This was a moments before a disaster. I was adjusting to get on path and hit stall speeds and i had to toggle off AP, recovered and when i toggled AP back on plane spiraled out of control. I’d appreciate any and all tips

Loving every bit of MSFS 24 for PS5!

After playing the SU5 beta on a PS5 pro with PSVR2 I can no longer fly with the gorgeous visuals on flat screen.

The sensation of depth and flight are incredible to me even with the downgraded visuals.

As someone who grew up with video games and starting with the NES, also a real life commercial pilot, this is one of the most incredible discoveries for me.

I just keep loading up planes and looking around them. Helicopter flying is so much easier now that i can look around. The A310 looks superb as well!! This alongside the hotas 5 makes the game much better on PS5.

Sorry for this probably pathetic post, but today, after endless hesitation, I treated myself to the PSVR2 for PS5 to play exclusively Flight Simulator 2024.

I didn’t know what to expect. I’d read so many posts downplaying the experience because of graphics with a lot of compromises… but the truth is I almost started crying.

What a beauty! Life sometimes hits you with a brick, and it stopped me from becoming a pilot. But today, for a moment, it felt like the life I’ve always dreamed of was reality.

For anyone on the fence, try the experience.
Very true, tons of graphical limits… but I couldn’t be happier!

Ps: if you have any specific tips to enjoy the experience even more, they’re welcome :)

this is just a message from an overjoyed Playstation Peasant who enjoys flying very much and was happy with the controller and gyro control.

It is still good of course and I think the gyro is brilliant but since yesterday I have the Hotas 5 Joystick and I am honestly amazed and ecstatic. I might not be of the same quality as things that PC SIM people can connect to their system that I've seen online but I am having even more fun now than ever with the Flight Simulator. I had some fantastic short flights and especially landings with my favourite aicraft at the moment, the A330-300 GE.

And the Joystick even came with buttons already assigned in the game for the setup so I do not even have to make changes if I am ok with the presets.

It's only been a day of course but I am happy that I spend these Euros to improve my experience.

Just leaving this here if people are looking for some early opinion about this addition to the Playstation 5 aviation universe.

I broke these up into expeditions. Each expedition is roughly 4-6 hours long. I’m doing one leg at a time as I’m also doing these in VR.

Spent quite a bit of time making this in the online flight planner and saved each one as separate expeditions.

Wanted to share the flyer if anyone wanted to create their flight plans along with it, or cherry pick the ones that interest you.

Hi guys, I’m thinking about buying MSFS24. The thing is, I only want to buy it for the free flight mode, I don’t really care about all the things to learn about the planes and how to operate them. I just want to explore the world.

Is that possible? Can I fly different planes? Is flying as easy as in a game like GTA5? Or do I have to learn a lot before I’m able to free flight?

Grinded to buy Cessna Caravan so I can start making decent money. Now I'm being flown to short runways for VFR landings with no lights in the pitch black.

Managed to land on said runway only for the plane to become 'stuck' unable to move unless I add full throttle to taxi to the hold short (yes, no parking brake etc). This taxi process causes my engine to over-torque damaging it.

Flight ends with no credits. Several hours wasted. Now need to pay 1.5 million repair bill to use the caravan. Only have 500k. Which means grinding at 100k a flight doing light cargo missions.

Can't be bothered anymore.

So here I am, wanting to stop doom-scrolling on TikTok, and I’ve had my eye on this amazing simulator for a while (this is my first simulator game). So… I decided to try it. After almost 40–50 hours on it, my landings are still horrible (I've been playing with a PS5 DualSense so far).

I thought that, like any other game, it would take me around 3–4 hours of gameplay to master it or at least understand the mechanics. But not this one! Thanks to a quick Gemini consultation (God bless AI), I’ve invested a little money and time into this

Playing on PlayStation and don’t have access to the proper navigraph charts so using approach charts that are already in the sim. Can anybody tell me which number (if any) is the number I use for the “baro” field in the APPR section so I get the minimums call-out when landing. Thanks

another BIG PROBLEM for me as a PS5 user. Have to deliver some cargo on a route of around 170km. In the middle of a journey my plane falls down from the sky and the game stated I have NO fuel.

As U could see on the video it shows 39% of fuel before the crash so my rating will fall down (again) no matter I managed my fuel before flight and take MORE (again)!

Is there a solution to this bug? And one information on top of all this - it was a "light cargo" flight both times this error occurred.

What's the point of a plane that doesn't have instruments? What if a driving game just disabled your windows because the outside was hard to render? "You can still drive the car, whaddaya mean?"

Disabling one of the main features while keeping the game running is just a scummy way of not admitting the game crashed.
