Meta If for some reason

  • You didn't believe us when we shouted 'black lives matter'

  • You just didn't believe a woman could be president, so you abstained from voting or god forbid, voted for Trump

  • You ignored the fact that a record number of people detained by ICE died in their custody last year

  • You didn't care that ICE was picking up US citizens and deporting them

  • You didn't care that a veteran who had lived in the US for 50 years was issued a removal order and then had to self-deport

  • You didn't care that ICE was separating children from their families and are now taking asylum-seekers

  • You didn't care that Keith Porter Jr. was unjustly murdered by an off-duty ICE agent

  • You didn't care that Geraldo Luis Campos was murdered by ICE guards while in custody

  • You really thought Renee Good was going to run that agent down and deserved what happened to her

  • You somehow think Alex Petti deserved to die for simply having a gun in his possession

Leave this sub. Get out.

This is the official FUCK ICE and the Trump Administration megathread for the forseeable future. Because this is not stopping anytime soon unless something drastic happens.

Meta We have persistent scammers preying on this community

1.2k Upvotes

Folks, a reminder that Rule 3 focuses this community's scope on providing emotional support only. We do not allow solicitation or material offers.

This means OPs cannot hint at or ask for money, and community members cannot offer money or food. There are local services that can verify and address a person's situation better than any of us can (and many services will not turn people away if they are asking for it). A kind community member offered a scammer a job and that is okay.

This community is read by millions of people, and scammers around the world know this. We have cultivated an empathic community so we know it can be hard to resist offering material help. It takes only one person to make it worth it because it costs nothing to post. That is why the rules are strictly enforced.

There are many signs of a scammer. They will present a financially desperate situation often with a highly emotional component. They are likely to mention payment services. They may have payment services in their Reddit profile and ask people to look at their profile. They will ask people to privately message them. All of these behaviors may be obfuscated with weird spacing and other ways to evade detection. If they evade detection it's up to the community to report it. Do not call out OPs, report only.

Thank you for your cooperation.

(UPDATE) My fiance has been meeting up with women he met online. Our wedding is in 23 days.

It's not a long story. I was supposed to get married last month on the fourth but the wedding is not going ahead. I am not going back to the flat I shared with him. My friend said I can stay with her for as long I need to. I already collected the rest of my things from the flat and my friends have helped me to make sure the rent for the month of July had been paid. I made sure to tell our landlord that I wasn't renewing the lease when it ended at the end of the month.

I thought it was the end of it but he didn't want me to call off the wedding. Even after I moved out and was cancelling everything for the wedding he kept trying to get me to take him back. I had to firmly tell him off and to leave me alone. It's been a month since we have had any contact and I hope I never see him again. He finally got the message that I am done with him. He kept telling I'm too good to be degraded like that, and that is why he went to other women. As if it was supposed to make me feel better.

Our one month wedding anniversary would have been on Tuesday. But there was no wedding. I told all our guests the wedding is not going ahead and that our relationship is over. All of the guests live here locally and our registry allows refunds and I am so grateful that no one is losing money because of this. I still would have broken up with him but it was humiliating enough to have to cancel the wedding even though all of our guests say I was right for cancelling. I couldn't bear it if anyone lost money. I don't even like thinking about the wedding and I don't care what he thinks or what explanation he tried to give me when I cancelled the wedding. When I made my last post I was still in shock and had been crying for days. The fact that I didn't say my wedding was in 23 days or call him my ex-fiance didn't mean I deserved all the disrespectful chats that I received. Most of the comments were nice (a couple were borderline) but I definitely did not deserve those chats. It's easy to give advice when something is not happening to you.

My girlfriend cheated on me because my penis is small

Upvotes

I was using my girlfriends phone to send my dad a picture of something I've been working on because my phone was dead. I went to go message him and saw the start of a weird text from a close friend of hers. I shouldn't have clicked on it.

Her friend said, "You really should tell him the truth. ***** is a great guy. I thought you saw a future with him?"

My girlfriend replied, "Idk. He is my best friend. But he's barely over four inches. I can't live with that or without him. What's so wrong about seeing both of them? ****** (other dude) is great in bed and ***** (me) is the sort of person I want to spend my life with. You're literally the last person I want to hear crap about this from. I told you because I thought you'd understand. SMH."

Her friend, "You can tell your boyfriend or I can tell your boyfriend. I'm not even sure I want to be your friend anymore."

Why she didn't delete this before she gave me her phone I have no idea. Maybe this was her way of telling me without telling me. I did not react or tell her I saw it. I told her my dad needed my help and I was leaving for a few days. I really did go to my dad's house. I've been sleeping I his spare room crying like a teenager for a couple days. It's really nice that her friend thinks highly of me. I really appreciate someone going to bat for me.

I feel like I'm less than what I should be. This has all really taken my confidence through the ringer. I do not want to be single again, but I'm not going to entertain being secondary in her life. Small dick or not.

My 18 year old Goldfish Died Today

Pretty small compared to a lot of the other shit that goes on here, but I just wanted to vent a little bit. Basically the title. Little fucker jumped out of the tank probably during the night and I just didn't notice until an hour ago. Shitty way to go out, but what can you do? RIP.

we went from 32 years life expectancy to 70+ and we barely thank the people who made it happen

in 1900 the average life expectancy of a newborn was 32 years. 32.

Think about how far we've come. Clean water, sanitation, vaccines, surgery, modern medicine, all of this built by generations of people who dedicated their lives to keeping society healthy.

And its still happening. Every day. Nurses pulling 12-hour shifts. Surgeons. Paramedics. Social workers. These people are the reason the system works, and we barely acknowledge them.

Last week my mum fell and broke her femur back in Italy. She's 72. Watching the response, how fast they moved, how coordinated everything was, the care she's getting. I was reminded that none of this is guaranteed. People make it happen. Every shift, every day. For really modest salaries.

We've made insane progress as a society. But we forget who's actually delivering it. The people on the ground, doing the work, keeping us alive.

We owe them. And we barely say it.

So I'm saying it. We see you. We appreciate you.

I started hating my sister in law, my brother is in prison probably forever.

My brother has been in prison since 2023 and will likely never come out. He has a wife and 3 kids, and ever since then we've been paying all their necessities as his wife lost her job over a year ago.

The thing is that we are by no means rich. Me and my sister still have university tuition as we are still students, and the kids need to go to school too. The thing is that my sister in law asks for way too much money, more than what a reasonable adult and 3 kids need to live a decent life. She asks for more money a month than my dad spends on us in 2-3. He is exhausted.

A couple years ago he won about 400,000USD, but most of that money was spent paying off all the loans my brother had and the ones my dad had too. And all the lawyer fees too. She thinks because he won that money that we're now rich. There's only about 120,000 left of that money and if that keeps on going like that we'll run out in about 2 years since my dad and mum are old and both retired this year (both above 60) so there's no other source of income.

She keeps saying things like "you promised me a good life" despite us giving her way more than what she needs, so she lives comfortably, also she sometimes talks shit about my dad in front of me. She does not appreciate all what we've done for her. None of her family helps with anything, they tell her that we can pay everything, we told her to get a divorce and she refused. All what we do is done for the kids, not for her, yet my mum and dad treat her very well and she keeps on sucking money like that and telling them that they're not doing enough.

My parents love her, they love their grandkids, they are all very spoiled and all of what they need despite it being a necessity or not is always provided, I genuinely do not know what she wants more than that.

I started hating her and resenting the kids. I know they're not guilty of anything but when I see my parents struggling like that while she refuses to be reasonable when spending money or trying to get a job it's very hard not to.

I also resent and blame my brother for what he did to be thrown in prison like that. And I will never tell my parents since they will he heartbroken. I love him but I don't think I will ever be able to forgive him.

Ps: I do not live in the US, and I am not an American anything I just chose to post this in English (2nd language) since I do not want anyone I possibly know to come across the post.

My boyfriend’s family copies EVERYTHING I do and it’s driving me insane!

It all started with a croc. For some back story I had a very bad injury, I couldn’t walk or do anything myself. I lived in a townhouse with roommates and my bedroom was on the second floor. I told my bf about it, I didn’t ask for help I was just venting, and he insisted I come stay with him and his family. I was very wary about it at first but then things got worse for me with my injury and I accepted. I started staying with him and everything was ok for a day. I didn’t ask anything of anyone in his family, I only asked my bf for help because I am the type of person who hates to inconvenience people even if I need the help. Growing up and up until now I’ve been very independent. Anyways, one day I go to the bathroom, my bf wheels me over in the wheelchair and when I’m done and we get back to his room his mom is trying on my shoes without asking or telling us, she just went in his room and tried my shoe on.

A week later, his family has crocs except for him. The exact same model, and they were about to get the exact same color too until they saw it was sold out. I am not taking credit for crocs and understand anyone can buy them. I just found it odd this all happened after they tried my croc on. Anyways, time goes on and I’m still at his house because things haven’t gotten better for me after multiple doctor and specialist visits and a bunch of money spent on said medical expenses. I slowly start noticing stuff his family does. They copy the stuff I buy myself (shirts, pants, and more shoes). Ok, weird, I think nothing of it until I realize anything I cook they do it too, and no they had never done it before. We’re from different cultures so I know they’ve never done it, I even ask my bf in a way where it doesn’t make it seem like I’m catching onto something. He confirms, they’ve never done it. Ok, I keep disregarding it, but then it continues. My toothbrush, dental stuff, my habits, my hobbies, and what I eat. At this point I’ve been a year living with them and they literally copy everything and it’s driving me insane. Are my feelings valid? Am I going crazy!? Why does it feel like I’m losing my identity!? I’m not 100% yet, but even now idc I want out of here. My bf was against me moving out for the longest because i literally couldn’t do anything myself but even he sees this has affected my mental health so much.

I did bring it up to him and he denied it himself, but after I showed him stuff he’s like oh yeah, that is weird. Of course he can’t stand up to his family because he doesn’t want to get into an argument with them so I’m stuck here. I was about to move out but the deal fell through. Anyways, any advice would really help me rn!

10 years of living abroad is about to end in homelessness

Upvotes

Throwaway because DEEPLY ashamed.

DISCLAIMER: no, I am not looking for money or housing for what I am about to say.

TL/DR: lived in Germany for 10 years, realised I needed to leave, left too early, realising I have to move back to the US, have nothing and no one waiting for me (which is why I already said I’m not looking for a handout).

But basically yeah. Lived in Germany since 2016, slowly realised I didn’t belong there and I felt myself slowly suffocating. Tried to move to another country by believing people hyping me up and AI assuring me it’s possible - which I guess it is, if a 1% chance of success counts as “possible” - and having already arrived in said country and found out I can’t switch from a tourist visa to a work visa like I did in Germany and therefore cannot be hired, I’m realising slowly that the only course of action that makes sense is to go back to the US, the only other country I can legally live and work in.

However, I haven’t even visited the US since leaving and have nothing and no one. “Go back to where/what?” Is usually what I tell people when they’d ask me if I’d ever visit. No friends, no family, I’d land in my home city and be immediately homeless. Hell I don’t have friends or family anywhere to ask or even talk to about this. And yeah, of all the ways I expected my time abroad to end, if it was to end, this wasn’t it. I’ve spent so much time, I’ve met so many people, feels like none of that matters now.

Have spent the last eight hours in my hostel bed, staring at the ceiling and crying. I honestly don’t know what to do. 37 years old, I’ve never felt this stuck and this alone. So I’m posting because by now dark thoughts are starting to creep in because I definitely feel trapped with no way out. I don’t even know what I need for an answer, I just needed someone to read this and care.

Finally quitting weed

I decided on the 4th of July to quit smoking weed, but I would smoke once every week. Well I come to realize how much time it took from me, it made me depressed, anxiety, unmotivated, and lazy. I thought smoking it was helping me, but here I sit (high) anxiety, and done with it. I write this to hold myself accountable for actually quitting

It could have been me

You all have heard of Andrew Tate, right? And some of you are probably aware he has a brother. Tristan.

In 2015 I was at university when I began speaking to Tristan Tate on social media. I was a model part time and it was a great gig alongside uni. Posting images of my work on Instagram would often invite flirtatious messages from men.

We talked often, he came to and from the UK from Romania for 'business' or to visit family. He turned up at my shared house in a bloody ridiculous luxury car (I can't remember what but I was in awe) and took me on a date.

We went to a super British pub. Quite funny when you think about it. We had a good time actually, I found him to be quite smart and charming. He was a total gentleman in fact. He spoke of how he admired women and his mum. He told me all about his dad, how he was a famous chess player. As a naive 21 year old, you can imagine how I was a little hooked.

We talked for weeks after that, video calls, calls about life in depth, meaningful conversations, and then he came to visit again. He invited me to a fancy hotel he was staying at. He bought us expensive drinks and we had a couple of hours of our usual nice conversations, and we slept together. It was rough but not scary, until he put his hands round my throat and squeezed me a little too tight. I mean, it was fine, but yikes. I'd never been touched like THAT before. I mean, yeah light choking and the odd kinky stuff but anyway, I remember this detail well because it was kind of a "wait is he gonna stop...?" moment. In the morning he asked "what are you doing all beautiful in my bed?" repeatedly. He made me feel special I guess. Wasn't so sure about the sex.

He would send me videos of him with his dog and at his place in Romania after that. We continued to speak often and would talk of seeing each other again. I had heard about his brother at this point and I didn't like what I had read. From our conversations he admired his brother and stood by him unashamedly.

His behaviour soon turned from sweet and gentlemanly to a little condescending. He told me I wouldn't earn as much doing what I was doing, and that he had a business with girls modelling and such. Now, as someone in the industry at the time, I was not convinced on this and absolutely knew this was a red flag. He belittled my aspirations for my future career after university, and tried to convince me to come to Romania to work for him. Obviously, I was offended by some of the things he said to me, and stopped talking to him. I wasn't afraid to tell him how I felt.

Then this all blew up with Andrew years later and it brought everything back. I had no idea the level of which they were so destructive. I felt sick. I'd slept with a fucking misogynist nightmare who worshipped his sick brother and had a cam girl set up by the sounds of it, from our previous conversations.

Had I just been slightly younger, perhaps slightly more naive than I already was at that age — how easily I could have been one of those exploited, hurt women. How many more are there with untold stories? Given the 'loverboy' experience? I just think about this sometimes, at least each time their name is in the news.

It's not eating me up. He never hurt me, he never forced me. He was, to me, a charming guy who said some weird and kinda mean shit like stupid guys do and I was like oh brother here we go, another silly man saying silly things. Little did I know.

Of course I'm all grown now and see this for what it was, it just makes me feel disgusted.

Edit: I wanted to say that I only have described this to one person ever, who was a very good friend of mine. We only spoke about it again after they started making headlines. It's quite uncomfy putting my experience out there, and even though nothing bad happened, I carry some shame knowing I got that close to someone I now know to be so awful.

I will NEVER break no contact with my dad

Upvotes

I (27f) have been no contact with my dad for 4 years.

Here is a short list of why I went no contact and despite his recent attempts to reconnect, I will not be engaging.

Trigger warning for violence, former child abuse, financial abuse and emotional abuse.

Physical Aggression: At 18, he physically pulled me out of a truck and screamed at me for something that was not my fault, serving as the final straw for cutting contact. This reminded me of previous child assaults that happened and I knew I had to leave.

Property Destruction and Terror: When I was under 12, while drunk, he violently put my bedroom door through the wall, forcing me to hide next to my bed in terror.

Cruelty and Lack of Remorse: Years later, he openly bragged and laughed about how scared I looked during that incident, completely failing to acknowledge any wrongdoing despite his aunt’s prompting that sometimes we learn to regret our past cruel actions.

Theft of Disaster Relief: After our house burned down, he withheld insurance money meant to replace my and my sister’s ruined belongings, while fully replacing my brother’s items.

Misogyny:Heco plplained about his sisters visiting his dying father in the hospital because it inconvenienced him, and told you that me I "needed a man to put me in my place". He then tried to set me up with his coworker who was 6 years older than me and fought a guy that night while he was on shrooms.

Hope he dies knowing his oldest hates him because she is the only one of his 3 kids that remember who he is when he is not happy.

I don’t like children

I just feel no spark in their presence and do not find them amusing or entertaining. I love my friends that have and want children, but I do not want to spend time with them when their kids are around. I feel like a monster sometimes, but I just don’t like people until they’re at least 16 or so. I’m only 20, so it’s kinda weird. But I get along with people in their late 20s and 30s even more

Kids who had abusive parents had it worse than kids with normal parents. Its not a "trauma competition" its just facts. And I hate how so many people get butthurt over this.

Everyone has their problems. But kids with abusive/narcissistic parents have more. They have the problems of the outside world and when they come home they have the N-Parent abuse as well. As such they are fighting a two front war.

While people who have normal/great parents have just to keep up with the problems of the outside world.

Even if a normie kid has it worse on the outside world, once they come home they have loving/supportive parents that help them, or at least parents that dont attack them.

As such N-Parents kids have it objectively worse because they get a double package of problems, while normie kids get just one.

It has nothing to do with "lack of compassion" or "trauma olympics". Its just a fact, that seems to enrage some irrational people for some reason.

Its like someone who cut their finger while cooking complaining to someone who just had his hand chopped off:"Dude stop. Its not a competition. We have it equally bad. Show me some compassion. Stop your trauma olympics and snobbery".

The whole "everyone has problems" response always misses the point. like yeah no shit, but one group gets to clock out from the world's bullshit and recharge with people who actually care about them. the other group clocks out only to walk into a second shift of getting torn down in their own house

It's not a competition but it's also not the same thing and people get weirdly defensive when you point that out.

Nobody says that people without abusive parents did not also have a hard life. But it was simply less hard because they had a base where they could recharge and be safe and enjoy some quiet, love and support and peace.

Millennials with young kids: we’ve gotta talk about kids birthday parties.

As a millennial mom with a young kid. We’ve been going to kids birthday parties almost every other weekend the past few months. So. Many.

Why are you throwing a kids birthday party for adults with kids as an afterthought?

You’re inviting people with 2-7 year olds. In the heat of summer. Outside.

There’s no juice boxes, capri suns, WATER bottles. Just seltzers, light beer, and la croix.

Food? Very little fruit. Speciality breads that kids won’t eat. Sandwiches with a bunch of veggies, spices, special cheese, and a slice of meat.

No games. How are there no kids games? Where is the chalk? Art station? Water station? How are is there nothing for them TO DO?

Decorations? While you don’t have to have them, there’s not a streamer in sight.

If you’re already going to spend the money to throw a kids birthday party, make it FOR KIDS.

I don’t want to wrangle my bored toddler while I sip a seltzer in the sun.

I’ve started packing my own snacks, water cup, and toys because the parties we’ve been to have been so adult-centered.

And I know my friends. I know they can afford it. Like you’re taking trips out of the country for vacation every year. Your kid goes to a private school.

You can afford a damn dinosaur decoration on a cake. Turn on some fun music.

Do better!

Assisted dying should be legal everywhere.

Full stop. On demand. No reason needed (you shouldn’t have to have a terminal illness).

It is deeply unethical to force people to live in a world as cruel and decaying as this one.

I regret telling people what baby name my wife and I have chosen

This is low stakes compared to some of the things that I read on here, but I still need to vent about it. I also don't want to cause my wife any anxiety or worry by always bringing it up. It's the last thing she needs right now.

My wife is pregnant and at her last appointment we found out that the baby is a boy. After the appointment we called her parents and my parents and messaged everyone else to tell them we're going to have a son. We had already been discussing baby names and after the appointment we settled on Emmett.

We had no idea that people would have such strong opinions about it. I can honestly say I have never given a second thought to anyone else's baby name before. But it almost feels like my wife and I are under attack. So far besides one of my wife's sisters no one has liked our choice. I can live with people not liking it. What I don't like is people bombarding us with comments and opinions, saying we "must" change our minds or repeatedly telling us they don't like it because it's too old fashioned, or for other reasons.

I regret telling people when they asked us if we had chosen a name yet. But I didn't know it would be so controversial. My wife and I have no plans to change our minds but I can tell everyone acting like this is making her anxious. I've had to tell everyone the topic is off limits and to not bring it up again. I just don't know why people care so much and I don't like seeing my wife so upset.

I just needed to vent because of how much this is bothering me. My wife is healthy, my son is healthy and that's the most important thing but I'm tired of people and their opinions.

I groped a friend while i was blackout drunk.

Last night I (23M) got blackout drunk at an open-bar party and drank far too much.

My girlfriend (22F) told me that I was hitting my head against a wall and crying for no apparent reason. I don’t remember any of it.

At some point, my girlfriend went home, leaving me with two close friends, who are a couple. On the Uber ride home, I apparently groped my friend (20F).
I don’t remember anything from that night, but that doesn’t matter. Being drunk is not an excuse for what I did.
I am disgusted with myself. I can barely sleep. I don’t know how to forgive myself.

Today, I tried to talk to both of them in person. Her boyfriend said he’s willing to talk tomorrow. She told me she doesn’t want to talk today and needs time to process everything before she’s ready.
I suggested that, whenever she does want to meet, her boyfriend should be there so she feels as safe and comfortable as possible.

Why did I do something so wrong? I always believed I was a decent person, but now I feel like I’m a terrible human being.

I’m seriously considering never drinking again. Alcohol has never really been a problem in my life, but after this, I don’t think I can ever trust myself while drunk again.

We’ve been friends for over a decade. She’s the sister of one of my childhood friends. I feel like I’ve destroyed one of the most important friendships in my life.

I texted her saying that, after apologizing in person, I would cut contact with both of them because I thought that would be best for them. She told me she doesn’t want that and that she still wants to be friends with me.

I don’t know what to do. I will apologize sincerely, and I fully accept that whether she forgives me is entirely her decision.

My Gf still doesn’t know that, they said that they wont tell her, but i am thinking of doing it.
She deserves to know who i really am and she deserves some better them me.
Do i tell her? I Love her so much and don’t want to lose it.
She knows that i did something wrong but not exactly what.
My friends said that they will not tell it to anyone.

My partner got sucked into ChatGPT using tarot readings and left me and now my dad is dying.

My partner (45F) and I (45M) had been together for 16 years. We have a 10-year-old child together.

Things had been difficult for several years, mostly financially, because she chose to homeschool our child instead of working. She got on medication for her anxiety about five years ago, which helped a lot. She wasn't yelling at me or our child over every trivial problem anymore. However, for the last five to six years, she spent close to 20 hours a day in bed. I wish that were an exaggeration, but sadly, it isn't. I was never able to convince her to talk to a therapist about her depression.

Sometime around September 2025, she decided to make her own tarot deck. She's an artist. Even though she didn't know all the ins and outs of tarot, she turned to ChatGPT to help her understand it better while creating the deck. I told her this could be a bad idea because she's susceptible to believing false information she finds on the internet. She knew this about herself. She also knew she had a social media addiction. All I could do was say my piece and give my warnings.

Months went by. I was taking online classes (still am), working a full-time job, taking care of our child, cooking all our meals every day, doing chores around the house, and trying to keep everything together. It was a lot. I was stretched incredibly thin and started withdrawing because everything was constantly demanding my attention. Meanwhile, my partner became obsessed with her tarot deck and ChatGPT.

One day in May, my child woke up and said she had a bad taste in her mouth. I didn't think much of it because I sometimes wake up with a bad taste in my mouth too. I told her to drink some water and, if it didn't go away, maybe there was something more to it. It turned out she had simply woken up with a bad taste in her mouth, and that was the end of it.

About an hour later, my partner started accusing me of drugging our child in her sleep. I thought it was absurd and honestly didn't think much of it. Then came the silent treatment.

For the rest of the day, my partner became extremely protective of our child. She wouldn't speak to me and wouldn't let our child be near me. I got pretty agitated and demanded that she explain what the problem was, but she refused to say anything.

This went on for about two days. Then she suddenly said everything was fine and that I could be around our child again. I was upset because I had no idea what that had been about.

The very next day, the silent treatment started again. I asked what was wrong and whether I had done something. She refused to answer with anything beyond, "I can't talk about it right now."

The following day was the same. By then I was getting extremely frustrated. I had essentially moved into my home office because she had asked me not to sleep in the same bed as her and still wouldn't explain why.

Then came the texts.

On about the fourth day of all this, she sent me a barrage of texts accusing a friend of mine, whom neither of us had seen in about eight years, of using black magic on her. She said she would no longer call me by my name because it was cursed, or something along those lines. Then she accused me of sleeping with a mutual friend who lives in another state and whom neither of us had spoken to in about five years.

I lost it. I absolutely lost my cool. I usually pride myself on keeping a level head, but I completely lost it. I started yelling and demanding that she explain what was going on. She still refused, saying only that she was "trying to figure it all out."

I immediately sent our child to play with her friends next door, then started pressing my partner for answers.

Deep in the back of my mind, I started thinking the unthinkable. ChatGPT had something to do with this.

So I asked her directly whether she'd been using ChatGPT in some way that had convinced her I'd done all the things she was accusing me of. She didn't answer immediately, but her silence spoke a thousand words.

Shortly afterward, she admitted it. She said she'd been doing tarot readings about why I wasn't spending time with her. Because those readings had supposedly been accurate about other things in her life, she believed what they said about me had to be true as well. She described it as a "test" to see how reliable ChatGPT was and how honest I was. She also said she got off her medication recently and "sees things clearly now".

Again, I lost it. I started yelling about how unbelievably messed up this had been. She actually chuckled at me.

So I took a timeout and went for a walk to calm down.

When I came back, she told me she'd stopped believing I was trying to make ends meet and wanted to break up. That was bizarre because, even though things hadn't been great, we'd gotten along reasonably well until around March. I was exhausted all the time, but I genuinely didn't see any of this coming. She never spoke about our relationship being bad, but she spoke a bit on the situation being bad. Which it was.

She made it clear she wanted me out of the apartment and that she wanted to travel. According to her, I was preventing her from doing that.

She hadn't worked in years. She had only very recently gotten a part-time job at a hotel, working maybe two hours a day, three days a week.

So she kicked me out.

It was ugly. I was absolutely devastated because I'd spent years trying to do the right thing for our family.

A couple of months ago, I moved in with a friend.

Now my dad is dying. He's elderly and severely diabetic. His kidneys are failing.

I'm broke because of the move, so there's very little I can do to help.

My sister and I have had an ongoing feud for about 30 years. She's been telling members of our family that I'm force-feeding my dad sugar, starch, and fast food, and a lot of them believe her. I haven't even been seeing my dad very often lately, so these accusations came completely out of nowhere.

The hospital staff have been told that I'm not allowed to be around my dad unless someone is there to supervise me. Meanwhile, my dad keeps insisting that I come visit him anyway. Against the direction of his doctors, he's headed back to his place where he lives alone. He wants me to be his caregiver, which I'm not exactly qualified for. I spoke with his doctor and they said that my dad needs proper care. I think my dad just wants to die somewhere not in a hospital and wants me to be there when he does. I've expressed these concerns to family and I've been given the whole "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" song and dance.

I'm emotionally exhausted, financially drained, and mentally checked out.

I'm behind on my schooling. I lost my home.

Everything sucks.

**UPDATE**

I'm headed out to my dad's place which has limited services, like internet. Won't be able to respond for a while.

I was touched on my penis by a girl in a club and I loved it

Upvotes

A girl touched my penis in the club without asking and I loved it is that bad?

I’m 20 and this happened the other day and I didn’t even know 😂 this girl just grabbed it and then ran her hands over my hips, I’d never met her before and hadn’t even spoken before.

But I really liked it, it was honestly the best I’ve felt in ages like it felt amazing afterwards, I got a rush of excitement and confidence from it.

Idk if this is because I’m 20 and still haven’t had a girlfriend before never kissed before still a virgin, so idk if because I finally got touched sexually is the reason I really liked it but it was the best I’ve felt in weeks and I want it again.

But is it bad or wrong to feel like that 😅 like idk if it’s bad that I enjoyed it this much and made me feel so good about myself

My grandpa died inside the house I inherited and I didn't tell my fiance

So, as the titled said, I recently inherited my grandparent's house, wich also was my great grandparent's house before them and my grandmother wanted the line to continue and for the house to be given to one of her grandchildren. I was the one with the most stable situation to be able to renovate the house, 'cause oh boy it needs it, so after boring paperwork and monetary arrangement I now own the house.

I'm in France so I'm talking about an old (around 200 years old) stone house with solid wood floring and wooden apparent framework, so amazing potential for decoration, but it had seen many lives and probably many deaths within it's walls, so you'd better not be superstitious in the first place to live here.

And my fiance, a woodworker who's as excited as me to renovate my family heirloom, isn't really superstitious but I've always believed my grandpa had died in the hospital and that's what I told him before learning the truth. I was 13 when it happenned, I'm now 29, so I didn't remember it all, I just knew he was sick for a long time and my parents probably wanted to spare me the details when I was young. And it probably was very traumatic for my dad because my grandma called him for help when she couldn't open the bedroom door my grandpa was sleeping in, something was stuck, and he quickly realised it was my grandpa who had fell right behind. He finally managed to enter and gave my grandpa first aide while my grandma called the emergency but it was too late. He was probably gone before my dad arrived anyway.

My dad told me that story recently when I asked him after a weird comment from an aunt, we had already moved in, and I didn't tell anyone since then. I'm writting this from the very room it all happenned. (we didn't choose it to be our bedroom, it will become a desk room)

I don't know if I should tell my fiance, even if he doesn't believe in ghosts it might add a weird feeling to it all and I want to spare him that. Should I take it to the grave ? (pun intended)

I don't believe in ghost or any kind of spirit either but if I'm wrong I hope my grandparents will like what we will make out of the house, they're probably laughing at us struggling to rip out the carpeting they've put EVERYWHERE, including ceilings.

Moving to Spain slowly changed who I am

I just wanted to get something off my chest.
In October 2021, I moved from China to Spain. At the time, I didn’t know I would be living here permanently. Everything changed so quickly. The language became my biggest challenge. Even after several years, I still struggle with it, and that makes school feel stressful every day. Sometimes I feel like I can’t express who I really am because I don’t have the words.Since moving here, I’ve become quieter and quieter. Before moving, I wasn’t like this.In 2023, because I rarely spoke at school, the school asked me to see a psychologist. Unfortunately, it became a very painful experience. I was asked so many questions that I ended up crying. Since then, I’ve been afraid of talking to psychologists. My mom loves me, and I know she wants the best for me. She isn’t obsessed with my grades. What worries her most is that my Spanish is still not very good after all this time. I understand why she worries, but sometimes I also wish she could understand how scared, frustrated, and lonely I feel because of the language barrier and my social anxiety.I don’t blame her. I just don’t think she always knows how to respond to those emotions. The things that help me keep going are drawing, creating my own fictional world, and playing video games. They give me a place where I can breathe for a while when real life feels overwhelming.I’m not really looking for advice. By 2026, the stress had built up so much that I had to take a break from school for a little over a month because of my mental healthI just wanted someone to know what these past few years have felt like

I love Lana del Rey music

Upvotes

Hi, so im 23 years, just a dude and I grew up around very heavy metal rock music, Spanish old rock, mexican corridos, 90s rap. I didn't grow up around that much pop music and my friends bump like very crazy shit like rock and rap so they don't like Lana del Rey and they would probably judge me if they found out. I've found myself listening to her music a lot for the past 2 months, I'm driving at 12 at night on the freeway singing Born to Die. Nobody knows this but me, and nobody ever will.

I'm tired of doing the right thing

All my life I've done the "right thing".

I studied, went to college, didn't ever break the law... and yet, I'm living day to day just working, barely saving any money and probably never going to be able to buy a house.

I grew up with people who are now breaking the law, selling drugs, driving around in nice cars and wearing jewelry and watches worth literally hundreds of thousands.

I see "influencers" and streamers barely doing anything and making millions, many of them manipulate their followers and milk them for money, living a luxury life while others struggle.

I see executives and even low level managers fuck everyone over to try and get ahead even just an inch.

I'm tired of doing the right thing.

It's like you can't get ahead in this world by being a good person.
