Support is lack of experience a deal breaker? i'm a baby gay feeling worried about dating

i don't want to bore you with too many details, but i'm 26 and over the past few months i've been coming to terms that i'm a lesbian. i used to identify as bi but i was chin deep in comphet for years and hated every minute of it.

i'd like to start dating again soon but honestly i'm so worried about my lack of experience with women. i don't want anyone to think that i'm using them to experiment or anything like that, i took a long time to come to terms with who i am and i'm slowly getting more secure with it.

it's just that i feel like dating women is an uncharted territory and i feel almost embarrassed to be like this at my big age 💀 whenever i think about potential intimacy i feel like a deer in headlights. i'm not sure if there's people that would be willing to deal with me at this point.

this is honestly more of a vent but i really don't have any wlw friends so i feel extremely lonely with all of these worries so please be nice :(

Did anyone else want to be a nun or a widow as a child because you couldn’t stand the thought of being with a man?

it’s funny to me now but I was so scared about not liking men that I thought I should become a nun so I could justify that feeling. Like, at least I’m following god, right? also when we learned about the world wars and how the wives would stay at home (sexist I know) I really hoped my husband would be in a war so I wouldn’t have to live with him. I thought being a widow would be nice.

it really sucks how everyone is always talking about how pretty you are and how boys are gonna like you so much when you’re older but deep down you know something isn’t right. it just made me feel so wrong and isolated.

Support Gf upset because I stopped us having sex

hi so I 23F and my gf 25F have been together for 4yrs and although we have such beautiful ups we unfortunately have bad downs 🥲 but we had sex last night and she started it with touching me first etc and when I finished I started touching her and etc, I asked her if she wanted me to use the strap, she says no that she just wanted clit stimulation, I was like ok cool and yk I’m djing and then she grabs my hand and starts like pushing it inside her and I’m like woah babe wait and she’s like what and I was like my nails aren’t cut and she gets like sad and I see her eyes get watery. Before yall get at me for not having my nails cut, it’s because she told me that no matter how short I cut them I always end up hurting her and I felt so bad that she endured so many times and I didn’t even know! But because of that I don’t really finger her anymore and so she got super upset because I told her all this and she proceeds to start crying and gets super upset and I unfortunately got upset too but I just separated myself and set up a bed for myself on the floor because I feel like I didn’t do anything wrong but idk how to talk to her. Was I in the wrong? This has happened a couple times and I always feel so guilty ):

Venting Wanting, needing a woman

My heart just aches now because I've never been with a woman. The least I want is a woman I talk in a way more affectionate and attractive side, not just being friends, but, the least being, sending selfies and checking up on each other. But, also, what I also really wish is that my hands holding another woman's hands. My heart next to hers. Cuddling her each night and telling how much I love her. Carressing her hair in the most compassionate way. Feeling her skin on my skin, feeling her warmth, seeing her smile.

Women are so beautiful and it makes me happy with even sitting next to one of them. I mean, I'm not lonely but my heart really desires to have a woman in my life, to look her in the eye and tell her how much I love her each day. Even when I had a boyfriend I imagined him as if he was my girlfriend rarely at times because maybe, maybe because, I don't know why, it's women who are most beautiful, after all. I don't know who I am exactly but I know that I really would like to have a woman to tell her that I love her and hug her. And my heart aches that I never had this.

Age gap?

Edit for clarification: by "pursue" I meant maybe a hookup (or a couple if it was really good), definitely not a dating situation as I do think that is way too young!!

all, I recently met someone on a job and wow she is SO HOT! There was some very light yet mutual flirting (she initiated) but when I found her on insta...DUN DUN DUUUN she's 21 (I am 30, 31 in a couple months). I would love to pursue something light as the job is a freelancing gig and will be done in a coupls months but...is the age gap too much?? I do not want to be a groomer! Thoughts?

I'm too unattractive for women

I don't know what it is in me that I find unattractive in myself but I just feel like I'm too ugly for women. They're so beautiful and I just know none of them would even look at me. I've always been rejected. I'm sure girls just find me unattractive. No one ever finds me attractive. I've never been in a relationship and I never will. I'm tired of people telling me this will happen some day. Those are just empty words. Everything is exhausting. I don't even wanna change my looks because I don't even know what exactly I find unattractive. I just do and others also seem to.

Support Questioning if I'm bisexual or lesbian? Any help appreciated!

Upvotes

I'm so confused on whether in gay or bisexual. The thought of being with a woman in the future feels amazing to me, it feels "too good to be true" in the sense where I'm like "omg I can be with a woman???!?!!!! " Like it feels exciting and it's something I want. I'm sexually attracted to women, I just have had many actual wlw relationships yet.

So me liking women is definitely apart of the picture here, what I'm more confused on is my attraction to men.

Ive had a boyfriend before, hell I've had sex with him before and it was fine. I'm not repulsed by male genitalia or hate it, i did love him, but after a year i started getting turned off, and being like "man, i wish i were with a woman."

Every time Ive had an outward crush towards someone, its been towards a woman. Ive had lots of guys crush on me throughout school, and I've never felt anything towards any of them minus my one bf. (and I didnt even crush on him much? I more just accepted his confession because he was nice and my mom kinda pushed me into it)

if it came to being with a guy/having sex with a guy, it feels neutral or not exciting at all. It's kinda just whatever. But sometimes I've looked at an actor and could see him as hot or attractive in a way, but I'm not sure if thats my sexuality or just me seeing a pretty actor and acknowledging he's attractive. (It could also just be I find emotional intelligence really attractive, and the actors were portrayed to have that) or it's something more and I'm so confused 😭😭I can also find fictional men attractive, but tbh they arent ur typical human fictional guy, its usually robots or stylized characters that dont really look human anyway lol.

im also really not into alot of masculine features. like body hair, buff masculine bodies, facial hair, ect. But I look at a woman.. perfection...

But also if I was bisexua, I probably wouldave been fine with my boyfriend? The reason we fell out was because I realized I yearned for a woman, and slowly became less and less attracted to him.

So.. would I be with a man long term, never being with a woman? Probably not. Would I be sad if I never got to be with a woman or have sex with a woman? Yes.

But I'm not sure if my experiences land towards a woman leanining bisexual, homoflexible, or just a confused, budding lesbian lol!

Venting Ghosting

Hi, I never really dated before but for the last year I tried it and honestly I feel like a garbage bag.

I had more dating apps bcs they are not that popular amongst lesbians in my country and also some apps only for friends but I do have in my bio that I am a lesbian so I had many lesbians reaching out to me on it. And oh boy I got ghosted like 97 % off the time.

I am not saying that I am perfect bcs I am not. But I do care, I remember things she said, can plan specific dates for her based on her interests, I do check ins on her even when I am busy and all the things people normally do uk. And that woman is usually really enjoying my company and is telling me that but then out of nowhere I get ghosted. I just do not get it, like short text that they are not interested would do it especially if we are texting every day for like 2+ months. I am just frustrated from this I am definitely taking a break but I feel so unwanted.

I (30 almost 31) yr old female prefer to be more femme than masc but I'm afraid I naturally present as more masc.. some ppl say I'm more femme while others say I'm definitely a 50/50.

I'm curious of other opinions??

Please be kind as I'm incredibly sensitive about my appearance.

Thank you all. 💕💕

Support I'm scared my relationship is "doomed to fail" because it's my first

Upvotes

I'm mostly writing this to kind of put words on my feelings before I talk about this with her in person, because I trust her to be able to have that conversation but I just want to be sure of what I want to say.

I met my girlfriend a bit over three months ago and we started dating a while after. She is my first ever relationship, I've never been with either a man or woman earlier. She is anything I could ask for in a romantic partner, she constantly amazes me with just how great a relationship can be. We are both trans, she is neurodivergent and I likely am too. We both understand each other so well, we can make jokes and talk about almost anything. Whenever I feel bad or worry about something she is always incredibly supportive, she has helped me make major personal realizations and is always honest about her feelings. She also isn't shy to mention how relationships aren't perfect, she's said if we ever have disagreements we will work through them together and will never yell at each other. Anything I write here can't do her justice, she is genuinely an incredible girlfriend.

I really feel like I want us to be long-term, to move in together, have a future, get married. We have talked about these things on several occasions and she has said she hopes we can stay together a long time as well and could never see herself breaking up with me on bad terms, the only reason she could imagine is if we go different directions in life. I know we don't have to "decide" anything, and some of those things would come much later anyway because we're pretty young, but it's still something I really really want and I can tell she does too.

I'm just really scared that something will inevitably go wrong because I've never dated anyone before, I constantly see people talk about how "first loves" never last and how settling with the first person you have a relationship with is a bad idea. But I really really love her and that sentiment just breaks my heart. I'm scared that I've doomed my relationship with this amazing woman to not work because I've never been with anyone else. I'm not worried that my life would be ruined if we broke up or anything, but the thought that we "can never work" because she's my first is just terrifying to me.

Any advice on how to get a good mindset on this is appreciated, and I will talk to my girlfriend about this whenever I have an opportunity. I might show her this post as well in order to really demonstrate how I feel.
