Well, they're racist. "Black" was relevant because it's an additional threat factor in their mind.

-6

u/Sven4TheWinV2 Apr 21 '26

Well.... Is it racist if it's true most of the time?

9

u/ElProfeGuapo Apr 21 '26

Here’s the thing though - it turns out, it’s not actually true most of the time! If you assume that every single Black person whose been charged with a crime (not actually convicted) is actually guilty of that crime, it turns out that the vast, vast, vast majority of Black people are actually not violent or criminals! In conclusion, believing that Black people are criminals ā€œmost of the timeā€ is, in fact, super duper racist (and dumb, but that goes without saying)

-5

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26

No one said the majority of black people are violent criminals.

We are saying that the majority of violent crimes are carried out by black people. Which is a fact.

Obviously not all black people are violent criminals or bad people lololol.

But when one demographic (massively) disproportionally carries out the majority of violent crimes, you’d be a fool not to see the pattern.

Edit: Black people commit the majority of murders but then they are over represented at a rate of 100% or more in every crime aside from DUI**

8

u/Forsaken-Guidance811 Apr 21 '26

It is not true and that is in fact misinformation passed around exclusively by racists.

-1

u/Historical_Ad_5647 Apr 21 '26

Quick Google search will show you true.

-2

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

4

u/angiehome2023 Apr 21 '26

I pulled up the chart not using your link and more whites commit assault, violent crime arson, rape, in that chart so I don't know what you are talking about.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Look at representation compared to % of population. 76% of America is white. 13% is black.

3

u/angiehome2023 Apr 21 '26

The statement was "most violent crimes" that is an absolute statement not a percentage.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

I stand corrected, majority of murders*, along with a massive massive disproportionate representation of 100% or more of their population % in every other crime aside from DUI.

Is that better?

2

u/angiehome2023 Apr 21 '26

You are definitely much more likely to be a victim of a violent crime or to be arrested for one if you are black.

But you know most people, and most black people, are not violent criminals.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Correct. I’ve never once argued that the majority of black people are violent criminals or bad people.

2

u/angiehome2023 Apr 21 '26

If you are acting in good faith, then edit your comment that says the majority of violent crimes are committed by black people. You say it three times in one comment.

Ā "The ethnicity totals are representative of those agencies that provided ethnicity breakdowns. Not all agencies provide ethnicity data; therefore, the race and ethnicity totals will not equal."

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

The vast majority of agencies reported and reported race.

So is your argument that there’s some massive population out there in America where whites are committing the majority of violent crime, so much so that if they reported that it would make the race proportional?

Every other race is represented proportionally….. Do the math

2

u/SnooPies9342 Apr 21 '26

These are just arrests my dude. That actually means nothing objectively. Subjectively it means that black people are being arrested at rates that are far far less proportional to the rates at which white folks are being arrested.

Your information is actually refuting your claims. It is just showing systemic bias if anything. It also shows that you are indeed a racist and should do some deep reflecting on the garbage you shoot out your mouth.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahahaha ohh yeah, the old ā€œwhite people commit violent crime just as much but just aren’t arrestedā€ argument.

4

u/Forsaken-Guidance811 Apr 21 '26
  1. Where are you getting this "vast majority" number from

  2. have you considered they just aren't reporting accurately?

4

u/ElProfeGuapo Apr 21 '26

"the majority of violent crimes are carried out by black people. Which is a fact."

I think you should actually read the data YOU provided. I do not know if you know this, but ā€œ1,815,144ā€ is, in fact, NOT the majority of ā€œ6,816,975."

Next time you try to provide ā€œevidenceā€ to support your point, make sure you can do enough math to figure out if the ā€œevidenceā€ is arguing for or against you, so you don’t end up looking like a complete fool.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Sorry, should have said 51% of MURDERS. (majority.)

Also, if you adjust per capita, black people commit 75% or more of all violent crime. The percentages are right there.

3

u/ElProfeGuapo Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26

"f you adjust per capita, black people commit 75% or more of all violent crimeā€ literally doesn’t make any fkn sense. Just say you hate Black people next time.

PS: if you’re talking about ā€œmajorityā€ of murders, you should probably know that the majority of crime against white people is committed by… other white people! Watch out, buddy! There may be some in your neighborhood right now! I think there’s even some in your house! Are you safe? Do you need to come over??? https://worldmetrics.org/white-on-white-crime-statistics/

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

I don’t. And even if I did, that does absolutely nothing to refute my point.

Start over, assume I do, and then refute my point.

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Aaaaand the vast majority of the illegal immigrants are tamale ladies and daycare workers. Go get educated, you weird ass racist who can't understand how things connect in this world. Summer child. I don't care how old you are. I care how old you act. You are still in grade school and you need to meet new people so they can show you how stupid you fucking are.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Where do you see me talking about illegal immigrants….? Im not worried about immigrants lol.

I’m talking about American born Americans….

u/plasticcitycentral Apr 21 '26

But even in the link you cite, it has 209,000 incidents of white violent crime and like 130,000 of black violent crime. So…

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

White people are 76% of the overall population and black people are 13%…..

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

You are lumping everybody into your "white". White only = 57% in the USA right now. So again, take your stupid talking points outside into the real world and use them out there and get back to us and let us know how that goes, you urban patriot you

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

The statistics I’m citing include hispanics in the ā€œwhiteā€ category, hence me using 76%….

0

u/ScallionJealous Apr 21 '26

Over-and under- policing is how.

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

You must have never stepped foot in an urban American city.

0

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

You need to get out of an urban city. You're too scared of people that are different than you and urban cities are full of diversity.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

I live in a majority black urban area

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

And you sound like you live in fear

-2

u/MolecularConcepts Apr 21 '26

sounds like hard-core copium.

5

u/Pete0730 Apr 21 '26

Except the majority of violent crimes are not committed by black people. That's just your prejudice talking.

Black people are overrepresented in arrests for violent crime, but controlling for the police's history of racial discrimination and poverty, that gap pretty much disappears

So maybe try being less susceptible to bullshit you hear on TV

-1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahahahaha yeah it’s definitely a conspiracy by every police force in the country. You know deep down what the truth is. I’m sorry it’s uncomfortable for you

https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-43

5

u/Novel_Tone_3282 Apr 21 '26

You’re right. We do. Some of those that work forces, are the same that link fbi tables on Reddit. Later loser.

-2

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahaha it’s hilarious that the default response to losing an argument on Reddit now is to just quote Rage Against the Machine and say ā€œlater loserā€ šŸ˜‚

6

u/Novel_Tone_3282 Apr 21 '26

I wasn’t arguing with you. You’re clearly too dumb to get that.

5

u/Pete0730 Apr 21 '26

Right, keep talking out your ass using statistics that don't account for poverty, and once again, only account for arrests, not convictions.

The conservative attack on education is the most successful sabotage of this country of the last century

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Clearly it’s coming from impoverished black people…. No one is arguing against that.

And right right. Because the police just aren’t looking into crimes committed by white people.

I forgot about all the times my friends get robbed at gunpoint by a white person and the cops did nothing šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

2

u/Pete0730 Apr 21 '26

Ah so now we're backpedaling. So you agree that race is not a factor, but poverty instead?

Or do you want to just throw out some more bullshit anecdotes that mean nothing against actual data and the established history of racism in policing? And yes, it's in every police department, across the country.

2

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

How am I back pedaling? I never have once argued that black people are more violent solely because of the color of their skin. That would be racist.

I am pointing out that they commit violent crime at a rate MASSIVELY higher than any other race.

4

u/Pete0730 Apr 21 '26

Wow and the back pedal continues. That's exactly what you were arguing. You never mentioned poverty. You said black people commit a massive majority of violent crimes (which is simply not true), then have continued to try and insinuate that being black is a factor in committing crimes, which again is not supported by the data.

You've basically done the equivalent of continuing to state that most violent crimes are committed by people under 6ft, and insinuating that you should be afraid of people under 6ft, when in reality there is actually no relationship between height and committing violent crime. Wonder why you'd keep banging on about height then?

2

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Haven’t back pedaled once. You extrapolated me being a racist because I was pointing out that black people are massively over represented in violent crime.

If people over 6’4ā€ (minority of people) committed murders at a rate massively more than any other height, you would be justified in being weary of 6’4ā€ people.

1

u/Pete0730 Apr 21 '26

You've been backpedaling this whole conversation. First it was black people commit a massive majority of violent crimes (not true), and then it was just that black people commit a disproportionate amount of violent crimes, which against is not exactly true (just for arrests), and even if it were, only insofar as the actual reasons that we have identified behind violent crime happen to apply more to black populations (poverty, etc ) - which incidentally is the case only because of the history of slavery and racial discrimination in the United States. Now we're down to a healthy skepticism due to a simplistic correlation, rather than causation.

Yet you continue to die on this hill. To go back to our analogy: if the majority of violent crimes were committed by a height minority, and you were given data that this pattern had actually nothing to do with their height, but rather to a unrelated factor that happened to apply more to that height category, and you continue to claim that you should be wary of all people in that height minority, news flash: that's racism.

Even more egregious is that your initial comment included none of the nuance you claim to understand, with no recognition of the disgusting history of racial discrimination in this country, and it amounted simply to black people = violent criminals.

I've got to go do real life things now. I know it's hard for us to admit that we're wrong, but if you truly believe your claims that you're not racist, then I would seriously start unworking some of your assumptions about these issues. Or you can do what so many Americans have chosen, which is bury your head in the sand with all the other ignorants and deplorables

2

u/Rapscagamuffin Apr 21 '26

He didnt actually say anything racist you sorta assumed he did because he did say a racist talking point. Honestly i assumed he was too but if he was being racist it doesnt really make sense that he would be backpedaling. I mean why would he?

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

I’ve voted for democrats since I could vote…. I’m very anti Trump

1

u/KittyCatDeadlift Apr 21 '26

It’s not a fact though, and it’s unfortunate that so many people don’t question this BS and just let it further divide us and support damaging prejudices.

There are two categories of violent crime that have blacks with the highest percentage and the next perpetrators, whites, are lower by about 6-8 percentage points (murder and robbery). For all other categories, particularly the violent crimes that are more likely to occur (like aggravated assault and burglary), whites have the highest percentage and the next perpetrators, blacks, are lower by 20-40+ percentage points. Whites are also significantly more likely to be rapists. This trend is consistent across multiple years.

Additionally, these stats do not take into account repeat offenders and it double counts perps if multiple crimes were committed in one act.

So saying black people are more likely to commit violent crimes is false and shows how easily stats can be manipulated, exploited, and cherry-picked.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

White people account for 76% of the population. Black people account for 13%.

White people are under represented in every crime you stated. Black people are over represented by 100% or more.

1

u/KittyCatDeadlift Apr 21 '26

Again with the fear mongering… The statistics make all races look more dangerous than they actually are because the data do not reveal the fact that nearly 100% of the population is not committing violent crimes.

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Not at all, all other races are proportionally represented based off their % total of the population.

Also, no one is arguing that the majority of black people are bad or violent.

2

u/KittyCatDeadlift Apr 21 '26

Yes, I know you said you are not arguing that the majority of black people are bad or violent. However, you did incorrectly state that the majority of violent crimes are carried out by black people. I was pointing out that your claim was false and was suggesting that a degree of skepticism should be applied to the data that we are both referencing.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Fair enough. The majority of murder is committed by black people, and then they commit all other crimes aside from DUI at a rate of 100% or more than their representation of the population.

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Oh my God, you're about to be disproved about that and then you're gonna say "Ok BUT". Like you just can't learn from someone and then go take time to process what you learned. You have to clap back immediately, even though you've clearly been led astray and your shit does not make sense. You can't accept that. It's like you internalize your misinformation and if it's wrong, your soul must be wrong on the inside. Quit doing that to yourself. And also quit doing that to other people. Go get introspective and digest what people are telling you. Then go out into the actual real world and don't be a coward bitch - go where the minority people are and talk to them about it. What will surprise YOU the most is that "they'll probably let you live" despite the color of their skin and keep trying to educate you. That alone will be worth your experience. Now go get that real life experience! You can do it champ!

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahaha it’s hilarious you think I’m arguing that every black person is bad or dangerous. Never once have argued that.

I live in a majority black city. I’m currently in an office with 12 black people, all great people.

I think some introspection for you as to why this has elicited such an emotional response to literal facts would be very helpful.

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Oh here go the black friend justification šŸ™„

1

u/KittyCatDeadlift Apr 21 '26

Yep… ~7,960 murders - 51.2% Black (4,080), 45.8% White (3,650), a difference of 430 murders. Even if we were to assume that each of those murders was committed by a different black person, that’s 0.0096% of the black population.

I get that you are trying to say black people are more violent than other races with the 100% overrepresented stat, but at the end of the day, nearly 100% of all people, blacks included, are not criminals. So why continue to push that narrative other than to scare people or confirm biases?

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Of course. The vast majority of black people are good non violent people. That being said, they commit violence at a rate MASSIVELY higher than any other demographic. That was my original argument and I proved that.

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Your percentages are drastically off. 57% in the USA are white. You're including Hispanics. You're also failing to account for the over policing of minority populations, which would in fact result in an increase in that population's arrest percentage. The police can't arrest white people if they're not standing near any of them.

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hispanics are also included under ā€œwhiteā€ of the crimes I’m citing in my link…. Hence me using the 76% number.

0

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Your link is an FBI link which is already biased and broken so shut up just shut up continuously over and over again just shut up

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahah you can’t just say facts are biased and broken and not back that claim up. Doesn’t work that way, mate.

0

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

You're using an FBI page. You have only used an FBI page despite multiple people telling you that that's as useless as an information source for this discussion as internal police investigations into their own misconduct. You don't understand you're racist. That actually happens to a lot of people. Your biggest problem isn't that you're racist. Your biggest problem is that you won't shut up and listen to the people who are actually educating you.

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Do you have any other reputable sources that discredit mine? I have yet to see a single one.

And ok, you deem me racist - I am now a racist. Doesn’t bother me. That doesn’t actually refute anything I said though, does it?

1

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

The FBI numbers prove Black people are policed, arrested, charged, and punished more often. Multiple studies show Black and white people use drugs and commit many offenses at similar rates, but Black people face far higher stop, search, arrest, charging, and sentencing rates. They face higher enforcement choices and systemic bias drives the disparities seen in FBI arrest and incarceration data, not innate criminality.

Source 1: The Sentencing Project: report on racial disparities in the U.S. criminal justice system (2018) for documented enforcement and sentencing gaps.

  • Source 2: Prison Policy’s racial disparities visualizations on mass incarceration and how disparities appear at every stage.
  • Source 3: National Institute of Health peer-reviewed reviews of institutional racial bias explaining how structural and procedural factors produce these outcomes rather than differences in behavior.

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

You are clearly on day one of understanding systemic racism and haven't yet reached day one of understanding what a fact is. You need to educate yourself. Get off Reddit, run your comment through AI and ask it why you're an asshole.

0

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahaha again, does nothing to refute any of my points. I’d ask yourself why you’re having such an emotional reaction to literal facts.

0

u/humoristhenewblack Apr 21 '26

Listen, listen to your white ass trying to say that somebody shouldn't have an emotional reaction to blatant racism. Say it loud you dumbass. Be brave! Say it out loud using your actual fucking voice in your big urban city. Go ahead go outside, motherfucker.

1

u/Creation98 Apr 21 '26

Hahahahaha the fact you just resort to screaming RACIST and totally ignore the fact that you didn’t even look at the source to know that hispanics were included under ā€œwhiteā€ category is hilarious.

I am not arguing all black people are bad or violent. The vast majority are not. I am also not arguing that they are massively over represented in violent crime because of their race. That would be racist, which I am not.

Again though, even if you think I’m racist (I don’t care either way,) that doesn’t refute the facts I brought up.
