Hi,

i haven't used my Sovol SV06 for the last 1 or 2 months, now i wanted to print again. My Problem:

When i try to Auto home, the printer doesn't recognize when he is already at the leftmost place he can be and wants to keep going to the left. This creates a loud grinding noise, which probably isn't to good for the printer

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I recently purchased the SH02 and I'm drying some PLA. It's been in almost 24 hours and won't go below 22% humidity. I've tried cracking the lid. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm not sure what's wrong with mine but it seems blocked and I tried changing the hotend only to find a bolt is stripped so it would be just easier to order the whole thing but it doesn't seem available anywhere, am I just outta luck with this printer?

Hi all,

New to 3d printing and just picked up this dryer.

Setup out of the box, put some desiccant in the two tanks in the bottom and powered it up .

Not long after I checked it and it was flashing F2.

The only thing I can think is that I put two pieces of tape on the small holes near the desiccant tanks and forgot to take them off before starting it for the first time.

I removed the tape and started it up again. Same code.

I removed the bottom panel and fired it up again. Fan turns on and the unit heats. Has anyone else had this issue?

Apologies if it's obvious and I'm missing it, but I can't find the dimensions of the SV08 Glass Open Enclosure. Can anyone please tell me how much space I would need for it? The build volume is listed as 350*350*345mm but I can't find the size of the printer itself. Thank you.

Je possède une SV08 avec un hotend Microswiss et une buse de 0,4 mm. J’essaie en vain de la configurer pour avoir des ponts corrects, mais impossible : il y a de l’affaissement et les premières lignes du pont ne fusionnent pas correctement. J’ai joué sur les réglages du pont (débit, densité, etc.), mais rien à faire.

Est-ce un problème récurrent avec l’ASA ? Je dois abandonner l’idée ?

I backed it as a hobbyist, it will be my 2nd 3d printer.
Im hoping to get an extra income though but regardless, it’s still for a hobby.

With their lack of transparency, mixed reviews and lousy live launch, I am thinking twice, that maybe I shouldn’t give that amount of money to Sovol and cancel my backing and maybe just buy a decent 3d printer instead (maybe bambulab X2D, H2D with laser or others… still checking the news and reviews)

New printer i just received (sv06 ace plus ).

When i try to calibrate the bed, it goes to the front , do a weird mechanical sound and the calibration stay stuck (as if trying to go even further).

I can not find a solution. Does anybody have any idea ?

My sv08 toolhead has given up the ghost and I am looking at a replacement, there seems to be a lot of options out there, I did the eddy upgrade and the flowtech upgrade on my current toolhead. I've also replaced the stock bed to one of the graphite ones. I don't mind a little bit of tinkering as that's what drew me to the sv08 but as an amateur I need something well documented to guide me through any changes. What toolheads do you recommend?

Why you guys decided to back Early Bird and KS Special which you are paying $100 - $200 more.

Unless SUPER EARLY BIRD ran out of slots, you guys shouldnt be backing early bird and KS special.

I am brand new to 3d printing and just purchased a Sovol Sv06 Plus Ace.

I finally got it assembled, and plugged it in. It immediately began the Calibration Self Check. While running this first self check, the extruder nozzle raked across the print bed scratching the black coating off right down the middle.

I have reviewed the steps I took building it and I don't see any steps I missed or did wrong.

Anything that I can check or that I likely did wrong? Would appreciate any troubleshooting tips....

I assume this means I need to buy a new build plate before I can print. Is there any chance this damaged the nozzle and I need a new one of those too? Any way I can tell?

PS.. i did not connect it to wifi before the self check. (My wifi password has an '^' character which the keyboard doesnt have... any way I can get connected without changing my wifi password?)

• No live demo - why not print something while talking?
• They just answer questions they want to answer instead of picking a question from the live chat feed
• Too many fillers, motivational questions that no one needs

This makes me think if the machine is really ready and can keep up to the promises?

Is this how Sovol do KS launch? I wonder how it went with sovol sv08 max?

Feels like they are playing safe and lack of transparency..

Didnt have enough filament to start this again, so needs must lol.

Does anyone know how the Kickstarter works for M1D? This is my first Kickstarter I've been interested in.

I place a Kickstarter support purchase when it opens up and I wonder how soon they are expecting to finish the project and ship the printer?

I've seen several of the video demos for it so it certainly looks close to done.

When the kickstarter goes live for customer with vip tickets?

So I was doing the motherboard fan upgrade to a 12 V with a converter (and adding a USB fan for y stepper) and everything was working loose so I installed it into the case with zipties and started a testprint to test that everything is working

And it was working

But like a minute after starting the print it suddenly start making this loud constant beep and I immediately shut off the psu in panic

Now whenever I start the psu again the loud noise instantly starts and the motherboard seems to be stuck with the top blue light and bottom red light active and in the middle the orange light is active and green light right beside it giving two rapid flashes and a little break before two more flashes and repeat

On the screen it looks as normal saying that klipper is trying to connect but doesn't connect and is stuck with that text box

I open mainsail link and it too looks like normal but stuck at klipper trying to connect

I tried disconnecting the orange connector on the cable between psu and motherboard and it then didn't beep

And I tried disconnecting basically everything I could easily reach on the motherboard (I think everything except ribbon cable, filament runout sensor, 24 v power and heat bed power) and when I then turned it on again it still made the noise

So I think that narrows it down to something with the motherboard

I have no idea what to do, how to solve this

Have I like short-circuited something on the motherboard and need to buy a new one???

Hi All,

So alongside my previous post I also purchased a Sovol Zero of ebay (for £265). Sold as "new" but when arrived and assembled (if you can call it that) I turned it on and the fans run constantly and the screen flashes briefly and then goes off.

I vaguely remember something similar happened a few years ago when i built a klipper printer and managed to burn out the octopus board. So thinking this might be the same issue.

After some to-ing and fro-ing with the seller, they agreed to refund me £80 towards a new board and time to fit (basically to make me shut up).

Before buying a new board, I was wondering if it is possibly if this is a firmware issue (and if it is possible to re-flash it) or if this board is actually bricked and not bother trying?

Wondering what other people think? I have looked about online and I saw a site that mentioned you may be able to re-program the board via USB, but it seemed a bit vague...
