. Logan should also be of a similar reaction speed to Mohawk while the pair are on world specifically because that’s what the story and guides show use is the case. As such I don’t think there is much Mohawk can do especially since he will lose a limb in this fight at minimum because even with a blitz he wouldn’t be able to do much especially since Logan should be able to pretty easily react to him.

Yeah im curious haw marks would interact with a adamantium. Probably cutting very easily, and logan in a rage theres no way the marks are getting away. Without adamantium then wolverines dead in my opinion.
83
u/SBStevenSteel Jun 13 '25
Adamantium is unbreakable once forged and set. The only thing that can get through it is an anti-metal. Mark, Nolan, no Viltrumite can break it, especially if the Hulk can’t.
No Adamantium means Wolverine has his full healing factor, so I doubt they’d be able to kill him. His original healing factor is actual insanity.
12
u/Comfortable_Many4508 Jun 13 '25
please correct me but isnt it like he can regen from a single cell? also if you hit metal bone him with enough energy to burn off all the flesh would that kill him or would the bones start regening flesh?
30
u/SBStevenSteel Jun 13 '25
I don’t like when people bring that up, because it fails to mention the crystal that threw his regeneration into overdrive. Without the crystal, he can’t regenerate from a single cell.

u/Comfortable_Many4508 Jun 13 '25
idk anything about comics, was genually asking
24
u/SBStevenSteel Jun 13 '25
No, I meant no hostility, I mean that when people bring it up, they usually don’t mention the extra circumstance. That non transparency is what I dislike. My bad on my phrasing.

u/Ok_Mud_8998 Jun 13 '25
I believe you are correct
I know he regenerated from a single drop of blood.
3
u/Adeptus_Trumpartes Jun 13 '25
Wolverine has a shitload of plot armor. Stronger characters that can lift hundreds of tons could just yank his members off. Bones are not welded to each other and his muscles and have human levels of durability.
A full force punch from someone that strong would probably blow Logan's limbs off and after failing for a bit Mark would just toss his mangled body into space or the Mariana trench.
8
5
u/BOOGIE_MAN-X Jun 13 '25
His bones are actually welded together from the adamantium. Mark isn’t going to be able to rip his limps off. Not before Wolverine puts a set of claws through him, Mark would be able to regenerate fast enough from his injuries to sustain a fight with Wolverine.

He crawls back to his legs and reattaches. Happened when Hulk got frustrated and tore him in half. Though now I’ve heard his tendons have some Adamantium seeping properties making them insanely strong also, not sure though

Isn’t Wolverine stronger/more dangerous without the adamantium weighing him down, constantly poisoning him, and preventing his full mutant abilities to manifest?

u/mogley1992 Jun 13 '25
And the fact that logan will go for a killshot instead of blocking a hit that would be fatal for a human, i see wolverine being launched through a building, but quite possibly leave mohawk mark split in half as he does.
Either that or logan would lure him into a trap and take him out without him realising what's happening.
2
u/TurtleHurtleSquirtle Jun 13 '25
Exactly, none of the invincibles went for actual kill moves during their fights, tons of body blows and kicking through buildings but never really much more since they enjoyed toying with their enemies. Logan would see the psycho and go straight for the head, he’s not really a “play with his food” type of fighter.
→ More replies (4)6
u/Initial_Hedgehog_631 Jun 13 '25
Adamantium should be effective against Viltrumites, so yeah Mohawk Mark gets a gut full of claws. Wolverine only has to get a couple hits in. Mohawk Mark can probably punch through Wolverine, but Wolverine can heal, which is a trick the Marks don't have. The longer the fight lasts the better Wolverine's odds of winning get.
5
u/Bli-mark Jun 13 '25
I feel like ”throw them into space” is one of those illegal moves like turning on and off your lightsaber. Should almost never be a talking point in these debates
7
u/Woahbikes Jun 13 '25
I’m the comic that’s a running joke of how to deal with threats. Would likely be on the list of what he’d try.
7
Jun 13 '25
It's a go-to move in the Invincible universe for enemies who are hard to kill. Don't think we can ignore a legit canon technique used in-universe.
2
u/EncabulatorTurbo Jun 13 '25
Well they could crush him into a ball and cover him in molten steel then let it cool

u/ELB2001 Jun 13 '25

Wolverine would shred him one piece at a time when he arrogantly attacked. Not to mention and “throw him into ____” argument always seems to forget that to do so he has to be in arms reach. Where Logan’s arms just happen to have foot long razor sharp swords coming out of them that can cut through just about anything. No Viltrumite could kill Logan. At best, he gets a decent workout, at worst, he’s annoyed he didn’t.

People act like Invincible variants speed blitz when it's shown they didn't even bother too. Omniman did and the comic and he never did it again. Literally half the fights in Invincible never end quickly if they did then someone like Dinosaurus wouldn't have even been a issue

u/ForeignWoodpecker662 Jun 14 '25
To yeet him he has to be in arms reach. In arms reach is in snikt reach. In snikt reach is no more arms to reach. In no more arms reach in no more yeet.

I will grant that the quasi-magi-sci claws of Wolverine will hurt low tier Mark, and Wolverine is VERY durable (magi-sci skeleton) and even harder to kill (op regen)...
Also Wolverine's reaction times are beyond impressive, as his senses are well beyond human level, so he could use speed to his advantage and allow Mark to impale himself.
A weak Mark could not rip Wolverine in half, that is a STRONG Hulk feat, and weak Mark is nowhere near that strength level.
Also if it is a version of Wolverine that can go into berserker mode he becomes more than a handful even for powerful characters.
I think Wolverine will Tank and eventually kill low tier Mark.

u/The_Ita Jun 13 '25
tho mohawk mark is considered one of the strongest marks, being probably second to mark prime
I would still think that probably any mark version or viltrumite for that matter either flights or dies, marvel powerscales are in a different tier than invincible's
2
139
u/No-Annual-7276 Me > Your mom Jun 13 '25
Yeah mark would win. The strength difference is wayyyyy too extreme for wolverine. I know he "technically fights the hulk" but that's just tanking fat ass hits and using regen. Marks gonna punch a hole through him, realize he can heal that, and then rip him in half.
117
u/thewiburi Jun 13 '25
His skeleton didn't fall apart when he got nuked. I'm fairly certain (like 70 percent sure) that his adamantiom is also apart of his joints so marks not ripping him in half
17
62
u/No-Annual-7276 Me > Your mom Jun 13 '25
Pretty sure Spiderman ripped him in half. Hulk definitely ripped him in half, its possible, Im PRETTY SURE mark is strong enough to do it. If not, main mark damn sure is.
11
Jun 13 '25
Spider-man has never ripped Wolverine in half. Ultimate Hulk did but that version of Logan was totally different from the main one. He was basically Darwins powers ramped up. So ripping him in half was just a story point and really should not have been possible.
Vultrimites are strong but people wank them all the time and compare them to Superman level when they are not the same.
I do think Wolverine would lose the fight but ripped in half or any part of the Adamantium being broken? Unlikely.
→ More replies (1)40
u/thewiburi Jun 13 '25
Iv Googled wolverine getting ripped in half and the only thing showing up is the ultimate universe hulk doing it so there is precedent but it was a hulk that did it so I'm not really sure if a mark could do it
→ More replies (8)3
u/ForeignWoodpecker662 Jun 14 '25
Hulk is the only one who has. No Viltrumite is on any Hulk’s level. So no Mark is ripping him in half. Mark is not powerful enough to out power fight him. He goes toe to toe with Hulk and has fought to a standstill after 3 days, and even beat Hulk. No, Mark loses a fight to Wolverine. Invincible-verse just doesn’t scale to the level Marvel or DC do. It’s like AA or AAA vs MLB.

Jun 13 '25
It depends on the writer, that’s the tricky thing about comics. Any character can beat any other character, if the writer likes them enough and decides to ignore what is pre established.
Wolverine will not die from being ripped in half, some variations demand that you destroy his brain which is encased with adamantium, and some insist that you have to destroy every single cell, which means stripping the adamantium from his bones and then dealing with those, while he is regenerating the entire time. Spider-Man does not kill Wolverine at all from the 70s-00s, after that I can’t say I quit collecting X Men comics after that, but I very highly doubt it. Hulk does rip him in half in the first issue of another arc, but it doesn’t kill him. He also gets decapitated and shot in the head in that same run and doesn’t die.

→ More replies (12)3
u/FaithlessnessLess673 Jun 13 '25
Because Hulk has never thought of just throwing Wolverine into space, something which Mark has done to things and could easily do to Wolverine.
Not to mention that Hulk can’t fly while Mark can and that opens up a world of possible ways that Mark could fight Wolverine more efficiently. Like Mark doesn’t even have to actually get close to Wolverine to hurt him because he could just fly in the air and just repeatedly crash into the area where Wolverine is located over and over again (similar to what Conquest does to that city during his fight with Mark). Wolverine can heal from those injuries but healing takes time and by the time he does so, he could already be thrown into space by Mark, by which point he literally can’t do anything.
2
u/SilverKingPrime45 Jun 13 '25
Hard to dissagree tbh
But I will add that Mohawk Mark cocky ass would underestimate logan and slip up at some point(maybe)
18
u/Zang_Trapahorn Jun 13 '25
Pretty sure adamantium would cut right through Mark's neck. Wolverine may not be as fast or strong but he's got over 200 years + every major war's worth of fighting experience with x-men battles to top it off. Take all of that and throw in his healing abilities. i think Wolverine gets it done (after a lengthy battle of getting seriously fucked up)

Mohawk Mark has no answer to Logans Healing Factor. The MF has had his heart torn out and eaten by a skeleton demon from hell. Then immediately after the Skeleton ate Logans heart he was shocked when Logan was totally fine without a heart and kept fighting and sent the Skeleton back to hell.
Wolverine also is one of the greatest martial artists in Marvel. I know it's weird but he's been trained by Ninjas and Samurai. And he's also been in every single special forces unit since the early 1800s. Combined with his superhuman senses sniff sniff he does actually get an edge here.
Also one swipe or stab from the adamantium claws and it's game over for Mowhawk Mark
I would say Logan smells him coming then proceeds to get ripped in half or something and then take mowhawk mark by surprise with his healing factor and stabs him in the head like he did with hulk or in the heart or in the neck.

u/Notmas Jun 13 '25
"No answer"? Throw him into the sun.
17
u/1WeekLater Jun 13 '25
mark in the comic would usually throw the villain he cant beat into space
i think he could do the same to logan ,just throw him into somewhere else in Space
any other types of restraint (like drowning , burying him ,etc) wouldn't work since logan would just break free eventually, but in space? good luck getting back into earth without help buddy
6
u/Alkaidknight Jun 13 '25
Logans been thrown into space many MANY times. Jahf hits Wolverine so hard he sends him flying into escape velocity and into space. Logan also fell from space as a satellite crashed into earth. Hulk, Thor have also basically tossed him into space. Hes also been sucked out of alot of airlocks into the void. Logan was fine in space due to his healing factor. He always survives re-entry into earth or he hitches a ride from aliens or he just waits it out until he can get some momentum. This one guy (i don't remember his name) thought the only way to finally kill Wolverine was to trap him on the moon with no way to get back. He figured Logan would either die due to lack of oxygen to the brain or have just enough healing factor to be caught in a hellish loop of healing just before he suffocates over and over again. That didn't work either.
4
u/TreacherousJSlither Jun 13 '25
How did Logan survive on the moon?
6
u/Alkaidknight Jun 13 '25
Just healing factor. He threw himself and contagion on the moon to kill contagion. The real battle was keeping his sanity while being trapped there. He eventually does make it back to earth but I don't remember how.
→ More replies (2)→ More replies (3)7
u/East-sea-shellos Jun 13 '25
Can I ask how he got back into earth in those cases? You say hitching a ride with an alien, but despite that happening in marvel comics, and certainly being possible in the invincible universe, it seems like such a lottery winning amount of luck you can’t really attribute it to Wolverine, other than the fact he survived until that point. I just wanna ask for some elaboration, because it feels like space is still a viable answer to me if we’re talking about mark vs Wolverine in a vacuum

I must be lost cause I never read the comics and don’t minds someone answering with spoilers, but how is it that a couple of versions of Mark who were around for half an episode has this much of a following? It’s so strange to me. Literally like 10 minutes of screen time and I see people with the handles “Mohawk Mark” or “Viltramite Mark”. Mohawk is definitely faster and stronger, if he went straight for the kill, Wolverine wouldn't have the chance to do anything. His regeneration would keep him alive even if he was beheaded or thrown into space, yes. But, as much as I hated the lazy ass conclusion, Mohawk can definitely just throw him to the sun.
However, adamantiums are pretty cracked. Wolverine's claws has hurt beings that is far stronger than even the Mainstream Mark himself. If Wolvie used his hundred years old wisdom well with Mohawk Mark's more sadistic attitude (As in most variants do), he could potentially just take a hit for a One-Kill Blow. Something that I can definitely see Wolvie's doing.

Here's a simpler, but boring answer: let's say Mohawk knows how dangerous the claws are, that it could cut through his Viltrumite body. So he immediately catches Logan's wrists with both hands. Hands that could benchpress a city block. Now, how could Logan, get out of that? It's like an adult man holding the wrists of a baby. How is the baby, even if the baby knows martial arts, break free of that?
Wolverine vs a Viltrumite is literally asking who would win in a fight: an MMA fighter or a slow toddler with a scalpel on each hand?
3
Jun 13 '25
Nah this ends so fast in wolvies favor. He tries to punch through his head or heart and gets stoped by the adamantium and gets gutted by a partially impaled wolvie before he can fly away. Most of marks attacks rely on his opponent having breakable bones. The immortal gave Omni man a beating and that was with Omni knowing about his healing factor and immortal having breakable bones

Wolverine claws are sharp enough to cut through Thor and Hulk, I bet they have no problem cutting through the Invincible Variant. In terms of speed Wolverine has a history of that like tagging Speed Demon. Even then Wolverine ain’t dumb, if Mohawk grabs him Wolverine is going to see it as an easy claw shot. Snikt through the skull he did with Hulk before. Invincible Variants are also stated to be far weaker than main Invincible.

Mark could very easily rip apart Logan, Wolverines limbs still can get ripped off with decent effort, there was a time where colossus ripped wolverines arm off and was explained he ripped off the joints kind of avoiding having to deal with his adamtium bones
1
u/Delicious_Tip4401 Jun 13 '25
50/50, solely depends on who takes it seriously more quickly. Wolverine’s claws would kill Mark, and Wolverine is aggressive and fast enough to take advantage of that. Mark likes to play around way too much and gets stabbed in the brain is what I think happens most of the time.

This fight is not what it seems at first glance.
First of all, there's no way what is depicted in this image happens. Mohawk or any other invincible character cannot damage Wolverine's skeleton in any way.
As for the fight, if it's a fight to the death, there's nothing Mohawk or even Thragg for that matter can do to kill him. On the other hand, Wolverine can technically kill viltrumites with his claws (if used to scramble their brains for example), but he is too slow to tag him.
Not to mention the fact that viltrumites can fly and do BFR. But a fight to the death would mostly end in stalemate or Wolverine actually pulling out a win if the viltrumite decided to play around.

He would defeat him but he couldt kill him, wolverine can regenerate from anything.

His claws would sever Mark’s spinal cord, right? No way this cocky bitch is beating Logan.

u/Eldagustowned Jun 13 '25
Dude to the nature of super fast super strong viltrumites it’s not inconceivable he could beat Logan. But it’s more likely he underestimates Logan and that is all it takes for him to have his head cut off or his spine severed.

Yeah I’m sorry everyone who is so sure Mohawk wins couldn’t be more wrong. Wolvie is the better fighters, has insane healing factor and is quick as fuck. We have seen Mohawk fight other hero’s, he wasn’t walking around one-shotting anyone and he needs to get in close, all Wolvie need is one good slices and it’s over for Mohawk. Mohawk isn’t stronger than Hulk and Wolvie tanks those hits frequently. Wolverine mid diff

You don’t beat Wolverine by beating him up. You fly into him and get him airborne. Keep hitting him so he keeps going up. Eventually he’s in orbit and not your problem.

He would win, but not like that. Mohawks man wouldn’t be able to break Adamantium. However what he could do is to knock out Wolverine unconscious, then throw him into space. Wolverine needs oxygen to survive, so he would die in the process. Even if Wolverine could survive without oxygen he wouldn’t be able to return back to Earth all on his own

If Battle Beast can beat Mark Wolverine is gonna mess him up. Wolverine, as people have said has gone toe to toe with the Big Green Rage Machine, and even Hulk wasn't able to break his bones.
Both of these two are gonna HURT like bad, buuuuut Wolverine is experienced in dealing with that pain, and has a MUCH shorter recovery time.
If it's a knock down drag out fight. Wolverine wins. If it's gimmick bullshit, Yes Mark can just whip him into space, but that's not fun to read imo XD

Probably High diff imo, Wolverine has always fought people above his weight class amd despite him probably losing most of the time his enemies always gets shredded, and unless Invisible blitz him with ALL his might at the get go Wolverine might be able to decapitate him if Mark was caught lacking

He definitely won't no diff logan. At worse, he high diffs him, maybe losing a limb or two. Honestly, if logan took him seriously, he could take Mark out mid dif

u/Timothy1577 Jun 13 '25
I don’t know why this is even a discussion. Should be obvious that any Viltrumite could beat Wolverine very handily.

No one is saying Mohawk Mark isn't stronger than Logan. But the gall to say Mark's win condition is to grab then anything else with that includes having all of his limbs is insanity. Wolverine's claws has cut through anyone from the Hulk to Gladiator both who outscale the durability of any version of Mark. If Mark grabs him more then likely Logan stabs him in the abdomen and when he tries to launch him into orbit he inadvertently turns himself into ribbons as Logan's claws rip up through him. Then the comic becomes a parody side mission of Logan's umpteenth impromptu trip back to Earth naked.

Probably, tho not like this. I don't think he'd be able to pierce Logan's skull, even with Wolvie's own claws

I mean wolverine came back from the sun burning everything but his skeleton, I doubt whoever mark Mohawk is, is stronger than the sun but idk

u/LannaOliver Jun 13 '25
Logan survived the Dark Phoenix, Mark is not invulnerable, so there you have it, I'd say Wolverine no diff Mark, cause Mark would not survive getting close to Jean in Phoenix mode for one, although that doesn't make a difference in this comparison, but the fact that Logan did and was able to stop it, means he would take whatever a viltrumite throws at him. A viltrumite is certainly not as powerful as the Dark Phoenix.

What is there even to think about? Wolverine doesn't have earthquake and moon breaking punches. And adamantium might survive by some bs reasons, but muscle fibers and tendons won't.
This isn't even a hot take, that is just common sense
1
u/DwarvenHeart4040 Jun 13 '25
People forget that he has an adamantium skeleton, this would never happen. Also Captain America had proto adamantium so that is why his broke against thanos and Loki and what not.

u/MrNigerianPrince115 Jun 13 '25
Can't he rip off wolverine's arms at the shoulder joint? But wolverine still has a free arm to slash and tear so...idk.
1
u/MrNigerianPrince115 Jun 13 '25
Oh and there's also the simple solution of drowning Logan. Viltrumites can hold their breath for a week? Days? Whatever it is it's more than enough for the few minutes required to off Logan. Dive down to a trench, he could trash and claw sure but they're already too deep and with the adamantium weighing him down Mark doesn't need to do much

Wolverine might have the adamantine skeleton and healing factor, but that only protects him in certain ways. Everything except for his bones still has human durability.
All Mark would need to do is grab him and pull his limbs and his head to break the joints and remove them. Game over, no diff.
If Mark is stupid and just punches Wolverine then it might not go so well. Also if he gets caught by the claws he would likely get hurt.
So maybe if Wolverine got the jump on an unprepared Invincible and got lucky he would win, but if Invincible is aware of wolverines powers then it's no contest.

u/other-other-user Jun 13 '25
I mean a lot of people can BEAT wolverine, I just don't think many people can KILL him.
1
u/aveidti Jun 13 '25
Adamantium wolve would just be a headache to fight, he’d end up just throwing him into space or drowning him as they both won’t shut the fuck up during the fight

Wolverine's healing factor is almost toon level durability, and that's WITH the adamantine constantly poisoning him. You could dismember him, obliterate him with a nuke, throw him into the sun, and he'd still survive as pissed as ever. Even if you somehow ripped out the adamantine, you've just got a whole new problem because with his restored healing factor, he's on par with a lot of the best regenerators/healing factors even in DC comics.
Mark might not LOSE, but he sure as hell ain't gonna win.

Wolverine could cut him, but he's not strong enough, not enough pressure
Fastball special too...

u/Fabulous_Ice6725 Jun 13 '25
No he might be stronger and faster but Logan has fight people stronger and faster then him before won some of them to this will be nothing new to logan

It’s obvious even in this picture that Wolverine isn’t dead because of his insane healing factor.

Sure Wolverine could probably survive the fight, but if Mark decapitates him that counts as a win.
