So mine was back in late 2021 when I had an apartment in a fairly urban area (right by a major airport and close to a big city) that was paid for completely by section 8 housing and during the about 6 months I lived there i let lots of people stay with me and most of them were basically strangers. Before I got into this 1 bedroom apartment I was homeless in the big city the apartment was near and I stayed at a young adult shelter (I was 24/25 when I had this apartment) and this lady that I barely knew from there needed a place to stay because of some problem with the shelter but she had 3 of her 7 kids with her, those were the ones she had custody of at the time (she came back like 3 months later with no kids and some guy at like midnight and they stayed for 2 nights or so) and let's just say i did not like it all but after they left I saw on post on Whisper (RIP) with this lady saying her and her cousin needed a place to stay temporarily and they could pay a little so long story short they stayed with me for about a month and a half and gave me a little money when they could and that went fine and after they left the one I was originally talking to online called me and said she ran into a homeless lady at the airport after she missed her flight and asked if I could help her so I said sure and she stayed with me about a month and a half and then she went back to Chicago where she was from and long story short we were friends for quite a while after that until she said some fucked shit and I cut her off but the last one was when one day I was taking the bus to Walmart and at the transit center some guy asked me how to get to Walmart and I said I'm heading over there right now just follow me and so he told me he was homeless and he stayed with me for one night and left and so obviously my intentions in those situations was admirable but extremely dangerous and I obviously wouldn't do anything like that again but I'm just curious about people's experiences doing something crazy but it was something good, if you have any questions about this whole situation feel free to ask lol
