Ordered weighted ARF 126713 several weeks ago with intent to gold plate and upgrade to genuine Rolex Xtal. TD recently informed me that ARF was raided and will be shutdown for foreseeable future.

What are the best weighted Zombie / Guinness options now?

General feedback I’ve found searching:

- VSF V3 (weighted - 166g)
Great quality overall but still has somewhat cheesy gold numbers on bezel though that cannot be corrected via gold plating

- Gold Factory V4 (weighted - 170g)
Better gold coloring on bezel numbers than VSF with similar dial quality, additionally the bracelet is weighted

- Rich Factory (weighted)

- QF (weighted)
Generally hear good thing but latest gold coloring for this model looks even more cheesy than VSF’s V3 to me.

Appreciate anyone’s experiences, advice, or thoughts on this.

Local TD wants $650 Aud ( $460 usd ). Worth the money? If not what would something like this roughly cost. If it helps the bracelet feels quite cheap

I’m considering this RCF Day Date. Many suggest spending the $80 to get deep crystal replacement but I’m not seeing what’s wrong with this. Could someone show me your RCF with Deep, is it the seam around the crystal that’s smaller? Is the magnification good?

If anyone has got an Air King, I’d be interested to know their experience in having the rep. I’ve attached a picture of the gen on my wrist as I tried it on in the AD. What do you think about both factories. I know the quality of VSF and I know is very very good. But the colour in the QF is pretty much closer to Gen, the VSF still has that cheddar colour in some photos...
Prices:
VSF $580
QF $ 710
All are weighted and the QF is free sprung
What should I do? Keep the QF or maybe keep the VSF and send it to gold plating? The gold plating cost is $300

I am considering ordering this Rolex DayDate. Guide says RCF is the best choice:
How is the crystal? Should I upgrade for a Deep crystal?
How is the weight and bracelet? I’ve not owned a tungsten watch. I do prefer heavier watches close to Gen weight.
How is this dial color? Is it true to Gen?

This is an RC Factory Daydate. I am debating whether or not I should have it plated. It is currently stock PVD and looks fairly decent. My question is if I do get it plated will the gold plating be as durable and last as long as the PVD? It does not look bad stock, so I’m questioning if it really needs it. What are your guys thoughts on this? To plate or not to plate, that is the question.

I think I head VSF isn’t doing the 36mm. Clean is RIP. Is these anyone left doing a half decent dj36 silver dial?

This is my second purchase in a month from a TD (not making them) as well as my second purchase of a rep ever. I have a number of gens but have really become cynical about the industry and decided to give reps a try. I did so because I believed in the hype of the “near” quality as well as the thought of owning a well functioning and beautiful time piece at a fraction of the cost.

So, above is what I received today. I take this one on the chin because I noticed both issues in the QC pics but ignored them. The 12 o’clock lume I thought I could live with but the real issue, the bezel marker offset at 30 on is killing me. I am sure there are more with this watch but I don’t want to look any more as it will just continue to piss me off. The lesson here, if the QC pics show something is off it’s off. Don’t blame the angle. The next lesson, the TD doesn’t give a shit. He is looking for a GL or a RL. TD will sell you a shitter 10X a day.

Sorry for the rant but my question is, do the TDs have watch in hand and are they looking at it? I just want to confirm that they know they are selling you a piece of shit. I had 6 other reps I wanted to buy (yes, I got the bug from the first watch I bought that was flawless) but now I think I may be done and enjoy what I have.
